Thank you. This is the best tutorial I have seen. No pointless chit chat, a perfectly clear close up view of the fingers/stitchwork, repetition so I can get the hang of it. Much better than those other videos out there!
This is not what I pictured, I was thinking it was going to be like whip stitching all around the hole like a machine does .. BUT .. for what I'm doing I don't want the hole to be to stiff, so this is great as it allows the fabric to move. Thankyouuuu☺️🙌
Huh! That little tip when you start to knot the starting thread!! So good .. I don't know HOW I never thought of that! I'm always umming & ahh-ing about starting & securing that thread without a lumpy knot. It's fine if you can't see the knot but on say a shirt .. especially if you want it to look good quality that's a great tip, Thankyou!! .. and now I shall watch the rest haha :) 🙏
@@maribethsanabria9001 what u have to do is after passing the thread from the needle u don't tie the end knot and when u pull the thread through the cloth, since the thread is doubled ull have a loop and a loose end so just go past that loop whilst keeping in mind the loose end doesn't come out of the needle. ....I don't know if I confused u more 🤣

HURRAY!! WONDERFUL!! You get 1000 out of 100 percent marks. Lady, whoever you are, you should get a medal for showing clearly how the thread should be looped over the needle as the needle is drawn tight and as it makes its next pass through the buttonhole. This is the most crucial step as this type of stitching is what gives the looks, style, and shape to fully define the all-around borderline of the buttonhole., i.e. the finished look. It is maddeningly mind-blowingly frustrating and downright utterly foolish stupid and sheer jackassishness the way others waste viewers time with (1) long-winded introductions (b) horrible background noises they call music ( which serves no purpose at all whatsoever) and pointing the camera at themselves and not at what, where and how their hands are doing the actual sewing. THIS IS THE BEST and should be the ONLY video of this kind. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
He doubles the thread, then runs it through the eye of the needle. So one end of the thread is open and the other is closed. In the first stitch, he pulls the needle out until he reaches the closed end of the thread. Just before pulling the thread all the way through, he runs the needle between the two layers of the thread (the closed end), then pulls it out and secures it. We do that with a single layer sometimes. We run a single layer of thread through the eye of the needle, tie a knot at one end, and leave the other end open. Throughout the work, one end is secure (the knotted one), while the other remains short and keeps going in and out of the fabric.
My tailor wanted $45 for each button hole my bespoke tailor missed and exaggerated how much work it was hand sewing each button, ill just do it at home lmao.
Lol turn it down to about 0.5 or 1 seconds slower, and mute it and VUALA we have a quick masterpiece that doesn't give me anxiety to listen to and try to keep up with hahahahaah
No frill, music, nothing. Like a real lesson. Thank you!
I have spent ages looking for a clear tutorial for this stitch and so glad I found yours as it’s very clear.
Very helpful and straight to the point! I love that I hate having to watch a 5 minute entro lol
I realize it's kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good site to stream new movies online?

can you please explain how you threaded a needle without tying a knot? i am bewildered.

In the first stitch, he pulls the needle out until he reaches the closed end of the thread. Oh thats....so simple....wow
