Don't have a snowblower...just here to say what's up. I do a mix of empty and stabilizer in my equipment for winter. Just depends on the machine. Good info here.
You are so lucky to not have to plow! The content isn't new, but if I can prevent just one person from using a bolt instead of a shear pin and killing their snowblower, it will be worth it. I'm a fuel stabilizer devotee.
Second method does not work to well. I have had to send my snowblower into the shop twice because of bad gas, after adding sta-bil. They told me to run out the gas and add some gas they sell that lasts up to 3 years. Doesn't make much sense to me. How can they have that type of gas??
How do you prepare your equipment for storage? Run your outdoor power equipment dry before storing, or do you add fuel stabilizer?

Could be non-ethanol...but I doubt 3 years is true. If you run it out of gas, then don't add any more for storage, that method works well.
