You are a freaking lifesaver, been trying to access my mineos files all day searching yt, and this video is the only one that helped me thank you soo much!
Glad it helped!
Yo I been struggling getting the mods to actually load on my server and you pointed out to make sure the version matched. I was using 59 but it was looking for 60. Thanks so much!
thank you, been trying to figure out how to run an old server file from mineos and before this video, iv been going through all sorts of methods like running mineos on docker(thought there could be some bug with mineos just running it off the system), i even moved the file to import, but i didn't compress the file, so that obviously didn't work. My head was hurting from trying to learn how to use docker and all this other bullshit
My MineOS server is actually not on a TrueNAS, but on a FreeBSD iocage jail, but still helped me a lot. :)
0:33 the service is actually called ssh, or OpenSSH, which is needed for SFTP :)
Very handy thank you :D
Can you add mods later with winscp if you use forge?
Hello man, I need some help, Do your know how to create a Custom ip instead of using the public ip on the same MineOs Turkey OS?
sorry, i uninstalled and haven’t touched this since i made the video
Is this for moving the server from a windows 10 based server to a MineOS? And are you just copying just the world folder or the entire thing?
Yeah! I think it’s just the world folder. It’s been awhile so idr
I'm unable to copy the actual world my buddies and I made. It just restarts a new world when copied. The permissions and server addresses are there. Just not the world. Any idea's?
@@patrickprafke4894 Sorry, it’s been awhile since I’ve hosted. Did you import after copying the files?
@@SomethingAzn yes. I imported after copying files. Still the same issue. Now I'm trying g to figure out how to delete the world folder from the server folder and replace it with the one I'm trying to keep. But, I'm running into unix permission issues. Good times.....
@@patrickprafke4894 I’m going to be honest with you, MineOS was nothing but trouble for me. I’d find something else while you’re not too deep in
Hello, great tutorial, i have a problem with it... when i go to profiles it says that "No Profiles Are Available; Check Internet Connectivity And Refresh The Profile List.", so it doesn't show anything, can you help me out with this? thanks,.
Sorry, I don’t use this anymore, but it sounds like your server is having trouble connecting to the internet, so maybe the problem is outside of MineOS
does the forge version of the profile have to be the same version as the imported server?
2:07 I think there are some exceptions where different versions are compatible but better to be safe
@@SomethingAzn ok, so my server is 43.1.7 and the server fails to boot. It's only on for a few seconds and the server log doesn't show up.
Update: in the server folder, there is also not "latest.log" or and kind of log folder.
@@benmagnus0858 43 for a version number seems awfully high. You might be looking at the wrong number
@@SomethingAzn I was just looking in my game menu
@@benmagnus0858 Check the filenames as shown in 2:07
One problem I'm having is the zip file not showing up in the MineOS WebUI
Did you drag it into the right folder? If it’s under /import/ it should show up automatically
@@SomethingAzn Something might be wrong with my WebUI then. Tried creating a new server and none of the buttons work at all or show anything
@@CrazyPigCarrots Yeah, that sounds like a bugged out ui alright
