    Sarah, my four year old girl is just transfixed on this video. The normally rambunctious, rowdy, and wild girl, is so reverent while watching you, and we have begun using your morning verse to transition from bed to waking in a gentle and soothing way. Lovely. Thank you. You make such an impact. What a blessing. You glow. :) Much love and light to you and yours.

    Love these! My daughter's nursery class sings a little different one you may know..."Let's tidy up, let's tidy up, let's put our things away, let's tidy up, let's tidy up, tomorrow's another day." It's amazing how little ones respond to these simple songs. :)

    Does anyone else run into the challenge of singing so high? I am naturally a low alto and the high registers are difficult for me. In teacher training my music teacher responded to this by saying that even altos can sing high-but my question is more, why?

    These are great! Are there anymore? I was a nanny to a homeschool family supposedly Waldorf. The mom never gave me anything like this to do. I was one of those at the park "we leave in 5 minutes." "We leave in 3 minutes. We need to be winding down our play." "we leave in 2 minutes."

I am organizing the first mother and child group and soon the first child group at home with my son included for the first ever Waldorf Kindergarten here in Cyprus. I have a class teacher education and trying to learn songs for younger children. Thank you.

    Want to know as a single mom, I have studied waldorf education when my oldest was younger soon to go to college and go the foundalmental courses certificate. I than had two interviews with the group of teachers but was never hired on to do teacher training at the school i was hoping to teach at so my son who I had to take out because i could not afford 1000.00 a month on tuition plus a new born baby and keep working three jobs so he could go to school. Now I would have liked to send my youngest but now I would have to go back to school which could mean another 3000 grand for me and even with tuition help for him another three grand for him..If I got a job teaching which seems tricky to get although a woman there in charge thinks I would make a great teacher does not give me the promise of a job, and I feel I would just be more broke it is just me to support my kids after a long emotional and mentally abusive marriage and no child support . I like what you said how to do waldorf at home and I am thinking of ways to incorporate that in our lives instead and maybe plan a farm trip and things that might follow the waldorf spirit with my littlest one now I light a candle in the morning sing songs and fire fairy and we all try to have some quiet time before my oldest have to leave at 650am we try and hold hands at meals and now I like this about verses to say, I am also going to use utube to do some letter dances for my youngest. I am wanting encouragement on what I should do with my future do you think I should try to pursue teaching waldorf than my kids can go or do I try and find ways to work with adults that is my real happiness.

    At a daycare I volunteered at the teachers would end nap time by flipping on the lights and saying “time to wake up” 😬🤨 Not a great way to wake up

    • @SundaywithSarah
      @SundaywithSarah  6 лет назад +9

      Ouch, Erica! That would be a really jarring transition! I remember in my public school kindergarten class many moons ago the teacher would choose one child who had been very quiet during rest time to be the "Wake Up Fairy." The Wake Up Fairy was given a wand (actually a dish scrubber with a sponge-y head) and he or she would quietly tap each child on the head, one-by-one, which meant you could quietly put your mat away and come to the circle. I wish now that I had tried this in my Waldorf kindergarten. It would provide an incentive for children to rest quietly!

      I worked at a daycare, where the teachers frowned on me for trying to calm down 6month or younger babies when we put them in the crib and they were crying. I was being a negative influence and wasn't letting them learn to be on their own....they were 6months and younger :o

    Your so intriguing ! just mesmerizing. I think these songs will really be helpful for my little baby girl . My angel scares easy so I cant tell her anything's with a serious face or scream nor knock at her door or she gets really scared so our home is quite but I don't think that helps when she's in day care so singing would be a much smoother transition for my sweet pea. thank you so much seriously your of great help to young moms such as me. p.s. I love your online store.

      +M.J.MommyOnTheGo ~ Greetings,
      If your little one is still a bit scared of noises etc. you may want to try some Homeopathy as it has helped many children in my Daycare throughout the years. Dana Ullman has authored a book on Homeopathy for infants and children, and Dr. Papon's Book: Homeopathy Made Simple is great too!
      Good Luck! P.S, Homeopathy is so wonderful for all of us as it has no side effects and you can never overdose with it. Truly a gift from Nature!
