My adult son was diagnosed w/stage 4 kidney cancer. It was in his brain, lungs, bones, all over. His kidney was removed and he was put on Sutent and told to find something to enjoy every day. I started trying to find something that would help him and started making kombucha, milk kefir, and fermented cabbage. I was taking these foods to him and he actually tried them. He told me if he wouldn't eat them for three days in a row, he wouldn't feel good that day so, he asked me to show him how to make the foods and he did it himself. His CT scans started coming back w/less and less cancer and the doctors were awed. They told him whatever he was doing, to keep doing it. He is ten years cancer free and the doctors call him an anomaly. He still gets scans twice/year and every time he sees a new doctor they tell him he isn't supposed to be here. I can't say that was what cured him but I was told at OSU they no longer use Sutent because it didn't work. It definitely didn't hurt him.

Hi! Wonderful to hear! I just wanted to warn against so many CT scans. They can contribute to cancer .. the damage that they cause is cumulative. So the more scans you have , the more dangerous. I know they are working hard for their health, so just wanted to share. There are other options that don't cause radiation damage. An MRI , or Ultrasound . ❤

Don’t forget, sauerkraut is INCREDIBLY easy and cheap to make. Lots of tutorials….the hardest part is waiting for it to ferment. You can do a massaged type kraut, or a non massaged type kraut for less work on your hands. It’s delicious and you can add your own spices. Whatever you like. I always have a half gallon jar in my fridge full of homemade ferment kraut. Always use organic cabbage. You can also ferment carrots, cucumbers, anything really that’s a tougher type veggie.

I must mention that the Hispanic office cleaning guy where I worked, discovered he had stage 3 stomach cancer. Since he and his wife spoke little English, the main thing they emphasized is that he drank aloe juice, and it made a huge improvement in his health. I wonder if any studies have been done on aloe? I retired and lost contact with them, so I don’t know the long term outcome.

Thank You for sharing your information about ALOE VERA as I myself grow this desert leafy herb throughout my organic Phuket Thailand Gardens. I add the gel to my diet recipes and even apply this gel to my skin all over my body most every morning. This is my anti-aging program and aloe is a medicinal herb that supports immunity.

Fascinating discussion! Dr. William Davis focuses on improving the microbiome by having his followers make their own yogurt of species that are generally lacking in modern people and not found in commercial yogurts. He also recommends fermenting the yogurt for 36-40 hours, a much longer time than commercial yogurt is fermented, thus dramatically increasing the numbers of microorganisms. In addition to probiotic yogurts and prebiotic foods, he urges elimination of foods that damage our guts. And, the importance of a healthy microbiome is not limited to cancer, as an unhealthy microbiome can also contribute to numerous auto-immune diseases.
I’ve been eating Bubbies’ sauerkraut for many years but hadn’t thought about it not being organic until you pointed that out.

I remember years ago, in the 70's, the discussion that those that regularly ate yogurt lived longer. Prob. eluding to the power of probiotics, strengthening one's immune system, although they didn't use the term "probiotic" much back then.

The cancer does not block the immune system. The same toxins that caused the cancer usually suppress the immune system and a lot of time, the immune suppression comes before the tumor.

Sharing this info. Can you confirm: putting sugar in yoghurt effectively kills the culture, or the benefit? And so the jars of sauerkraut I keep in the pantry are not probiotic. I need the refrigerated kind? THANK YOU SO MUCH. Will subscribe soon to your new member option.
