Chanty is the new Filipino Kpop idol that mostly Filipinos are supporting rn in Kpop industry just basing on how much views she has each Fancam after Sunmi and Naeyon these past few weeks.
I love how some of these Korean guests mentioned and recognised PPOP and how it's slowly penetrating the global music scene. While I support these Filipinos who are trying to make it big in the KPOP industry (esp. Kriesha Chu since I followed her journey in KPOP Star 6 before), I think it won't be long until Filipino artists won't have to go abroad to be recognised for their talents and skills in performing.
I MISS KRIESHA CHU😭 She's got decent following after Kpop Star 6 and was already known because of her visuals. She honestly could've made it big in the kpop scene.

There were news of her making a comeback after her last web series. I think I even saw a clip of Kriesha telling fans to wait a bit and look forward to her comeback. It’s already been two years and still nothing. But a few days ago, Urbanworks removed Kriesha’s name in their list of artists. Her contract with the company must have already expired. No official statement from Urbanworks nor from Kriesha herself. We don’t know if Kriesha will be coming back in the kpop scene. It’s difficult to process for the fans but we genuinely wish the best for Kriesha.

I am clueless about K-Pop or other artists in South Korea but I am fascinated about the acceptance of Filipinos because of their sheer talent in foreign countries. Here in the US, many talented half Filipinos are recognized enormously, one of the biggest is Bruno Mars and there's plenty more. Slowly, but surely Filipinos of all mixed nationalities are now the next superstars in the entertainment business. Go Philippines!
Filipinos that look Korean most likely have Chinese ancestry. I have 3% Chinese ancestry according to 23andMe. I am Filipino-American and lived in Korea for a long time. Every Korean I’ve met thought I’m Korean, including my Korean wife. Lol. Have not learned any Korean because I work with mostly Americans and Koreans that speak English.
Kriesha Chu is the only one I know here and she's got amazing and beautiful vocal talent and also recently discovered Chanty and surprised she's a Filipino as well. Even more surprised that the rapper DOK2 is also Filipino. Wow!

My opinion being in big agency is a given na suportado talaga to get big at sisikat , pero pag talented kahit start ka sa small agency sisikat ka pa rin, kagaya ng Seventeen they work hard and talented kaya they became sikat.

I've seen many Filipino-Korean & all of them pass as full Korean. They all do, I don't know how they are surprised? Asian x Asian. Filipino features? They expect flat nose no that is minority of Pinoy but Stereotype. Koreans can be dark skin too although minority descriminated there but all modern Koreans have 5% Southeast Asian/Oceanic blood confirmed.

But you can still have a normal life, have children that's what I read in Google. Yeah, her cousin said that Kriesha is healthy, doing well and finding the right time to come back.

I've seen many Filipino-Korean & all of them pass as full Korean. They all do, I don't know how they are surprised? Asian x Asian. Filipino features? They expect flat nose no that is minority of Pinoy but Stereotype. Koreans can be dark skin too although minority descriminated there but all modern Koreans have 5% Southeast Asian/Oceanic blood confirmed.
