One of the most iconic for sure!! I wasn't around to live through that whole period so I'm not 100% sure what has stuck with thrash fans **of the time** as most iconic, but ofc, you have to account for popularity when talking ab iconography, so for me personally it HAS to be Master of Puppets and that INSANE down-picking intro. And also ofc, just as popularity isn't all that makes the icon, it isn't all that decides the quality either, not trying to downplay how awesome Slayer's riff is or say anyone is better at all :)
Mike Miniboss If you already haven't , please listen Ghost's "Cirice" for the opening riff. It certainly has the influence of this and even more of "South Of Heaven". I think it is a homage as well.

I was around in the 80's during the hay day of the big four and seen them all numerous times live and just could not get in to Slayer at all, all my mates where Metallica and Slayer crazy yet for me it was Megadeth and Anthrax. I once drunkenly slept just off the side of the stage completely through a Slayer gig on the Clash of the Titans tour because i had to wait for my mates who wanted to watch them perform. I had watched Anthrax and Megadeth and i was happy to leave but couldn't leave with out them so found some empty seats just off to the side of the stage and slept through the whole Slayer show. Hard to believe with them being so loud but as i was pissed as a c**t i slept like a baby. Fast forward 30 years and i still don't see the appeal, to me it is nothing more than just noise.
Great video man! Love the real reactions to Slayer. Unfortunately Slayer has retired 😥. Check out the songs South Of Heaven, Skeletons Of Society, Seasons In The Abyss, L.A. 92 ft. Ice T. Also first time on your channel and I liked what I saw!! Keep on bringing more metal! Also, you should react to Slipknot fire pit in Phoenix Arizona 11-02-21 There are multiple video angles of the portal to Hell, aka the fire pit
Please do "Angel of Death" next it's amazing, great reaction Jayvee thanks!
Loved them from the beginning. Try song," Dead Skin Mask" slower but great
