If you notice, the two guys walking in the opposite direction are in step as well. After basic, you find yourself marching everywhere, walking with a sense of purpose and urgency. I miss those days..
Hello, I am in TX-20062. My name is Curtis Lee, rank is Airman E2. We all have to march during drill AKA The Thirty Basic. I personally love to march, due to the fact of it being fun to do and it passes time.
Dude, the AIR FORCE is the most precise, you can hear the words, this is an airman basic calling cadence, I will put the Air Force up against any service when marching Yes Sirrrrrr love you all
+titopr18 I don't remember alot of their names, man. I remember having a female yellow rope at one point. We had a Guard guy from New York as a red rope for a bit...Jones, I think. I don't remember who took his spot. Maybe Sira, the guy who posted this video.
By the direction they're marching, they're going to class. Idk if it's changed but tshift is the swing shift classes. R shift used to be the overnight classes.
My TI told us back in 71 we're all in this together. We are all fighting to defend one country, the USofA. All branches are great and have there separate missions. I respect everyone that served no matter which branch.
I remember our Det used to run circles around the Army, and we still had the best cadence. All branches are great, but the USAF is the epitome of professionalism in the Armed Forces.
GTOAviator Hah I dunno about that, sure are plenty of clowns in the USAF. They preach professionalism and it goes so far, as far as I saw it was pretty much per-trainee, each one takes the training differently.
Its so crazy, because this video was released in March of 2007 and I remember watching it a year after it came out. Fast forward to 2017, I graduate college and have no idea what to do with my life so I join the Air force and here I am 5 years later still serving, but almost done lol. I was never at Pensacola, I was at fort sam then re-classed and went to Fort Lee. For whatever reason the jodys at Fort Lee seemed to be more upbeat then what we had at Fort Sam. Fun times for sure!
Just curious what is the title of this cadence? the fog and the echoing when combined, just make this video... oh so damn epic. I cant wait to finally have a chance at becoming an Airman.

I was in the Air force in 1978-1982 was awesome time , Crew chief on fighter jets at Tyndall AFB 325th AGS attached to the 95th Fighter Squadron. A little story one day on the flight line my jet landed and i parked him put the ladder on the side and the pilot had been out west somewhere. He said hey Shoe can you help me with something i said dont know what is it . this is 1979, he said i have 2 cases of Coors beer in the luggage rack (kinda like a fuel belly tank but a luggage carrier) he said if you get it to the fence ill give ya 2 six packs . I said yes lol i was 19 . So he gave me 2 six packs and I got in the Box truck we used on flight line and said hey Sarge Tech Sargent lol you want a cold coors beer , he stopped the truck and said where did you get coors beer ( in 1979 coors beer was not sold east of the mississippi yet) i said dont worry about it you want a beer lol he said hell yes, so there was 6 of us working that day so we all got 2 ice cold slush beers lol , technically they were bootlegging beer on a fighter jet lol we had so much fun down there what memories I salute all Veterans thanks for your service
I was in tech school at Chanute in August of '75, and watching "ElectraGlide In Blue" at the base theatre. My old man was a Coors drinker, and was used to seeing it (California). There was a scene in the movie that opened up on a Coors sign. The cheer that went up from the audience made me jump, LOL.
This video was a posted/shot a year before I was in tech school on NAS Pensacola in 08. Got out in 15. Still love this shit in 19...almost 20. Some damn good memories for an old F'ER in the military sense.
Don't remember much about basic training cept when was bouncing at 5 in the morning marching to chow. got up from the ground after getting hit behind the knee by the TI. that was 1959 Lackland

When did they start doing this? I was at Lackland in 1968 and our T.I.s didn't sing. The new uniforms are sharp. All we had were sloppy looking, salt stained green fatigues and pith helmets.

@vanquish02 "Chair Force". Ah, how I love to hear my branch of service referred to in this derogatory manner. Well, seeing as how I just got off a "twelve" hour shift after working all night fixing a jet in the cold weather on the flightline, the nickname makes perfect sense to me. I only come in early so I can let the prior shift off as early as possible and end up being at work longer than the Air Force allows. The pilots come out to the prepare for flight and complain it's cold. Really? BPO.

Yeah it doesn't turn off.
christopherc731 Even AFJROTC got me marchin round everywhere. I can safely say I don't walk anymore.

Yeah CAP is pretty heavy on Drill. In my squadron, we teach the basics most movements on day 1. -C/TSgt JMH, CAP
once upon a time ucmj demanded it, on training installations; two or more “stragglers” would be made to march as a unit
