Is 26.5 lbs with fuel or without ?
I believe it's dry weight.
I’m about a dozen tanks through mine now. It’s definitely crazy on power coming from a 8550. Only complaints so far is straps I feel they cheaped out on. They are always getting twisted putting it on and the throttle seems touchy and sometimes unless at full rpm seems like it has slight hesitation holding a lower power position.
I'm about 6 with no issues so far...
413 shoutout Umass turf grad 1998 Golf course builder/pga lpga tournament prep experience. Lawn looks good
What is your definition of spoon feeding? You just applied approximately .5lbs of N
Lol, ladles are considered spoons.
Very nice 413 shout out.gotta keep it clean ,remove.all.them leaves😂
Now they have one that even comes with a knock off expensive magnetic balancer for $66
I know!!! Now I feel ripped off buying just the sharpener at $60.
Wow I shop at valley Green in Holyoke also Jeremy Brown is one of the most knowledgeable turf guys in the industry but I don't get my fall high nitrogen fertilizer there because I prefer Imodium sulfate and they do not carry it in granular form.. Lowe's in Hadley for that
Yes! Valley Green is great, hopefully they don't change too much during the transition. Bought many supplies from Holyoke and Charlton. Lowe's in Hadley is having a deal on fertilizer, some of the bags are on clearance...not worth it just yet but if they drop another clearance level like they usually do, it will be worth it then! Hadley Lowe's usually has the better selection out of any big box store.
My 9010 has run great since day one (more than a year). Unless something changes, dont see switching up. It is pretty though. More refined lines than Echo.
Probably not much of an upgrade from 9010 to ebz9000.
@@TurfandStemis it a noticeable difference in leaf push?
Great for endless cuts with creaky fingers. Has saved us time and more cleaning up Hurricane debris. Curious about blade replacement reported issues. QUESTION: Any thoughts on sharpening? Thx for review.
Thanks! I just sharpen like I do regular shears with a honning tool.
to the redmax 9000 owners like myself all of them either bog from going low to medium power or stall i talked to dealer he said yes that is a common issue he said the computer carb isn't sure if your going to low power or higher power so the computer chip gets confused on what you want for power and he said nothing you can do for it. He said he talked to the rep for redmax and they know about it and said nothing can be done. Wish I didn't sell off my echo 9010s
I reached out to Husqvarna to try to get an official answer. I haven't had any issues with mine so far.
That’s actually stupid, if they’ve been actually testing them they would’ve came across the issue too, but instead they put them on the market to sell not knowing how to fix the issue, I mean come on basically $900 after tax I expected it to run extremely well for a couple years no problems, but instead 3 weeks later and at 29 hours I’m having these issues on mine as well. I actually couldn’t get mine to run at all for 2 days finally got it to actually work this past week, and luckily when it was down the 2 days my 2 and a half year old echo 9010 stepped in
@@ernieharlin8263 yea my dealer thinks that is why husky didn't put their out yet because he figures that they are trying to see if issues they do have a soft tube that compacts in but when running the tube goes back full. I wish they would take care of stuff no wonder why so many have dropped selling redmax
@ yea hopefully the figure that out, I can deal with tube kinking as long as it last, but the autotune carburetor needs a lot more work
@@ernieharlin8263 100 percent agree with you
Mine runs so poorly, it’s new and I am very disappointed. Powerful when running properly, no question. Starts right up, but transitions from high to low power or low to high very rough, and today it stalled.
What part of the country? At altitude?
@ NJ
Cause it’s a piece of junk stick with the echo 9010 better quality
I highly recommend always using the correct fuel-oil mixture, as it’s crucial for the performance of your RedMax EBZ9000. Avoid pre-mixed fuel cans, as they may not meet the specific needs of your machine. Ideally, use alkylate fuel, like the orange containers from Stihl or Husqvarna's fuel. Even better, go for the grey jugs from Stihl or another alkylate fuel and mix it with high-quality oil from Echo, Husqvarna, or, for the best results, Amsoil's Saber oil. Check the carb for any leaks too / seals. Check and / or clean the sprak plug too. Good luck.
Did you buy it from a licensed dealer? It might have the idle screw out of adjustment. Also where I’m at I live at 6,500 feet in altitude so sometimes the carbs aren’t adjusted to the higher elevation. Something to consider.
Yes he never say nothing about run time because sucks .. Yess I have the strongest leaf blower but last5 minutes (sarcastic)
This is actually the strongest! ruclips.net/video/OCexjTLw2FY/видео.html
I use this in my business I replaced my echo pb9010t. The redmax ebz9000 is the best I love it
@@Provenblueprint ok thanks I'm going to take it back in let them plug it up to try in see if they can fix it
Is is a noticeable difference in pushing leaves?
@@3r8mo not really to me they are really close in moving leaves.but to me it's about the comfortability doing it that's why I like the 9000 it does have a little more power but not that much noticeable.so if you have a 9010 or thinking about getting one over the other.i will say the 9010 is the winner for the power to dollar ratio.but if you don't care about the money then the 9000 is a better filling machine when using for awhile.
@@3r8mo huge difference
Did you notice a hesitation when you first start up and you try to use it it seems like it hesitate to kick up I think something might be wrong with mine
Haven't noticed it yet but my old Husqvarna took a little while to get warmed up. Wonder if it's the auto choke?
@TurfandStem maybe I'm going to take mine back to have them look at it
@@henrythompson5624 Could be a carb adjustment. What's your altitude?
No the same thing happens to me, wait for it to warm up for 2-3 min- when you first start blowing just go full throttle for a few seconds then again for a few seconds it warms up all the way and runs fine
@jimmyf1312 yes this is my problem I think that should happen the first time of the day it get that but if I like it sit for only 15 minutes it's does that same thing like it needs to warm up
Enhulk 930 cfm 200 mph is top
Wonder what the newtons are. How reliable are those stats?
How much 46-0-0 would you recommend applying? 1lb per 1000
Little by little. I would do several smaller apps over the next several weeks rather than 1 big 1. 46% can burn the grass, so take it easy and apply lightly!
@@TurfandStem Only problem is it's been pretty dry in the Mid Atlantic past few weeks
Absolutely outstanding video! Very informative and extremely well presented!
Thanks!!! Hope it helped.
So you put the 17-3-2 four weeks after seeding? And you applied starter fertilizer when you seeded correct? Then in another 4 weeks you will apply what? Thanks
Tremendous vid
Thank you!!!
You never tried United seeds company?
Not yet, if I do a renovation I'll look into other companies, but since my last reno used JG, I'll stick with them for the near future.
As you know we had a pretty warm fall here in Iowa and overseeding in September would of just lead to dead dry grass seed. Now that it's starting to cool off, If I plant grass seed and get it germinated and coming up about and inch, will it make it thru the winter or is it just a waste of time and money?
Any frosts in the future? When do you historically get the first frost? You'll want it sprouted at least 4 weeks before
Thank you
Welcome!
Nice I didn't know u was in holyoke. Springfield checking in
Palmer, actually, but I sometimes go to VG in Holyoke. 413!!!
Hello. What will be the rule when temperatures are measured in Celsius?
Not sure, unfortunately I'm only familiar with fahrenheit calculations, sorry!
Top dressing is not necessary, dethatching is however.
If you do anything....dethatch!
@@TurfandStem Yes, Sir! There is no arguing this.
Nice Holyoke ma shoutout
Crazy how natural rain makes everything go!!
We FINALLY got a drizzle last night... I would have just stuck to pre-m this year if I had known!
Absolutely right I used Jonathan green‘s original seeds September 20 on a Friday laid my seed down watered three times a day September 24 we had rain about 3 inches on September 25 ,5 days In I had baby grass coming up
How do you clean your equipment after applying propicanazole 14.3?
I just do a triple rinse with water, never had an issue.
@@TurfandStem when you rinse where do you pour the water, just on the lawn?
@@richd1054 I usually do it on a mulched area.
@@TurfandStem Thanks
@@TurfandStem ❤️
Why do u need a starter fertilizer? To me that’s a myth. Unless ur existing grass is showing some deficiency there is zero need to add P and K. There is no peer reviewed study to show starter fertilizer is required
Yes, you don't NEED starter fertilizer, just a low nitrogen fert should be sufficient. It's an opportunity to put down some P and K though.
I would love to see the success rate of the people commenting and praising this video. Following these instructions will lead to a 30% germination rate, if their lucky. The majority of people looking to overseed their lawns have crappy, unhealthy, extremely compacted soil. The video has some good information, but is falsely leading people to believe that they dont need to put in the extra work.
You're definitely not going to love my next video later this week!!!
@TurfandStem haha, all good. Most people are going to seek out what they want to hear anyways, might as well give it to them. It took me a few attempts to learn my lesson.
Great video, your yard looks fantastic I don’t know if you have tried this method. Have you tried to cut 2-3 times a week, dropping down 1-2 notches each time you mow. Your grass will stay green longer without stressing it out. You can still cut it down to 1 1/2 inches it just takes a week or so longer also depends on when you start. Also you can used a natural weed killer, 30% vinegar wish dish soap to help it stick to the weed. Also what state do you live in? Cause that makes a difference on grass seed. Thanks
I usually do, but I didn't really care about stressing it out this time since I was doing a heavy overseed with the new Sodmaker seed. If the existing grass didn't make it, I was ok with it. But yes, you should step down the height over a period of time! I like the idea of home weed killers, I'm just always worried about the effect to the soil. I'm in Western Massachusetts, unfortunately we've also been having a drought for the last 5 weeks...thankfully I have in-ground irrigation or my overseeding probably would have failed!
Did you make sure to press the button to be in the more powerful mode just curious because to me it seems like it’s still in the lower power mode.
I don't think it gives more power, but just allows thinner or thicker cuts. I usually just keep it on the largest by default.
How is a 2 minute review 5:58?
It's more of an aspiration than a strict time limit.
How about Oregon vs Knockoff vs Nothing? I learned I can do the exact same thing with a single 6 penny brad nail sticking out of the wall. Total cost .10 cents.
I've used a nail for many years. The balancers will be more accurate, but a nail can and will do the job.
Have you ever had Bent grass issues??? Its ugly!!
Yup, and orchard grass, and poa triv, and poa annua....the list goes on. We'll never get rid of it all, it's more about maintenance.
So after two application of tenacity bentgrass is dying should I pull out of just rake hard and reseed? Plus going forward will need to apply what to avoid getting bentgrass back @@TurfandStem
@@brodygoalielawnphix.com/lawn-care/creeping-bentgrass/
I believe I am.going to use round up/ glysofate. Kill entire 4400 sqft I have in the backyard . Then scalp? Then dethatch? Then loam to level out this area? Then seed and starter fertilizer? Pls advise. Thanks @@TurfandStem
How about slice seeding on an established lawn ? Good idea or not needed?
Certainly won't hurt. It's an added bonus to get the seed deep in there and rough up the top a bit. If you have the time, effort and money, I'd say go for it.
It will make sense to you when you are 75 and suffering arthritis in the hands . I use the brushless Ryobi a cheap brand but it's really handy and has a 6 year replacement guarantee . The batteries from my other Ryobi garden tools fit straight in . I have to cut up about 1000 palm fronds each year so it take so much strain off the hands . Seasoned dowel is harder and drier so much harder to cut .
Totally, if you have arthritis and have to cut 1,000 fronds, this is the tool for you!
Should be green wood, not a dried wood dowel.
Yes, I tried it in the real world as well, similar results.
The best video I have watched for over seeding.
Thank you!!! Glad it helped!
Put this up against the Echo 9010 or the Stihl Br800 and it won't stand a snowball's chance next to the equator
Yeah, it's not on par yet with the larger, gas backpacks. But for a handheld battery, it's really, really great for those tasks that you don't want to lug them out.
@@TurfandStem The Ego dual battery backpack is supposed to be close.... still not as powerful, but more inline with a larger backpack
Impressive lawn and great video. Subscribing...Thank you
Thanks!!! Planning on some new stuff for next season!
I was going to do a tenasity hit, after plugs are raked up and top dressing.
Make sure to seed at the same time, Tenacity can harm new seedlings if not applied at the correct time!
Thankyou for your info
It doesn't make sense for the average homeowner. I bought one because I have hundreds of fruit trees to prune every year.
Exactly! Good tool that does the job...just way too expensive for the average homeowner.
Great video. Beautiful lawns. Here in England,we have near perfect conditions in the spring and autumn for germinating, we top dress mainly to stop the birds eating the seeds.
Have you ever tried the pinwheel trick of keeping birds away.
I got dollar spot all summer on empire zoysia. The yard is kind of on a plateau with excellent drainage.
Dont know much about zoysia. It doesn't take a lot of moisture for fungus to pop up unfortunately.
280 bucks for that? Nope. This is why China is laughing, because we're greedy and charge too much for simple stuff.
How is 2.5 acres in sq feet Google gives me like 108,900 sqft
My lawn is around 26,000. My property is around 2.5 acres.
I will be overseeding when temps get cooler. After adding the seeds did you rake it in or some other process to make sure of seed to soil contact?
You can, it certainly wont hurt, especially if you're seeding over dirt or bare ground. If it's on grass, the seed will work it's way down thanks to gravity.
