The pictures look incredible and so does the footage. If you end up opening it and cleaning it, can you please do a video on that? Thanks so much and take care.
I most certainly will share that process if I open it up! I’m glad you enjoyed some of the photos and video footage. Thank you and you also take care xx
Great video. For the video guys, could you please do a section without the moving vintage film overlay thingy. Would have loved to see more of how the lens performs for video. Especially on the S5. Other than that, great shots and great photos. Also voted for your photography nomination. Good luck 🤙
Thank you so much for your request, Andile. I have that *unvintaged footage at the end of this same video at 11:13 - it's a combination of 1080p and 4K footage so I chose to have the 4K footage sized to 50%. I usually upscale my 1080p footage but the 120fps and low light situation resulted in digital noise, which I didn't want to accentuate (and is also the reason for the Film Grain overlay in the beginning of this video). In the end sequence, I also kept the the first clip running a little longer to allow you to see how the contrast quality changes as you add light to the subject's face as she walks into the light. And thank you so very much for your vote! I appreciate it! xx
Did you figure it out? Sorry for the late reply. It's a 'preset' aperture system. It allows you to preset your max aperture. I have a Helios 442 as well.
Hi! Great video. I've got the Helios 44M 58mm however when I put it on my Lumix s5ii with adapter I cna't focus, meaning it move the ring but nothing is in focus whole the time. Is this something with the adapter? Inifinity focus issue? HELP!?
My favorite lens, my favorite camera. Cool video, thanks for sharing

i would love to subscribe your PODCAST channel just to hear your VOICE.
So I have the 44/2, I have not used it much, kinda confused about using the aperture ring, it seems to have a clickless way of opening

Which mike in your hand?

Oh no! Did you manage to figure out the focus issue?
🥰
Is it full frame, if so what is that then on a super 35 sensor?
Yes, it’s full frame.
