Great video of the ALCO'S which are 1 of my favorite locomotives! That WC Alco is one fine looking locomotive and has been kept in pristine condition! Thanks for sharing this video with us along with your time and effort!
Spent an entire day at steamtown in 2018 touring the roundhouse and enjoying the Alco's switching the yard and local spur tracks. Wonderful opportunity to see and hear them up close and personal. Great rail line in Eastern PA.
+drby0788 Yes, this was the PRR's West Chester Branch. SEPTA still uses the portion of the line closer to Phila. The outer portion was sold to the shortline shown in the video.

Man those alco's are a rocking and rolling.
That 4213 is a beauty.
*Great video. Excellent!* 👍👍👍I can't keep up with my first diesel video.😉
The horn on those ex-DL&W MUs remind me so much of the old, South Shore MU horns...and some were put on the newer MUs too! :)
Awesome video! I was at the West Chester Railroad once!
Love from India ❤️
Have you noticed they're almost playing "Jingle bells" on the bell @ 2:49? or maybe it's just me. :-/
High speed on jointed rail = awesome
First class video,superb sound.
Great shots!
There is never a bad day chasing Alco's!!!!!!
seems that one line was electrified at one point.

real nice
I've often wondered, besides being totally awesome, why is the D&L all ALCo powered? Sure pleases us railfans!
Streamlined Steamroller Mostly because the owner is an Alco lover. Also Alcos are much cheaper to purchase on the used loco market.
fmnut Very true. He sure has good taste!
@@fmnut because you can’t get parts for them !
2:49 is that jingle bells?
great !!!
If only a shortline could have done with the old Fairbanks Morse H-liners and Trainmasters like what D&L has been doing with ALCOs...
I wager the Steamer at 1:00 is a MLW...
