I'm a 75 yo, so I like to take some shortcuts. One was today, when I cranked up my gas/oil mixture leaf blower to clear of 3.5" of snow off and from around my new truck. I took less than a minute. What a nice job too. it saving me from manually brushing off the truck. But now, I want a powerful battery operated leaf blower to throw in the back of my truck in the winter months to do that job wherever the need arises.
Thanks, trying my best to find new stuff! Gotta keep it fun. The blower had a really surprising kick to it that I wasn't expecting, I'm still in the pro-gas category, but man, it is getting CLOSE!
I had a gas Husqvarna blower that I used for regular clean-up around the house, then bought a 570BTS (kind of wish I had gotten the 580) back in 2019 when we got our new house with ¾-ac of leaves to clean up. The handheld started giving me grief every time I took it off the wall, so I swapped it for the 765cfm EGO blower. The EGO has more power than the Husky handheld, and is super convenient to grab and go for normal clean-up. My wife will even grab and run it. I get about 45min to 1hr of run time on full power (not boost) before charging. I'll get 15min out of a full charge with straight boost mode. When the battery gets low, I put it on the charger and it's back to 100% in ~40min--the time it takes me to mow and trim the yard. These blowers definitely have their place. It's just not on hard jobs or extended-run applications....yet.
I LOVE my 580BTS. I don't think the 570 is too different. I also love these new battery blowers, not having to maintain them, strap them on the back and smell like gas just for a small, quick job is awesome. In 3 - 5 years, I can see them surpassing gas.
That's good to hear. As a professional gardener I've just ordered an Ego 765 with 2x 5ah batteries. Already have 2x 2.5ah batteries and will get a power bank for my work van.
800 cfm is awsome. Kress made an 850cfm. Which Is pretty cool. We still need a 1100 cfm handheld I think that would be nice for cleaning gravel and snow off of concrete
Agreed, I think we'll get 1000 + cfm in the next couple of years. When battery blowers can equal the output of my gas 580 bts...I will be a battery convert.
I have one of these...it's unreal. The first time I used it, I thought it was going to launch out of my hand due to the torque it has....if you use one....hold on to it!!
The Ego is close to it and does a mighty fine job and Kress has a 850cfm 190mph 60v hand held blower for sale in the US too. Its nice but its variable speed by a dial and whatever the dial is set to is the only speed the trigger works unless you hit the turbo button. Kind of highly annoying after using my ego 765
Never really heard much from Kress before, but it looks like they got some good stuff coming out. My area is a little light on dealerships unfortunately.
@@TurfandStem the Do It Best hardware where I'm at started carrying them about a month ago. I picked up the carbon fiber 16" string trimmer, 18" chainsaw, 850cfm blower and the self propelled push mower. Returned the blower cause the control system just aggravated but the rest of the stuff I have thoroughly enjoyed using and battery life seems great so far. Still love my ego stuff but the kress is definitely nice.
I was sold on Husqvarna from my last job. Was gonna buy the previous model that had a higher cfm then the one I used at work. Now I check up on Husqvarna and sure enough they made a newer model with way more power. Like I was with the previous model. Probably get the bare bones tool only and get a better battery. 😜
Yeah, I think you're talking about the 230ib. The bli22 battery is compatible, but has slightly less output than the bli30 battery. Not sure if it's really worth the upgrade.
I have this blower its got more power then most back pack plowers.. the cfm are in the housing not the pipe.. this thing is straight to the pipe.. its not comfortable on the hands. I can do one job on full power one battery... it has handled on the sides for 2 hands
Yeah, I agree that with the power, it can get uncomfortable. I think they found the limit on how powerful hand blowers should be, if the power is going to increase, they're going to need to put the weight of the battery somewhere else. Thanks for pointing out the handles on the side, I totally missed that! I just assumed it was one hand operation.
Totally! Definitely one of the best...gas or battery. My only wish was Husqvarna had more of an ecosystem for their battery platform. They put out a lot of power, would love to have them in an edge redefiner, or a bunch in an electric 52" garden tractor.
Maybe tropical storm??? My 580BTS is a bit more powerful, but this is so much easier on a day to day basis. My Milwaukee blower is probably "mouse coughing".
Na I used this it’s only 36 volts and I have an echo pb 2620 and the 2620 has more power and the connection on the battery is fine and heavy duty no need to be concerned about it
@@TurfandStem I don’t think it’s similar for I have echo and that battery one I know what I feel when I use them, the only thing I like about the battery is no air comes out when the trigger isn’t pressed
Yeah, it's not on par yet with the larger, gas backpacks. But for a handheld battery, it's really, really great for those tasks that you don't want to lug them out.
not a single mention of runtime and the confession that when it's time to actually remove leaves in the fall you would go to your gas powered so really what's the point.
I have 2.5 acres abutting woods, so I need the extra power/runtime of the 580BTS. I'm going to use the backpack blower on long, heavy duty jobs...the battery powered blower on only small, medium and short heavy jobs.
I'm with you on the pro-gas side...for now. But even I, who loves their gas OPE, has to admit the gap is starting to close. There are two benchmarks when I know battery has overtaken gas. 1. When there is a battery powered bed redefiner. That takes a lot of power and I don't think battery is there quite yet. 2. When there is a battery leaf blower that can compete with, and replace, my 580 BFS...which is over 1,000 cfm and 220 mph. The 350iB is about 80% there, both from feel and the specifications. It has a real kick to it. Yes, I'll still use my gas backpack for the larger jobs that require more run time...but that may only come once or twice a year now.
Hmmm . No ah stats on battery to determine wattage… 200 mph on the 800 cfm nozzle ? Is there a smaller diameter nozzle that increases air speed but looses cfm . Run time? Variable speed trigger? Wow not much info
Thanks, I try to keep my reviews to around 2 minutes and get to the things that you usually can't find in the product description on the manufacturers website. It's more of a starting point for research than a complete guide. Maybe I'll do longer one's in the future and do a long and short version?
So no run times, battery charge, nothing? It could be the strongest battery operating blower on the market but only work for 5 mins. Only saying it works is not a review, your a QA tester.
@@Mark.Watson Lol, I always avoid montages of me working. But lucky for you, I have a video coming out in a little while of THE ACTUAL most powerful leaf blower...and I will include a montage of it being used!

Can you make it short and stubby, for car wash drying?
I don't think so, it doesn't come with a shorter tube. It does come with specialty tips though.
Hi, and thanks for the great review. What are the approximate runtimes you can achieve with this from a full battery to depleted?
Thank you! I've been getting about 15-20 minutes on full blast, but I'll be getting the stopwatch out soon to do a short video on actual run time.
You are being generous when you say 15 minutes more like half that time on the high setting
Which one is the latest model 525ib or 350ib? In my region i don't see the 350ib 😢
The 525 seems to be newer, but the 350 is still more powerful. Good luck!
Thanks. I going to give it a try.

Of course this leaf blower is powerful so is the price compared to the other brands. Like they say 'you get what you pay for'.

How long does the battery last ? And how many batteries come with it ??
Just one 7.5 ah battery. I always go full blast and I get around 15...20 minutes.
How long does it take to charge?
I'm not sure of an exact time, but it isn't fast! Plan on a couple of hours.

What you get 10 minutes of power stick to gas for leaves or if you have 10 batteries
It's great for light to medium, or quick heavy tasks. For long heavy tasks I use my 580 BTS.
Put this up against the Echo 9010 or the Stihl Br800 and it won't stand a snowball's chance next to the equator
