Less than 2 years experience in cyber security and have an interview for another job next week with a 105k base salary plus bonus, 27 PTO days and fully remote. If I get it it’ll be a 30% bump from my 81k salary as an IT Security Analyst.
Thanks that’s great info!!!! Right now I’m working on my Associates in Networking and Cyber Security. Just like Mr. Hess says, it’s been rewarding so far and I’m barely beginning!!!!!
@@hawkeye770 it’s good. I’m currently working part-time at my local school district IT office. I’ve been learning a lot in various things. At this time, I’m doing MOBO level repairs and such while I finish school. One source that’s really helped me a lot is Louis Rossmann and others like him. It’s really rewarding when you actually work/fix something out and make it work again.
How does one even begin in this field do you really have to go to school and spend a shit load of money or can I just study on my own and ask my friend to help me he’s already in this line of work
A lot of people in the IT field are self-taught. Some go to school for it and others do a bit of both: learn some things on their own and go to school to supplement what they've learned.
Hello Sir Can I opt for cloud computing? as I have completed my bachelors in software engineering . Secondly, is masters in cloud computing worth doing ? Or yah sit for certificates Thanks
It all depends on your background and your passion. Having said that, if you have basic computer knowledge and you love computers, then go for the cloud. All the 3 major cloud skills are great. Remember, the cloud isn't one skill, it has multiple skills you can pursue. This video is promoting Network skills, which is great, but it's a bit disingenuous because he is promoting his training company. :-) If you have any IT career-related questions let me know. I worked in this industry for more than 20 yrs.
@@Ahmed-ITPro hey Ahmed, I really need some advice. I don’t know what to pursue. Networking gives me the sense that it’s long term future might not be secure as automation progresses. I want a career with a good future, the only thing is I don’t like coding much. But I am good with computers.
Guys just do a Job in which you earn enough to put some Hundred Dollars aside and educate yourself on Trading you DONT need a 100.000$ Job to earn good money
Job security and benefits retirement and health care. Having skills for a stable income is more important than a get rich quick scheme. Sure work enough to make a few buck to trade then when the markets aren't doing well what then? Use logic. Also these companies give stock options and with a high paying steady year salary investment is made much easier. I can go on and on why having a career is better that what you advised above.
lol good luck with that plan. You must be young and looking for shortcuts. There aren't any. Long term, providing value is the only way to win at life.

What about the Cloud ☁️ ? Don't you guys teach Azure or AWS ??? Hence why it's not in your top 4 ? Cloud & Cyber Security should & are number 1 & 2
I completely agree with you 101%
Please, do you actually need a degree for these if you want to get into them
