Berry picking and foraging - Survival food: Autumn olives - How to make Autumn olive jelly.

Foraging for wild berries is one of my favorite things to do in the fall but it is also a great survival food. One of the most plentiful wild berries on the east coast is the Autumn olive berry. They are invasive and grown in massive clumps that make them super easy to harvest in large quantities in the fall. My boys and I harvested 27 lbs of berries in about 2 hours. In this video I show how to make Autumn olive jelly - and even what not to do when making autumn olive jelly.
