I believe that this woman spoke from the heart. A very lovely woman, remembering a very lovely man who passed away, untimely. Please, respect that fact. :)
In any picture that is of Brooke and Michael, he always looked so happy, with shinning eyes. Her speech was great because she humanized him. She showed him as a person, not just a celebrity. Happy 51st birthday, Michael. I just lit a candle for you. Peace for eternity.
I am so sick of people commenting and talking shit about Brooke. She DID defend him, both in 93 and 05, in multiple interviews. Is it that hard to do your own research, rather than speculate or listen to the media(Which, as MJ fans, you should be smart enough to know better than to do). She tried many times to get through to him, but as time went on, it became increasingly more difficult. He pushed people away, mostly out of paranoia, and he was surrounded by a lot of shady people, who kept him sheltered from the people who loved him and wanted what was best for him. People would know all these things if they did this thing called research!

The last time she met MJ was in the 1992 shortly before the first accusation... after that she didn't meet him again or even call him... she said it in an interview (if it was true she liked his laugh so much, she could call him more often so she could listen to it...) if one of my friends treated me like that, I would kick his ass.. but MJ had a big heart and in the same interview she said that MJ sent a bunch of flowers when brook's father died and she still didn't call him.. for more than 17 years he didn't calculate him and then cries at his death? Are you kidding? She's a bitch!!!! Do you remember that when Brook dated with MJ she was (unjustly) insulted by MJ groopies and she was rightly angry... when MJ had children thanks to Deborah, Brook said that Deborah is a half-woman... what an envious bitch!!! At a time when all the press was against MJ (who only wanted to be a father) and the whole world hated Deborah just because she wanted to make her friend happy, his BIG friend Brook instead of helping and supporting him, he has humilieted his (pregnant) wife... she not only wasn't a good friend but doesn't even have a shred of female solidariety...

Whenever I see Brooke in films or television shows, I always, always, always think of her speech at this moment. I absolutely love Brooke! And loved her even more when I discovered she had a friendship with Michael. Yes, it is a shame that Brooke and Michael did not remain friends - particularly when they were both going through tough times in their lives that were made very public... But that is life. Friendships fade, and people leave your life. There's nothing that can be done about it now.

Even if at some point they didn't see each other and didn't speak often, it's obvious that there was a deep conenction between them. And Brooke was always on his side. In every interview of here in 1993 and 2005 trials she did defend Michael. And that's important, even if they didn't see each other, their friendship remained. This is for all the Michael fans that started to hate Brooke for little to no reason. She was loyal and she really cared and that's what's important for me. Whenever I see Brooke in films or television shows, I always, always, always think of her speech at this moment. I absolutely love Brooke! And loved her even more when I discovered she had a friendship with Michael.
Yes, it is a shame that Brooke and Michael did not remain friends - particularly when they were both going through tough times in their lives that were made very public... But that is life. Friendships fade, and people leave your life. There's nothing that can be done about it now.

Even if at some point they didn't see each other and didn't speak often, it's obvious that there was a deep conenction between them. And Brooke was always on his side. In every interview of here in 1993 and 2005 trials she did defend Michael. And that's important, even if they didn't see each other, their friendship remained.
This is for all the Michael fans that started to hate Brooke for little to no reason. She was loyal and she really cared and that's what's important for me.
And of course after 1993 they didn't appear together in public as he shortly got marriend with Lisa Marie.
