Just an FYI for anyone wondering why Tecorsuh doesn't list Raw Mutton on the taming times. Raw Mutton is indeed more effective than Raw Prime Meat, being the 2nd best taming food for carnivorous animals like the Dunkleosteus, HOWEVER Ovis sheep are somewhat rare, and Mutton can spoil quickly. If you have a steady Ovis farm going for Mutton, then by all means use Mutton for taming. But for people like myself who don't have an Ovis farm yet, Raw Prime Meat will always be a better choice overall. Also, he lists Narcotics per hour instead of Bio Toxin because Narcotics are overall easier to get, and convenient in some cases. However, just like with Mutton, if you have a good supply of Bio Toxin, then by all means, use that instead, since 1 Bio Toxin is twice as effective as 1 Narcotic. Keep up the great work Tecorsuh. Love your content 🤙🏽
One of my biggest regrets Is barely figuring out this game exists, I wish I knew about it when it came out I wouldve been all over it. I'm legit sad about this Edit:ive gotten into Ark since and I fucking love it
@@akiamini4006 the thought of taming and actually interacting with prehistoric animals was badass. But I noticed some other comments saying I haven't missed much, I believe them because i have a friend of mine who got into Ark, and she said it really isn't all its cracked up to be, I was slightly disappointed but not too much, at least I dident miss out on a damn near perfect game like Halo 2 or something lol
What he doesn’t tell you: a baryonyx is an op underwater tame you can use for all the underwater tames but a few, and the bqryinyyx is extremely easy to tame
This is a Dunky taming video, and he would naturally want to show how to tame a dunky. If your wondering why people would want dunky’s, their an excellent underwater resource Dino, getting underwater metal and oil. These are almost a necessary tame for any non-tek ocean base, such as a ocean plat base.
Tip. Hop off your tame and leave it in front of the cage while you go around to shut the door. A lot of the time the wild dino focuses on your tame and stays in the cage instead of turning around and escaping trying to attack you.
tusos can help by carrying them. it gives torpor to the dino you carry but you need to jump off the tuso before the dino your carrying torpor fills because once that dinos torpor fills all the way, the tuso will eat it so you do need a couple of tranqu arrows
Bruh i emptied 200 tranq arrows on a 130 dunkle with a apperintice crossbow but it died! I was soo pissed thanks for the content BTW i think im going to use tranq spears this time they are so useful maybe used them as bait for tuso

Easiest tame ever in my life sadle a itchy get the compound bow from hunt basilosuraus and get in itchy then use toxic ant arrows wait 5 secs for the next shot and sadle engram doesn’t work so don’t waste engrams
On mobile ark, dunks are REALLY easy to tame. Once again, this is because of ichthys. Dunks don’t aggro on ichthys at all especially if you’re firing tranqs at it from the back of an ichthy. And because many sea creatures don’t aggro on ichthys for long or at all, that means you can easily just kill a leeds and feed the dunk a lot of prime fish meat. I play mobile ark a lot so I know this from experience. Edit: One last thing I forgot to mention is that the dunk I tamed was in an area where the sea floor isn’t very deep, so the dunk spawned closer to the surface.
That's easy. Find a wild Bee Hive that's occupied, and bring a couple tamed Dimorphodons with you. Maintain a safe distance from the Hive while you order your Dimorphs to attack the Hive. You won't need to worry about the Bees at this point because the Dimorphs essentially spawn-trap them. As soon as it breaks open, set your Dimorphs back to Passive and call them back to you. Have them land on the ground and put on Bug Repellant, then walk up and tame the Queen Bee with either Simple Kibble, or Rare Flowers.
You can do both, but doing it over the span of an hour will defeat (most of) the purpose of making sure you don't have to worry about it's torpor for a long time.
The problem I have now is that it only aggros on me whenever it swims/flees near it's pack/swarm members, basically like the Morellatops from Scrotched Earth but how can I avoid that when I shoot it? It didn't aggro on me by itself when I was riding my sarco and I hit every single shot with the harpune... I tried this today but I failed and had all my ammo gone, yet I had no Dunkleo.. also those electro fish thingies and the plesios were near so it was hard to do it as simple as described in the video (although it worked for a short time but yeah then it started swimming to the dangers and I couldn't place a trap anywhere before) Are there any new tips you could give? I was very very well prepared and just wanna know how I can avoid such troubles during the taming
btw i dont know if this counts but im pretty sure that the male dunkleos dont attack you unless you attack them but if its a female that crap will agro on you
6:50 That's not true, they have weight reduction on Oil by 50%. Maybe that wasn't the case when you made this vid, I actually don't know. Just putting it out there for future viewers.
What? They're aggressive? I actually tried to kite them to the shallows but I couldn't since they didn't care about me and just ran, the only two problems I had was the other creatures and the high torpidity.
Due to an update changing taming times, times and quantity of food mentioned during that section are approximately halved.
