Thank you very much! I have always loved this color on a drum set just couldn’t find the exact color I wanted so I chose it and they painted it. They even sent me a picture sample before starting the entire paint process on the drums. And I was like yup. That’s the perfect color. Very thorough. Was about to go with black nickel hardware but glad I didn’t since my rack and hardware are all chrome. And yup the packaging was amazing. Everything super secure. It was a workout
Absolutely beautiful set of drums! I'm very familiar with single headed concert toms but no headed drums is new to me. I may have to look into Ocho Catorce headless drums as I live in an apartment. Enjoy!!
Thank you very much!!!! I had a snare made by another company before and they burned me man. They sold my snare as I was making my final payment on it. And they made me a new one but color was so bad… called the owner by phone and said he didn’t give a eff. HHG drums. Never again. Luckily 8:14 came through
Thank you! I currently sold all of my cymbals and older hardware and pedals. So gotta wait for the new cymbals and all of that stuff. I will if I get enough people saying they want me to play them. But they will be on tiktok eventually as my main kit and I’ll do a tour of the set.
@@jaystechroom I definitely know the feeling. I had 16 cymbals on one kit. Then I kept buying more kits, and had to divide the cymbals between the kits. So I have to move them back and forth between gigs. (I prefer to keep studio cymbals in the studio, and my giggers in the cases ready to go. )
@@JasonWelchMusic well I’m getting my custom cymbals too lol. Imma be making a video on those too. Supposed to be ready in mid February :) that was another $2k. But I’m done playing all these kits everyone already has. Wanted something of my own.
@@jaystechroom lol... Mexican music has many genres. They've got Mariachi, Tejano, Cumbia, Banda, Norteña, Alabanzas, and what I call mountain music. I only play music with Christian lyric. Nice drums & great finish..., what are the shells made of ? Hardware looks very solid but not sure if it's just fingerprints and dust but, it looks kind off industrial, not really shiny maybe a by product of that packing material ?
Yeah I was waiting for a full review after a few months as far as complaints on the kit. And one of them is the hardware. Looks nice and shiny. Some parts def weren’t cleaned but windex does the job or a cloth. But I’ll share those in a separate video.

I know FDM printers have tons of different filament materials they can print with, are the bass drum feet at least a rubbery material? I don't love the rough look of the 3d printed parts but for a company dead set on making everything from scratch right down to hoops and lugs, I understand them wanting an in-house solution for those parts. I just worry they are more on the hard plastic side than rubber side which would render them less effective.
@@jaystechroom Awesome. Some shapes, (especially like the holes through the side of what I think were floor tom feet in that one other guys unboxing with the natural ebony 4 piece) are hard to 3d print without layer lines and some stringing/imperfections, ESPECIALLY with softer material like that. I just hope they serve their purpose well and I'm sure if they ever have a failure, 8:14 will take care of ya. Details like this (and what you guys discussed about the inside hoop finishing on the chrome hoops) really help people like me who can't find hardly any details unboxing/review videos as I'm sitting here with a full custom kit planned out, waiting to be able to talk myself into the price and ordering lol.
@@dustinworcester2799 yeah I feel ya man. I def need to make a video about the imperfections but other than the rims not fitting correctly with the screws(screws felt too short) and the chrome hardware paint chipping if you hit it with a rim of another drum I don’t see many other issues.
@@DrumPeearl they ain’t perfect drums. But I dig them. My top complaints. 1) the chrome paint chips so easily 2) the rims didn’t sit properly on mine. 3) screws for almost all the drums were too short. 4)the hardware was eh.
@@jaystechroom Yeah I've seen this little flaws... I think that's pretty annoying that the tension rods are too short, I guess you can't turn the drums low cause of this ?
@@DrumPeearl you can and I just bought other tension rods. But they’re good now. They have uv2 heads on them now. But since we are expecting a baby I just bought an electric kit. Never been a fan of them lol. But man they help

Oh it did bother me how it came already with the rims attached. It was a pain to remove on some of them and then with putting new heads on. But imma make a full review with sound at the studio next month :) the paint and all of that is fine. A few complaints for sure. And I also keep the rims touching because I have OCD like that lol.
