As a NZ QLD supporter since the 80's. MG is still a legend to me loved watching him play for the blues he was definitely fierce and passionate. Loved game 3 it had it all.

It was never going over anyone’s head..... really poor option...... Luai is a passenger in rep games..... I’ll take DCE’s experience into the Kangaroos over Cleary everytime.... just my opinion...
Cleary's option taking for the chip kick was 1 of 2 options best options, as Luai was going full tilt and probably gonna be the first to that ball (on the backside of the maroons line) it should have been passed tho through the hands (all in hindsight tho)

It was NEVER even going over Hunts head and he’s all of 5.5 tall..... it was a lame kick, a really poor last play option with 4 maybe 5 blues to his left..... once Hunt reeled the ball in he was gone and that attacking line had no hope turning and giving chase. They play lucky at Penrith, sometimes it comes off sometimes it doesn’t. In big games you need big game players not lucky ones. Actually Burton steamrolled Ponga first, which Gagai rightly took offence at. Gagai simply shoved Burton in retaliation, then they both fired up. Besides defensive vs offensive punches are irrelevant - a punch is still a punch. Both deserved the sin bin for it, but Burton started it. Had he not steamrolled Ponga it never would have gone further.

I don’t care for Fittlers roosters coaching it was over a decade ago and people kept saying last year that walters couldn’t coach because of his efforts in France in 2006. Well he’s improved since then. 2022 shows that clearly. At origin I think people get a warped sense of reality. A 50% record as origin coach is a very good origin coach. Meninga and Gould are outliers. Even Bennett is 50% as coach at origin. Also I 100% agree with you. Cleary might be the best halfback playing today. But he’s in the kimmorley and Scott prince level. Alfie, sterlo and JT and Joey those guys are immortals or should be/will be. I’ve said it numerous times Cleary is a flat track bully. When his team is playing in a dominant position he produces like in game 2. If it’s even or he’s on the back foot. Game 1 and 3 show you everything you need to know, and I’m sick of Joey saying he’s this complete halfback. Johns won games by himself on the back foot. Langer did it. Sterling and JT did it. Cleary can’t overcome hardship. I also think luai is exclusively there because he’s from Penrith. To me whighton should be the 6 Mitchell and burton in the centres and have turbo and addocarr as the wings and give turbo the Chris Walker role of it being his job to be where ever whighton or Cleary are.

Fittler was outcoached by Slater. Best example is straight up copying the double hooker selection of Grant and Hunt that Maroons had in Game 1 by bringing in Koroisau to partner Cook in Game 2. No Fox, no Wighton. The wins he's had are purely because they had a better team when Latrell and Turbo are playing.
One thing MG remember Luke O'Donnell punching and head butting Dave Taylor while he was being held by two NSW players and didn't even get ten in the bin

No it's not. Last night was special. So many people are saying it's arguably the greatest game of footy ever played and that doesn't happen every year.
NSW lost the origin when Fredricko decided he would wield the axe on the winning team from last year and also go with 2 hard running wingers instead of one hard running winger and one winger that can win you the game proven from any were on field.He drops Whiten our best from game 1 for Chritten who isnt uopto origin yet,he basically tells Lattrell we dont need you after Lattrell for 2 weeks tells him hell play ,so he rules himself out ,he lets soft young panthers dictate selections based on who they like or dislike .theres been a split in the nsw side because of this and alot of players are pissed at freddy. loyalty and hes weak stance to the young panthers. Game 1 they were outplayed even though it was close .Game 2 they were outplayed untill the sin bin...game 3 they got out coached and had no speed to match qld...it came down to speed and nsw had none to create magic..kick protection was poor, burton did one bomb whole game..Freddy gave no loyalty and he got none back ,theres been a split in the camp and freddys inability to pick a team is clear.Great coach poor selector.Chad townsend over Reynolds is mind boggling.Mclean over RCG mind boggling...he needs to coach and have a selection panel pick the team as its to much for Fredricko..is what it is

I don’t care for Fittlers roosters coaching it was over a decade ago and people kept saying last year that walters couldn’t coach because of his efforts in France in 2006. Well he’s improved since then. 2022 shows that clearly. At origin I think people get a warped sense of reality. A 50% record as origin coach is a very good origin coach. Meninga and Gould are outliers. Even Bennett is 50% as coach at origin.
Also I 100% agree with you. Cleary might be the best halfback playing today. But he’s in the kimmorley and Scott prince level. Alfie, sterlo and JT and Joey those guys are immortals or should be/will be. I’ve said it numerous times Cleary is a flat track bully. When his team is playing in a dominant position he produces like in game 2. If it’s even or he’s on the back foot. Game 1 and 3 show you everything you need to know, and I’m sick of Joey saying he’s this complete halfback. Johns won games by himself on the back foot. Langer did it. Sterling and JT did it. Cleary can’t overcome hardship. I also think luai is exclusively there because he’s from Penrith. To me whighton should be the 6 Mitchell and burton in the centres and have turbo and addocarr as the wings and give turbo the Chris Walker role of it being his job to be where ever whighton or Cleary are.

Filter should be half way through an origin winning dynasty with the cattle he has to work with, but he's already botched 2 unlosable series.
Fittler was outcoached by Slater. Best example is straight up copying the double hooker selection of Grant and Hunt that Maroons had in Game 1 by bringing in Koroisau to partner Cook in Game 2.
No Fox, no Wighton. The wins he's had are purely because they had a better team when Latrell and Turbo are playing.

NSW lost the origin when Fredricko decided he would wield the axe on the winning team from last year and also go with 2 hard running wingers instead of one hard running winger and one winger that can win you the game proven from any were on field.He drops Whiten our best from game 1 for Chritten who isnt uopto origin yet,he basically tells Lattrell we dont need you after Lattrell for 2 weeks tells him hell play ,so he rules himself out ,he lets soft young panthers dictate selections based on who they like or dislike .theres been a split in the nsw side because of this and alot of players are pissed at freddy.
