I remember me and my friend eating ravioli and grind chicken burgers with peaches and mashed potatoes when we rode ou bikes and stuff around Switzerland in the early 90s from camp site to camp site to save money. A bag of chips cost a relative fortune at 5 and a half franks.
as a swiss citizen i can only agree, prices are absolutely nuts here. even for people with an ordinary wage it's often too expensive, many swiss buy their food in germany for that reason.
@@jadenkrizz yes, obviously they don't just buy 5 peaches and a loaf of bread, they buy food for multiple hundred bucks and then freeze it back home. many brands are easily 4 times as expensive here, even exported swiss brands like ricola, frey, cailler etc. cost less in germany, it's just ridiculous at this point.
My home city! So cool to see that you both were hanging out there. Yes, kebab in Zurich is a great budget meal and it's filling. Nowadays they don't go for less than CHF 10 sadly. Missing Zurich, hoping to move back one day.
We had a great time in Zurich! Yes, it is crazy expensive but did not feel out of reach to see for one night. Hopefully we will find our way back into the country eventually. Thanks for watching!
ässbar is swiss slang for essbar in german which means edible in english. many bars or restaurants implement this kind of joke in their name. bar is a common postfix and it just happens to be a recognisable word in english everyone knows and it relates to their profession
Visited Europe for the first time and Switzerland is my first. Yes my wallet just died after 😂 Find their coffee/tea/hot chocolate same price almost everywhere Zurich HB during the Christmas Market is RIDICULOUSLY PACKED 😂
Ass-Bar ;)) is something we all should be doing ! They are so affordable because the food they get to sell is often about to expire. This is zero waste and responsible m
Hey guys, i will have 6 hours layover in Zurich, I am planinnig to explore the city a bit. Is the Tram #10 connected at the Zurich Airport arrival? And you pay the storage locker with credit card? Thanks
Same! We were lucky enough to have a friend who could host us for the night. 😀 Otherwise we never would have made it to Switzerland. We do come back the following week as we found a way to stay for free! Stay tuned!
Haha we had a situation back in Germany where we were sitting at the wrong airport for 4 hours. Then, had to take a very expensive taxi to the correct airport. I think there is some PTSD from that day and we always jokingly, or not, ask each other if we're going to the correct airport.

Brilliant share, I lived in Zurich for a long time but I now live my time out of a large city.

I feel like you all packed alot into this ! See you in France!!
Zurich must have given us an energy boost once we hit the city!
I tried going there, but the accommodation options were surrealisticly expensive.

Great videos! Do you guys use travel insurance? We are planning to do something similar in a few years!
We absolutely do! Our insurance is through Safetywing.
The price for food is crazy but everything is expensive there too bad
Hi guys! Which grocery did you go to near the end of the video? I’d hangout there a lot for sure haha
Hi! The Grocery store was in the main train station in Zurich. Nothing special but still amazing when it came to affordable prepackaged meals!
Can i pay with euro there and more thing like pay tax in the stores?
Hope you two boys enjoyed Zürich!
Where did you storage the bags? In the airport?
Go back to the video and we give all the details. Not only where we stored our bags but how much it costs too. Thanks for watching!
There's only one airport in Stockholm...... B haha haha funny but not really :)
