I will watch this many time b4 I return to Bolsa, u saw at least 10 birds I have not I’d. The rail was ultra cool, there are artificial nest sites the volunteers have created for them at the Naval Weapons Station a bit north of there. Where 2 next?
Thanks for the question! I went with the Lesser because I thought the head was taller with the tuft at the corner. Also with the heavier barring on the back. What do you think?
This is a great video, specifically when you identified the bird names in the footage. Thxs
Thanks for your feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful and nice vlog
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing. I saw a Ridgway's rail in the open the one and only time I was there this Summer. So maybe it's not as rare.
Thanks for watching. Yes good point on the Ridgway's.
love your video dude. i'm so going there next weekend
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it!
Looks like a good birding hotspot, lot's of birds there.
It was awesome!
At least 12 I would have missed. I only have 8power binoculars, very educational👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!

I have a couple videos I'm working on now. Next one will be a park in La Jolla. Thanks for watching!
Nice vid, taken in the OC near where I grew up. Use a dead cat on that mic to defeat the wind noise.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the tip on the mic cover to help with the wind noise.
And what made you go with the Lesser scaup ID?

@@TheBirdingVoyage think you did fine. It’s just hard sometimes figuring it out.
It is really nice to join birders when they are making such birding trips ! Thanks a lot ! I subscribed. ...you could do so, too..)
are you sure reddish egret is rare for bolsa chica? its the only place ive seen one.
I meant that it's rare for the area. But you're right it is commonly seen at Bolsa Chica. Thanks for watching!
Do a voiceover instead
Thanks for the suggestion! I learned to do voice over after this video :)
