I got stationed in California on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, 3:weeks after being in California on was headed to Tijuana as I drove I saw a dark McDonald's restaurant with candles and memorials left for the 21 victims , I slowed down and just looked ,. It was an eerie feeling knowing this is the McDonald's I saw on national TV and the site of this horrific tragedy RIP 21 🙏
I remember that day, hours before we were going to eat there all the family, we lived in Tijuana, and everyday after picking up our dad from IMSS were he was a Medicine Doctor there in Tijuana, we went to San Diego to have fun and go to parks and beaches, so my mother say, i have enough with Mc Donalds, let´s go to pizza hut for lunch near La Jolla location, so we saved our lifes thanks to mom that day. God receive all those souls in his Glory. Now i live in Mexicali, i wish someday return to Tijuana or better to San Diego, who knows.

I remember watching the footage of the challenger explosion, but I don't ever remember seeing a single thing about what you went through that day on the news out here as I just learned about any of this last night because of the Amazon prime documentary about it. That was the single most disturbing camera footage I have EVER seen on TV.
