  • A mother, Kristy Sherley, shares their story of losing her 20-year-old daughter to fentanyl. Illicit fentanyl is a dangerous, life-threatening drug frequently found in other illicit drugs and results in the death of 200 people per day in the US. This is just one of those stories and delivers an urgent warning to avoid all illicit drugs.

      it's no longer, just a disease, of addiction. the drugs are being laced and not tested. no one stands a chance to any street drugs not tested and even tested can be a deadly dose. people young and old have been tricked into buying cheaper "prescription drugs" drugs that look identical to their normal pills and it's deadly. now, this baby will need to overcome addiction without being an active addict. rip, xoxo

    All stories from this channel influence me in one way or another. I am taking the time to thank you for your transparency in explaining the short life of your daughter. The way you spoke, the tone of your voice just triggered feelings deep inside. Especially since I worked in the Intensive Care Neonatal Nursery in a city. We didn't see many addicted infants, but if a premie or full term baby tested positive for certain drugs, there was protocol to follow.
    Since I admire your honesty I must admit that I had a problem with a substance. This was back in the early 1980's. I won't go into further detail but I can say no baby was injured by me. I had problems when I left that job years later. Thanks again Grandmom. I know both of our messages are important. Love and peace to you and your family. ❤

Your message is heard loud and clear. 😢❤ I am 50 with a 12 and 15 yo daughter, and these documentaries have impacted me so much to hear from the loved ones who have lost someone or had to struggle with drug addiction. I began having conversations during the pandemic about fentanyl and will continue to have serious dialogue on a regular about all drug use including weed, alcohol and cigarettes which are "legal" drugs for ADULTS in most states and the fatal risks of fentanyl which is being laced in everything today. Kids are even experimenting with excess doses of aspirin and ibuprofen at school. Please continue to produce and publish these cases. They aren't just stories... These are people's lives.

    My daughter was on heroin due to being prescribed pain pills. My daughter suffers from a hip condition and needs a hip replacement she was diagnosed when she was 18 months and started running. She has lived in pain her entire life. She still has not had a hip replacement because they want to wait as long as possible she's in her early thirties. This breaks my heart watching these videos but I do it to remember what my daughter went through. I watched her turn gray with shallow breathing multiple times seeing her almost dead. She has been sober for 2 years now after getting on methadone. She has been off methadone for over a year I am so proud of her. I hope everybody gets off and gets help from this drug it is horrible there is nothing worse.

      I rest my case all that has been done is switching from one drug to another which begs the case why she was not given heroin? Legalize all drugs and have the US government dispense the drug.

    • @johnmccarthy7195
      @johnmccarthy7195 4 месяца назад

      if she has proper pain management she would never get addicted. Take a burn patient with third degree burns over 50 % of the body. This poor bastard is going to get gallons of morphine over the course of several years and when he leaves he will experience no withdrawal issues because the medicine and the pain are balanced. plus methadone is another very powerful drug why not just give this lady what ever drug she needed.

    So many young people adding from these drugs. It’s so sad. So sad for these young children, having children and then the grandparents raising their grandchildren because of the irresponsibility of the children having children. You are correct, it doesn’t matter your upbringing, your social economic background. Good parents or parents not being around. I have a brother who has been addicted to crack for so many years. He once was in College. The College expelled him for his actions on Campus. He did eventually marry & has 2 sons. One was born with feral alcohol syndrome and still suffers today at the age of 23. His other son was killed by a roommate in Colorado a few years ago as they were both under the influence of something. Either way, the shooter got away with murder of my nephew. NO PRISON TIME SERVED !! I don’t see that side of my family, they have moved to different states, I do miss them, but I am happy to say, my children are substance free & hopefully my Grandchildren will also be lucky enough to stay away from them as well. I pray for those addicted & for the parents & Grandparents with making tough decisions for all involved. Keep fighting the fight. There is Hope.

      All drugs affect people differently. I am a stone cold alcoholic how it affected me was different from most others. I realized that I could never drink booze and know where I would end up. I quit because my core values and my actions were not in sink. My actions were not acceptable to me. This May I will not had a drink in 40 years.During those years there were years where I did not smoke drink soda or coffee and exercised intensely (another habit) I smoked a lot of crack & meth along with heroin and I made a decent amount of money, far more that the general public. I did not commit crimes have never been to prison.never had a house or car repoed .Spent many days in discomfort with drawing from different opiate. So to make the blanket statement if you do crack or meth or heroin you will wake up in hell is silly and I am proof. I entered this conversation to help out by showing its the probation of the drugs. They were all made illegal for basically racist ideas. Here we are today . So how is this working for society?

    😢 I'm so sorry. They always say, "don't take it personally, it's not them but the disease " THEM, referring to the one who is in active addiction. Drug addiction is hard. And, it's even harder on the parents/spouse/family member that wants to help in any way. Than, when you bring another life into this world, all anyone who is not an addict wants to do is help, and they realize can't. If having a baby, new baby to this world doesn't compel him/her to quit. Get help for themselves......it's truly a painful.

    Just heartbreaking all around. Side note - wish the *episode **#s** were highlighted* just below the title - as a reminder of all the damage done (rather than subscripted, below).

      Interesting idea. We've also thought of adding episode #s to the description, near the top somewhere.

    Defund the police they said… there’s not enough resources to solve this lie. Countries that produce these drugs or components of, should have embargo’s. This is too much to ignore.

    You are so brave telling her, and your story. Thank Jesus you are there for that precious baby, just like you were for her Moma. I watch these stories and pray for my kids, and other kids who might be struggling. We just have to love them and pray. I don't doubt Cheyenne's life was ment for nothing, and that for her short time here God used her.... Who knows what that little girl of her's might do one day!

    Please pray for my daughter Hollyann, her child was born at 24weeks and has made it to a yr. Old. She was born addicted and Hollyann is now in jail. DEFAC is holding it against me I feel like and has placed my granddaughter with a foster family. My past and present is clean, but I have adopted 2 other grandkids of mine and if I don't get the baby, I'll b forever heartbroken! I believe I will also lose my daughter Hollyann because she WON'T b able to deal with it and the drugs will b her go to for the pain of losing Bella, her precious daughter. GOD bless this little girl and comfort the grandparents.

    At the outset, my heart crumbled seeing Cheyenne smiling with her daughter who is gazing into her eyes. I, too, would love to know what police are actually doing regarding the dealers peddling fentanyl. Surely, they're not invisible.
    May Stella have the healthiest life and thrive in every way. ❤

    “Laced” means something’s been added.
    So, laced-percocets mean LACED WITH FENTANYL

    • @TexasPictures
      @TexasPictures  4 месяца назад +5

      Correct, laced means "added", implying that fentanyl was added to a genuine Percocet, which is never the case. Counterfeit Percocets are manufactured illicitly and usually contain no oxycodone hydrochloride or acetaminophen, which are the ingredients found in genuine Percocets.

    I’ve been seeing sorry for your loss, so sad for the last four years, what does this channel do to stop the flood of poison fentanyl flooding across the border , nothing about current White House in power, White House opened 100 gates along the wall , not all comes in vehicles

    • @KohalaLover
      @KohalaLover 2 месяца назад

      You expect the government to educate youth about drugs. It starts at home. People like you should know that but you prefer to blame the White House. Most fentanyl comes from China, not Mexico. Rump won’t do a damn thing differently than Biden.
