In Hungary we have this style of pancake too, but my mother makes it with soda water instead of milk. Fav. topping: -nutella -cocoa powder(nesquick) -cottage cheese filling(mix the cottage cheese with one raw egg and some sugar, vanilla sugar) + I like to add some sour creme + sugar on the top of the rolled up pancake

Not sure if you have 'Magic eraser' sponges across the pond but here in the US they are a solid white sponge that can be used to wipe down surfaces without chemicals. It works wonders on my stove stains!

Although now the more modern flat top stove that I have is probably much closer to what you have than our prior electric stove tops. The other thing I really liked was your thin round skillet.. Cupcake pancakes are good to add rainbow sprinkles in the batter and make a butter cream glaze and put sprinkles on top and it is great i have it every friday for my cheat meal

Savoury pancakes are absolutely delicious! You just make a normal pancake, then cook up some mince, maybe with some tomato or curry powder in it, dollop it in the middle of your pancake, and roll it up. Nice with some sour cream too! Sometimes we use ready-made pancake mixes for a quick and easy meal. :)
I like strawberries, chocolate syrup and regular maple syrup on my (American) pancakes! The way that you made yours looked like a crepe, which is delicious as well!

I'm kind of late to the party, but has anyone given you any good suggestions for cleaning the hob? I don't know if you have them in the UK, but here in the US an amazing cleaning tool is the Magic Eraser from Mr. Clean. It's a sponge that you get a bit wet, and it seriously works wonders! And you do kind of have to use the name brand (I've used cheap off-brand "magic" sponges and they don't really work).
I am not sure if they are sold in your neck of the woods, but I use Mr. Clean Magic Erasers for almost everything. It will usually take all of the grit and grime off of my cook top when I make a mess, which is frequently. Love your videos by the way. You have a sweet and soothing voice, as well as a lot of personality. Thank you, and I hope you keep them coming.
Wow...looks wonderful! In USA we have the thicker ones, but I want to try your version. My kids always liked them with blueberries and then a blueberry compote you make by putting blueberries in a pan with small amount of water, lemon juice and some zest and just a spoonful of sugar. Boil this until berries burst then remove from heat and let cool. Top pancakes with blueberry sauce YUM!
With residue cooked/burned onto the enamel like that, it can be tough to remove, but a scouring sponge with a paste of water and sodium bicarbonate can remove it. Also, the whispering was as lovely as ever :)
I am with you. I always open eggs into a separate bowl. My mother raised chickens and we learned early on how a dish can be ruined because of a bad or partially developed egg. I prefer the thicker, American style pancakes with butter and real maple syrup. I will also slather on some peanut butter once in awhile, maybe add some sliced banana, or use some other fruit. As a child, when my mother would make them, she always made extras which we later ate cold as a snack. We would put some butter on them with a sprinkle of regular sugar, roll them up, and nom nom nom. :-)
I really enjoyed this video. Still kinda new to the ASMR community. Also you want to use Easy Off. I swear by it, it will remove anything just make sure you don't inhale it and you stand back as far as you can when you spray it. Leave it on for 30 minutes and you will be able to wipe off the residue. It's extremely potent I use it all the time to clean my oven and stove. Hope this helps Good luck!
Oven cleaner removes those stains around the burners. Heat up the elements, then turn them off and spray. Once they have cooled down you should have no problem scrubbing it off.

We call them 'lingon' and make either a cold mix of just those berries and sugar called 'rårörda lingon' or a type of jam where they are cooked with sugar called 'lingonsylt'.

What you make here is what I would have called a crepe--very thin and folded up around a filling. Is pancake synonymous with crepe in the UK?

Do you have cif cream clener ova there ? We have it here in Ireland and gleeson will def take that away. Leave the cream on it for half hour and scrub it off with scruber and it be gleming. Hope this helps ,love your videos x

It's funny about the oil. I remember coming across some videos about fluid dynamics by accident a few years ago and I found myself watching them over and over. Yet fluid dynamics doesn't really interest me, so what was the appeal? They were using things like vegetable oil in their demonstrations and there was no talking involved - only text on screen to explain what was happening - so I suppose it was the sound of the oil pouring that relaxed me and made me want to watch again and again. This was before I knew anything about ASMR.
I've just seen on our local news (wiltshire) that a town had to use sponges instead of pancakes for their pancake tossing competition, because health and safety said a pancake was too dangerous....!!!!!

I LOVE PANCAKES!!! I enjoy maple syrup on my pancakes sprinkled with cinnamon. I also like fruit syrups like boysenberry with whipped cream. YUM!!!

In Bulgaria we put little butter all over the pancake with a brush right aftar it is cooked, it makes it very soft and yammy :)
