I feel you on don't follow trends anymore. My daughter like braiding hair the same way you do. Just go ahead and start braiding. I used the two strand technique on my hair or this technique. A lot easier and quicker than following trends that have your fingers going all kinds of ways. Beautiful braids! Love that hair color! 😍❤️😍

I’ve been wanting to do some small light weight box braids. I just did not have patience for perfect parting lol. I think I can do them so long as I do free parting in the back.

Can you do a video or short showing the technique of the braiding hair to braid it in sis you keep it long and put a split in it or did you cross it over that’s what was confusing me

Beautiful. This is old school. I was just telling my cousin I miss the old braid styles skinny braids burnt ends and wrap braids. They are so light on your head. Big braids are pretty but they give me a headach... to heavy. You did an amazing job. 💘

Thank you ❤️! The difference between x-tra small box braids and micro individuals is the parting size and shape.
X-stra small still has the brick layered boxed parting whereas micro individuals won't be as uniformed. Also, the amount of hair you use.
It will be kind of confusing unfortunately because everyone has a different outlook on size/amount of hair. Hope this helps!

I got it from my local beauty supply. You have to try to find it in the boxes since this type of pack hair isn’t popular to buy anymore.

The sit may feel long if you don’t have any “distractions” but I promise if you have some snacks, a good series, and a nice stylist, it’ll go by quickly and you’ll have a style that can last for months !

It depends on how you burn it and what hair you use for it to not be crusty and burnt looking.

Thank you ! I kept them in for a short amount of time but max, I’ll recommend no more than 2 months.
these are so beautiful and well done!! i learned a technique on how to position the braiding hair in your hands for a good grip! when i did a little bit of braiding practice, i was always gripping hair another way which didn't always work out for me!

Hello. Some parts I just used my finger feeling my way through, but mostly, I used my parting comb and felt my way around my head. I don’t use a mirror if I’m not filming.

Awesome ! It took me a total of about 7-8 hours. Not counting the long breaks 😆
@@TierraLynn is it easier to braid fast with small amount of hair v when doing larger braids? I tend to braid kind of slow, regular medium sized box braids will take me 8 hours non stop..
Yes ! Smaller braids are the easier to braid because they’re the easier to hold. The more hair you have in your hand, the slower you’ll go. Don’t think you’re doing anything wrong. It’s perfectly normal.
