Repent of your sins, accept God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit into your heart, that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, that all who believe on Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father Jehovah God but through Him.
Not long after I got saved I prayed to God for help understanding the Holy Bible, and that same day someone knocked on my door asking me if I wanted to understand the Bible.
The Holy Bible says, "love thy enemy", "turn the other cheek", "If your enemy is hungry, feed him", "if he is thirsty, give him a drink", "pray for those who persecute you", "do not repay evil for evil".
LORD willing, all humans may commit sin of almost every kind (gay, straight), and that's wrong, and all humans sin, as God tells us through the The Holy Bible, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." The Holy Bible also says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
Batman as a symbol of corporate oppression? Sounds like someone's favorite villain is Anarky.
Directionally, a tad too chaotic. Felt like Michael Bay for a moment. That said, this was absolutely beautifully animated. I mean top shelf man, excellent work

Fantastic work. My only critique is that pullback shot to show a minimalist, silhouetted Batman only lit by lightning is unforgettable. The over-the-shoulders shot displaying the city aflame has affect but has the feel of an action movie rather than a grim noir.
That was probably the idea. I like his spin on the intro it's cool.

I honestly had to watch it 2 times and a a third in 0.25 speed to see realize that he did.
Ima come up with a plot:
Brewing in the dark underworld of Gotham, a new terrorist emerges, spreading ‘Anarchy’ throughout the streets. As Batman races to cease his endeavors, he realizes that if nothing is done to put this terrorist down, it could lead to nuclear war in Gotham.
"Larping, Man-child, bloodthirsty billionaire"

Seeing a mix of Batman, metal, and high-intensity action is something I never knew I wanted from Batman. Amazing video and I like the little humor sprinkled throughout! The style of having everything blanketed in red was a very cool style and came out really well!
On another note, I think some commenters have been a little too critical on your direction and message, especially since it's obviously not to be taken too seriously. I mean, Batman literally has a Bat-Amazon logo and there's a "Consume" Bat-Signal in the sky. I'm a little surprised on how disparaging commenters were on your own personal interpretation of this Batman and the comedic direction you took, but I guess they just want to see the original Batman Animated series again.

Too many people are (positively) criticizing this as a loose remake; or an insult to what Batman stands for. Think of this less as our hero, and as one of the countless alternate Earths' Batman.
This is such an awesome protest piece--from the "bad guys" being a pair of protestors outside Wayne Bank who may well have been framed--or not on the same page (one looks honestly confused by the explosion), to the last man standing torching the cap-signal instead of attacking Batman. Neither raised a hand against him at all, just the bird.
The pigs' license plate brands them as such, and they roll up to execute the criminals instead of arrest them, despite Batman having already neutralized their threat.
We aren't seeing Batman, the hero; no, he wouldn't have let Wayne Enterprises treat their employees so poorly that they wish to demolish the establishment. We're seeing a "larping manchild, bloodthirsty billionare" and the consequences of giving such people power; hence the end shot substituting the iconic Dark Knight in the light looking out for the next crime, for a scene of him looking down upon the masses and watching Gotham burn.

The world is complicated, but don't discount your own work. You took the brutalist approach to a very real issue with Batman. This is how countless jaded citizens of Gotham would view him if they realized he was Bruce Wayne--even if he was still fighting for good.
Pairing this in tandem with the heroic take of the original perfectly balances it out, like in your other comparison video.
Stay proud of this! It's not just an edgy animation, it's a work of dark art. The difference between the two is that one is solely grim for the sake of being such, whereas the other has a brutally honest tale to tell.
Hmmm. I get what you're getting at, but I don't like billionaires or megacorps more because I like Batman. I think, in the same way Superman shows us what Humanity can be if it gets its act together, Batman shows us just another shade of that. The power of the wealthy, usually used for personal gain or greater wealth accumulation in a vicious cycle of exploitation, suddenly placed in the hands of an incorruptible, empathetic man. Bruce Wayne is just as idealistic as Superman - a hero who fights issues both small and large, from crooks to gods to, yes, his fellow CEOs. The Wrath, Simon Stagg, Maxwell Lord, Lex Luthor, so on and so forth.
I definitely think Batman stuff should focus a little more on that latter category. But I don't think anyone is under the illusion that Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos are just as good as Bruce Wayne. But that's just my take, and of course no problems with your animation skill either. Even if I don't agree with the message, I'd be blind if I said it didn't look damn good.

I mean...judging from their reactions, it doesn't seem like they were the ones who did it. They weren't even looking at the bank before it went up, and then one grabbed the other's shoulders to shake them from their stupor and run.

The animation is good in general, but, while I can respect the attached message, I really don't like how Batman was, essentially, villainized. He was written here as if Jeff Bezos had the training and suit, and used those abilities to stomp out worker dissent. Whereas, compared to your typical corporate executive, Bruce used his resources for actual good rather than personal gain. It's well animated, granted, but the direction of the main character was one that'd be better on someone like Lex Luthor.

Batman is a vessel to tell stories, it's an extremely compelling character which I admittedly love. Batman as intellectual property is something else, stories told by the Batman character today are just another way out of many, many ways for billionaires, who own these characters as property, to maintain the status quo, and by extension, their wealth. also, it's my personal art, it's cool if you don't like it :)

I actually feel the same, this took so long to make that by the time I finished it my state of mind was completely different. This video is just a projection of stuff that bothered me, that today I just want to ignore. Appreciate the comment!!
