    Guuurl Yes
    I was working so hard on my skin routine and it was getting so much better and then one day I woke up and I went from baby soft skin to rough bump in irritated
    I realise I was getting overzealous with other serums, creams,
    Overly hot showers over exfoliating and using exfoliating cleansers
    I thought I was doing the best for my skin and it had such a negative reaction
    You really hit the nail on the head

    • @raziamoe
      @raziamoe  3 года назад +1

      Oh yess the impact of all that unnecessary exfoliation just comes out of nowhere! Was a big wake up call for me.

    I find your voice so relaxing and your tips super practical. It's so hard to find others who have dry skin and acne. It's usually oily! Love your channel! ❤ Question: I use the Cerave SA cream nightly. Is that as bad as using a SA cleanser?? Still trying to get my adult acne under control 🙃 And deffo using the shower mask idea!

    • @raziamoe
      @raziamoe  3 года назад

      Oh thank you! Yes its a rare combo to have for sure, definitely makes it harder to find suitable products haha.
      No I dont think using that cream daily is an issue. It has a lesser concentration of SA and its formulated with other hydrating nourishing ingredients so that makes a big difference.
      Oh adult acne can be so difficult! I hope it gets better for you soon xx

    Thanks so much for this! I've noticed the skin around the corner of my inner eyes has been come flaky (not irritated).... not sure why... could be the caffeine serum (I need help with bags and discoloration!) or maybe the Argireline ... not sure ... it's been bugging me for a while. I've tried facial oil and did a bit to help. Will def check out those balms! x

    Thanks for sharing! It's so easy to get carried away... I also have dry skin + some pimples in some areas, and I live in Sydney as well. I've been using the QV intensive as a face cream (I know it's more of a body product, but it's all about the ingredients right), it was all fine for a couple of months, but recently started feeling a tingle every time I put it on, I have a feeling I'm sensitive to niacinamide, as I've had some irritation/dryness with some niacinamide serum before. Can't say for sure. Might have to go back to the CeraVe cream, and maybe try one of those healing balms. I wonder if the QV ointment is any good?

    • @raziamoe
      @raziamoe  3 года назад

      Hey! Ohh I've wanted to try that QV line. Ah yes could be the case! I recently bought the ointment and I like it so far. Its basically like applying vaseline it just has some extra nice ingredients thrown in.
      It feels nice to apply on those extra dry area for sure.

      Hi Lily…I’m very dry sensitive and reactive, I use the QV FACE range, this is under dermatologist advise, have a look at the Rescue Gel and Ultra Calming Moisturiser, I also use the Gentle Cleanser, my skin was so dehydrated and my skin barrier destroyed from using expensive anti ageing products, and I had atopic dermatitis, these products have literally saved my skin. I use the QV Gentle Wash and QV Cream on my body and hands, these have been amazing BUT if I use the cream in my face it stings for several minutes, my skin is still dry but it’s no longer a mess, in fact it’s nice and dewy. I also use SPF 50 every single day, I awaiting my review to see if my derm is happy for my retinol journey to start over slowly…hope this hopes 😀 I do use the Intensive Ointment on my lips and hands under cotton gloves at night (I’m a theatre nurse…..so you can imagine my hands) it really works.

    Thank you for this video! I’ve been in the same boat recently but it’s all so confusing. I’ve never had a lot of breakouts, I started getting a few here and there so exfoliated a lot and now I have even more break outs that looks like acne. Do you know if a damaged skin barrier can cause acne/spots and if it will go away once I heal my barrier please?

    If I have normal - oily acne prone skin (with very stubborn dark acne marks) how many times a week should I use the Cerave SA cleanser?
    Currently I use the Paulas’s choice SA twice a week, and the Ordinary’s Lactic Acid 10% once a week.
    Thanks for producing such great Australian based content!
    P.S. I used your chemist warehouse affiliate link to buy the SA cleanser ☺️

    • @raziamoe
      @raziamoe  3 года назад +2

      Thanks so much for using my link!! Around 2 no more than 3 times a week should be good, especially since you're already using other exfoliants. Just make sure not to over use to avoid any chance of irritation. Hope this helps! ☺️

    How long did it take for your skin to repair completely??
    I’m a teen and I completely ruined my perfectly fine skin with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide, it burned my skin and darkened it. It’s been three months and my skin tone is a lot darker than my hands and neck and that’s not normal. I am so frustrated and I can’t go to a derm. I also had the eye swelling in the beginning btw.

    • @raziamoe
      @raziamoe  3 года назад +2

      It takes at least a month for your skin to turnover so for me that's the minimum amount of time I give to see how my skin is healing.
      I'm so sorry to hear about your experience! If you're not able to go to dermatologist, are you able to see a GP?
      Wear sunscreen daily, sticking with gentle skincare products and patience. And with time your skin should return to normal. If you notice any other issues then I'd consider seeing a doctor as well. You're young, your skin is healthy and with time it will recover and return to normal. I did horrible things to my skin as well when I was younger (some even left scars) and thankfully with time they all faded. Hopefully that can offer some small reassurance to you. All the best xx

    Thankyou for this amazing video Razia !! I was just wondering if you remember how long it took to see a reduction in redness ? I know it can take 1 to 2 months to heal skins barrier depending on the level of damage but after 5 days I'm not seeing any minor improvements,my skin looks the same as when i started and I'm wondering if this is normal ?

    • @raziamoe
      @raziamoe  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching! Please excuse the late reply! I hope your skin is doing better now. Yes when the skin is healing in my experience it does take time. Similar to what you described it takes at least 1-2 weeks before seeing even minor improvements. So my best advice is to just stay patient with it and it'll improve. As long as its not getting worse thats the main thing haha.

    Waitttt so a cleaner isn’t meant to make ur skin feel tight after cleansing?

    • @raziamoe
      @raziamoe  3 года назад +1

      Nooo not really haha. If you have dry skin as I do, then its normal for your face to feel slightly dry after cleansing but it shouldn't feel uncomfortably tight. That real tight feeling comes about because now the skin is too dry and has been reallyyy stripped clean. Best to avoid drying the skin out too much by using cleansers that give this feeling, especially if you have dry skin as it is. Hope that make sense😅
