Sonic Origins Plus: Sonic 2 Mania Lite (W.I.P) ✪ Extended Gameplay (1080p/60fps)

Sonic Origins Mania-Lite is a Multi-game Skin Overhaul Mod Project created by RubberNugget.

The mod aims to be an all-encompassing Mania-styled graphical update for Sonic Origins. This includes player character sprites, general level objects, unique level sprites, UI elements, and even the tile sets for many stages. This mod combines three of the creators previous graphics-enhancing mods into one, and as such, all listed changes apply to Sonic 1, Sonic CD, and Sonic 2. Sonic 3 & Knuckles is now being new to the collection.
Partially due to needing to mesh the appearance of updated and unaltered assets and partially due to a lack of space on the colour palette, the fidelity of the graphical improvements occupy a middle ground between the more limited Genesis graphics of Sonic 1-3 and the more detailed graphics of Knuckles' Chaotix and Sonic Mania, hence the name "Mania-Lite".

The Player Characters have been almost entirely replaced with sprites from Sonic Mania (with flourishes from JunkeyBot's Character Edits Plus mod). The colour palettes have been lowered in fidelity while still preserving the added detail of the newer sprites. There have also been edits to:
• Make Sonic's blues more vibrant, using a custom palette based on Sonic 2. Sonic's head has been reshaded to remove the appearance of "mohawk spines" and his shoes now feature his golden buckles.
• Replace Tail's brown fur colour with a suitable shade of orange.
• Make Knuckles redder in comparison to Sonic Mania.
Additionally, the S3 sub-mod replaces Sonic's sprites with ones from my other mod, Sonic R3shaded.
Character sprites and colouring are now identical between games, allowing for a more consistent art style.

Love the mod, but I think Tail's fur color can be toned down a bit since it looks too saturated. I'm really not a fan of them making super Sonic's eyes green

Not a fan of the musical style of this game. All the samples sound overcompressed and generic. Hopefully they can liven up the overall music style cause the ost is way better
