Review Uncommon Valor
No matter how many times Buck tells the grenade story I laugh every time.
If that was me, I’d be cursing myself for laughing at all the guys that bought adult diapers from the px because I’d shit myself!!! 😂 😂 😂
That Jer Bear is becoming mythical.
“I’m pregnant”
“We don’t have a dad so that’s weird” absolutely killed me
"We don't have a dad so that's weird?" - Buck. Brother, I fell the fk out! 🤣😂🤣😂
The SEAL leader is "Reese" from "The Terminator." He was also "Hicks" in Aliens 2.
not to forget: also the leader of the Seal Team in The Abyss and The Rock
And the seal leader from that James Bond movie, The Rock
Don't forget Johnny Ringo from Tombstone. And Bill Paxton was in it with him.
@@snowbear163 I think Bill and Michael were in either 6 or 8 films together.
@@larrypeterson1227 they only did 5 together, but man talk about some memorable movies and characters
Next you need to do S.W.A.T.
Also, that casual "we don't have a dad so that's weird" killed me Buck.
It’s so bad but you have to watch it to understand how bad it is lol
that was a funny story.
@@Chris09978 agreed. It’s so damn horrible
"We don't have a dad, so that's weird"...dude I laughed myself into an asthma attack
Surely the "Spec Ops Ninjas" idea started with the SAS embassy siege in 1980? It would have been a lot people's first exposure to the Tier 1 world.
6 days is a good movie all about it.
They were hardly ninjas. They were being filmed live on TV in downtown London which was a complete circus. As far from ninja as possible. In most countries SWAT would had been used.
The camaraderie is real. It’s the thing that is hardest to replicate. I do miss it.
I will point out one thing that caused me issues when I was in and bonding, I am not a drinker. Both my parents were alcoholics so I chose not to drink as an adult. That did affect unit dynamics and even though I was good at my job and gave it my best and was reliable, I was never apart of the inner group even if I offered to be designated driver.
But I was always tasked as unit duty driver for major events so I spent all night driving soldiers and officers home.
I do feel punished and ostracised for choosing not to drink. Even though I still bought cartons and 6 packs as per ‘unit rules’ the fact I didn’t drink did come at a cost. I didn’t even drink coffee, it wasn’t that I treated my body like a temple it was just a choice based upon my upbringing.
I know it’ll never change entirely but I’d like to see it ease up.
Just my experience.
I do love the beers and breakdowns and the Wine and MRE videos. That squid one had me in stitches.
Man what a cast. So you have Michael Biehn who did Terminator, Aliens, The Rock, and Tombstone. Bill Paxton who was also in Terminator, Aliens, and Tombstone. Rick Rossovich who was also in Terminator and Top Gun.
SEAL snipers do not use spotters. They are trained from day 1 to operate alone. I believe they are the only unit that does this.
Michael Biehn is the actor you didn't like and I think he probably got the lead because of his other roles, The original terminator and Aliens, with the space marines and He was in the Rock (Navy seal commander Anderson). And Yes that's what I miss from my military days were the comradery, you just can't duplicate that in the civilian world (at least for me)
And he was also the sheriff in Grindhouse Planet Terror
We need some SEALs to come and do a response commentary to this 🤣 🤣 🤣 I LOVE it when Green Berets and Navy SEALs talk $h!+ to each other! It is the absolute best!!!
The Unit was my jam back in the day but I'm still crossing it never got a proper series ending.
It was a good series. Mac was my favorite and his wife tiffy was a ho
@Adam Ethridge Agreed. Mac was my favorite and Tiffy was the best looking wife.
While latter two seasons still had some bangers out there they weren't same writing wise. They really went full paranormal with all that spear and Jeebus shait.
@@ossihurme7572 yea that was weird it like walker Texas Ranger after season 3 it all went to shit
I loved that show and if there ever was a show NOT meant for network tv it was that one. Imagine how much better it would have been if it was on cable of if streaming existed back then.
Dennis Haysbert was a SEAL in this movie and CAG in "The Unit" but Max Martini toped that: CAG in "The Unit", DEVGRU in "Captain Phillips", SWAT in "24 (day one)", Marine/ GRS in "13 Hours" and he fought big ass monster aliens in "Pacific Rim".
Man, he's a god damned American hero!
He was the major in Jarhead who called in the air strike on the airfield
It's Michael Biehn goddamn it. Show some respect!!!! The man is a national treasure!
Bill Paxton and his Barrett was classic 80s action movie awesomeness. Overall a great 80s movie cast, cheesy drama and action, just barely came out in the wrong decade though.
Well they probably underwent filming in '89 for it to come out in '90 so don't feel so bad. Hard to beat Commando though.
@@snowbear163 Well all of the films from 1990 had a 80's look and feel to 'em, largely due to the fact they shot those films the year before, prime examples besides this classic action flick, Hunt for Red October, Die Hard 2, Flight of The Intruder and Firebirds with Nick Cage and Tommy Lee Jones.
Love The Unit, Mack was a gangster. You guys should definitely do a review of a few scenes!
Mack was my favorite character
Good Ole "Snakebite"...
@@johnpelfrey2041 there was no snakebite. Snake DOCTOR. Put some respect on Jonas Blaine's name
Man that tv show was one giant cringe fest
@@Corywinget81 you mean president palmer
Would love to see yall do a Beers and Breakdown of:
The Unit (TV show 2006-2009),
Over There ( TV show 2005),
Strike Back (TV show 2010-2020)
Agreed, would love to see some reactions on a couple of Strikeback's firefights
The Unit? T1000, the dude from Saving Private Ryan who blew up the nazi tank with the RPG and the president from 24
Point taken. In Lethal Weapon, the single sniper scene=the baddies walked up on Riggs from behind and caught him😞
I used to work with a retired SEAL and we were discussing the movie Navy SEALs one time. He said the only realistic part in the whole movie was waking up drunk on the beach 😂😂😂
Ninja Turtles was the sh*t when it came out. I had all the Ninja Turtles, Bebop, Rocksteady, Shredder, Casey Jones
Took me down memory lane boys.
FNG is AWESOME, always more to beers and breakdowns than just the beers and the breakdowns.
I am here for the conversations and laughs.
The ol Jerr bear story is still by far my favorite story time with Buck!
Tall tales with Buck
' I'm pregnant"
- "but we dont have dad's"
Lol to the moon's on that one.
This movie, is by far one of my favorite action movies. For a couple of reasons. One being, those are REAL MP5SDs being used in the film, not fakes, or clones. Second being, this is one of the first films of that era, which showed the operators actually shouldering their weapons, rather than shooting from the hip. And the third reason, is how they are using the MP5s pushing outward through the sling...which was the SAS style of shooting, and was detailed in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six novel.
Well you gotta hip fire man, so you can see the actors' faces. Can't pay all that money to have them behind weapons or helmets. Everyone knows bad guys can't aim and ammo isn't a problem so you just hip fire and say something cool when you do it.
Exactly riight, GodOfWar221.....for once they used real tactics and tactics in a motion picture. Up until this movie, no one ever shouldered their weapons especially during cqb and no one had ever seen a center peel in a movie either.
For it's time, this was a great recruitment film.
Yeah and did you know Rainbow Six's leader "Ding" Chavez was the sniper from Clear and Present Danger?
He was only a sniper in the movie, in the book they gave him an H&K and after firing it he said "where have you been all my life" Ding later became Mr Clark's son-in-law.
you guys NEED to react to SEAL team. I would recommend season 3 episode 5 "All along the watchtower"
I'd love to see these guys do a breakdown of SEAL Team or The Unit.
Yeah I would to
What about the show SiX. I think it was pretty good
@@josephbell5285 SIX was terrible SEAL team is okay, got better when it switched to a streaming service, less restrictions.
I think you're wrong about something. No, special ops guys are not superman, they are human and luck absolutely plays a part, there a more similarities than differences betwern the groups and very few people are worthy of being put on a pedestal. With that said , to say you're all the same and it was nothing but luck is bullshit, it down plays the service and sacrifice of the military, to include you 2 guys. I don't think the Hollywood /mythical way the military is shown at times, especially operators, is correct or fair but you can't just walk into the recruiter and say I dont want infantry I wanna be CAG or Devgru and they say no problem they're all basically same just sign here and well CAG needs some guys and away you go.
I had been waiting for this one for a long time… did not disappoint! And having Kurt around for this one was perfect.
Long Live Beers and Breakdowns!
Man I always love watching a good Beers and Breakdowns, but ya'lls "story time" moments always make me laugh. No matter how long you draw the episode out or how many times I've heard it. You guys killed it!
This is hands down my favorite reaction from you guys.
Did y’all notice that the guy that Sheen chokes at the bar is Titus Welliver from Bosch?
🎵the boys are back in town🎵 Navy Seals was one of my favorite movies when I was little lol I loved how crazy Charlie Sheen was and the fact that he never broke character all these years later
😂
44:26 - I don't watch these for your breakdowns, I watch these for the stories :)
Do a reaction to GI JANE I know Shawn’s reaction would be hilarious
Epic job laying out the FAFO Lima Kilo graph. Great stories, and Kurt laughing makes it even better. Well done!
The Unit would be an awesome show to breakdown, especially for this era of RUclips, doesn’t really have any swearing and is more mild in the violence and gore. The wives storyline can be a slog but the missions of the week seem pretty authentic to an outsider.
Kelsey is almost CASEY from TMNT!😂
Tongue and the boot had me absolutely howling laughing
Fun fact. Former DevGru Operator Adam Brown jumped out of a car on a bridge into the water because of the movie Navy SEALs.
"Stop putting people on a pedestal" thats some humble "Quite Professional" s%^&! Of the Spec-Ops guys I have worked with, foreign or US thats why SF guys were the coolest bunch.
- Delta Force (with Chuck Norris)
- One Shot (with Scott Adkins)
That grenade story will never not be funny. Lol
"It's your choice kick or lick..."
"I PICKED WRONG! I PICKED SO WRONG!"
This was my favorite movie for awhile when I was a kid. I never heard that "case of beer" line and didn't even hear it during this clip until I skipped back to re-watch it again after Buck mentioned it. Thanks, Buck! That's really cool!
Kurt on camera and Abel talking shit in the background is the best. Lmo
Hey don’t hate on Michael Biehn!! He was phenomenal as Kyle Reese in Terminator 1, played Corporal Dwayne Hicks in Aliens, and Johnny Ringo in Tombstone- 3 absolutely amazing roles gentlemen!!
Enjoyed every minute of this. A lot of laughs but one or two deep moments too. Thanks for sharing.
Not many people in combat MOS's won't think highly of you guys.
But you're 100% about it not being in the cards,
might find yourself in front of a PEB, probably the hardest thing I have did in the ARMY.
Love your content.

With the Ninja Turtle talk you guys made me want a pizza! Had to stop the video to order a vegan pizza. Haha, now I'm back, on with the reactions!
Edit: and now thanks to you I'm also going to check who's April O'Neil later, after the pizza xD
VEGAN PIZZA? wut
@@mantis_toboggan_md Yeah, give it a go sometimes! Some are not so good but the good ones are just as tasty as a regular pizza and you don't feel like shit afterwards. Know that feeling after you eat a lot and you don't want to move for like an hour? Yeah you don't get that after a vegan pizza!
I ate like half an XL sized pizza and I feel great!
@@AntonAdelson as much as I like pizza and food, I cant do a vegan pizza. i need meat and bacon on it.
Everytime i met a Vegan, they never ever fail to mention they are vegan like the first 5 minutes you meet them. And then they get super preachy and push the vegan lifestyle onto other people. I hate that shit.
However, eat whatever you want. I like a Spinach and Artichoke pizza with alfredo sauce and chicken.
@@johnlove3461 I just like the health benefits. I feel better than when I was a kid!
ABSOLUTELY please do The Unit, and maybe Spartan, also.
Can confirm about the jeep at the beginning, I have an old 1975 and you absolutely have to rock your hand back and forth like that to keep her going straight.
They do that in animal kingdom. Sean Hatosy pulls a guy into their pool and holds them both(himself and the guy--who is his cousin) under, staring into his eyes, until the guy drowns
I'd pay to watch y'all break down "The Negotiator." Samuel J playing a cop knowing all the moves against SWAT
Hey guys, add Echo 3 from Apple TV to your Beers and Breakdown list! ❤ I’m a movie buff and I got a lot of family members in the military and special forces so of course I’m loving the breakdowns ❤😊
Just realized the dude that Charlie Sheen kissed in the bar is Titus Welliver, aka Harry Bosch from "Bosch".
The guy he was toasting in the bar who was on the TV would star in Major League with him
A training story: I spent a bunch of time sitting in a bunker returning training grenades. After a while, I got bored and started catching them and tossing them pack. What it also meant was I spent a lot of time watching people throw grenades while down range.
It gave me a different perspective on grenade use.
Really interested the fighting system. Hope to see more about it. Take my money.
38:28 Kurt's epic rookie screw up story is my personal favorite moment of this video!!! That is beyond hilarious! 😂😂😂
I don't like how at 18:38 he didn't confirm the threat was dead or incapacitate, he just stepped over him.
Please do a BAND of BROTHERS review!
There better be a part 2 to this film. 50 minutes isnt nearly enough.
I wish you guys were able to release one of these A-day I listen To them in my service truck You guys need to do a breakdown of the Cinemax series strike back But only the seasons with Sullivan Stapleton and Philip Winchester
I was a former Sgt in the corps and one of my dudes forgot his nvg mount on a night shoot and I demolished him. He never forgot again. As a boot I forgot my note taking gear on a hike so I couldn’t make a range card when we stopped. On the way back I had 3 50cal ammo cans and the 50 tripod the entire way back. Closest I ever came to passing out on a hike. I never forgot my stuff again. Pain retains.
This was the most entertaining Beers and Breakdowns yet!
"Well I have a refined palate for TV shows and you like trash "
"Hmm, that's fair"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love you guys!! You do an amazing job!! And please keep doing all of the generation kill
🙏👊
"We don't have a Dad so that's weird" LMMFAO holy chit I could not stop laughing 🤣🤣🤣
Guys, your humor is gold! 😂😂😂
Heysbert is also Pedro Cernao in major leagues
I can't remember if it was this movie or Attack Force Z that I first saw and fell in love with the MP5SD with that giant bull barrel looking suppressor with the 3 round burst.
In Attack Force Z, they are suppressed Grease Guns.
@@klextacy it is so weird to see a Google timestamp when you are looking up memories and the date is from a lifetime ago.
Dude, those stories were HI larious. And as a former comcam, any shots we can take of funny ass shit we will take so you guys have them.
The big red one
Think I first saw this film when I was about 10. Also the first film I watched with surround sound. Just hearing those casings rattle on the ground. Ahhhhh I need to watch it again
I wasn’t issued a suppressor on my first deployment but I was taught on the benefits of “muzzle thump”. First thing I get when arrived to Afghanistan and had an APO address was a great muzzle break with prongs on the ends. Served great on these kind of situations over that it was a great asset to suppress backblows and keeep my rifle on target with bust or full auto. But I had to want on the edge on the commander’s rug many times because of the prongs
28:00 Goat poop, Brother. It's all about the goat poop. And straw.
43:12 love the analysis 🤣
Great show as always gents; at first I thought abel f'd up the audio and realized you guys were censoring yourselves due to YT policy. Next time I'd recommend to take that advantage to add hilarious bleep sounds or burp sounds or some kind of replacement sound for the censorship; the opportunity is endless! Keep up the great work, looking forward to the next one!
Here is my Heysberr headcanon. He is born enlists in then80’s and makes it to a Seal team. After his career is done he changes his name and goes by the name Pedro Cerano helps the Clevland Indians win a pennent. Retires from baseball and enlists in the Army making it eventually to lead a Spec Ops team. Upon retiring again, he goes into politics and eventually President of the US. Truly the living American dream. After politics he decides to sell insurance.
You guys are f-ing hilarious, hope one day I can come drink a beer witcha!! Thanks for your service 🙏 to this great nation
ive got that tmnt video in vhs right next to me. my favorite for sure
I remember seeing the behind the scenes for this movie... Old school Navy Seals consulting on this movie... Realistic for tge time... Well some of it
Going to POAS soon! Been watching your videos for a while
Once in, never out! Dog Lab forever!
The Delta in blue shorts was not just playing with himself; as any good team medic would, he was reviewing the anatomy and physiology of the GU system to stay current.
You guys have all the cool gear! Until the introduction of the AR platform, we made do with WW2 and Korean “Police Action” gear.
I was a mechanic in the Air Force I remember joining the soccer and flag football teams for my unit. The same people I worked with I played with. We even played paintball together. The Alamo is my next suggestion.
Amazing start already…. Made me laugh guys. Thanks a lot :) ( and greetings from Thailand)
Glad you enjoyed it!
thank you for a vid today
Do Kilo Two Brazo next, highly under talked about film and an amazing depiction of the bond between soldiers
The Unit is a Fav.
"I'm pregnant.""We don't have a dad, that's weird..." Laughed so hard I had to pause the vid to recompose myself lol.
I haven't seen the clip yet but I KNOW it's going to be good!
CAG guy Jamey Caldwell used the “ we’re navy seals and we’re here to get you out” line when he rescued an Italian hostage in Iraq. 😂
This was a great episode!!!!
The Unit was dope
The unit was a fun show to watch
I saw this in the theater when it came out with my dad, and he picked it completely to pieces.
And I met Michael Biehn at a local Convenyion and he absolutely HATES discussing this movie so much that he has absolutely NO photos from this movie for autographs.
Totally cool guy in real life though.
Oh yeah, the dude in the red shirt in the bar was Titus Welliver.
Please do RONIN and HEAT 🙏🏼
For a long time I genuinely believed that this movie was almost a documentary as it included pretty much all of the "Cliche" things you read about in the few books that had been written about them at the time....
It's got Bill Paxton and Michael Bien in it who were also both in Tombstone and also both in Aliens. Good enough for me.
This beers n breakdowns is outta control😂😂😂
Let’s go!! Beers and breakdown on the OG TMNT movie!!!!
The afghans use an old school construction method that is straw and clay mud essentially the original reinforced concrete.
So yeah that's why you see pictures of afghan compounds that still have stuff standing after being hit by a jdam.
I'm pretty sure I watched every episode of beers and breakdowns and I've never heard that 'nade story! Wow! My heart almost stopped!
Edit: yeah he did mention the tree grenade. But not the Kobe Bryant one
