      Put a child in a room with an apple and a puppy.
      The child will hug the puppy and bite into the apple.
      That alone should tell you that we are not natural predators, or carnivores/omnivores.

    Great video. The one thing that was very sad and strange - a poor woman and her son had to go at 2:00 a.m in the morning to get organic produce out of the garbage , so that she could become healthy. She and her son are brave and creative but what does that say about the U.S. culture/health system/human rights ? : (

      Yeah, that's an interesting part. What's also interesting is I have met several vegans that dumpster dive and they don't even have to. They just do it to reduce waste. Freegans rock!

    What a great presentation! We need to share this video. I'm Filipino, and Filipino and plant-based in one sentence is almost unheard of. My first attempt on vegetarianism was in 2006 and it lasted for a year. I did it for spiritual and ethical reasons. It was difficult to maintain it due to different factors including socio-cultural pressure. When I moved here in the US, I made several attempts, all didn't last long. Finally in 2020, I gave it another shot did not look back. Currently I am on a WFPB SOS-free diet. And I'm in the best shape of my life. Many of my peers in the Philippines are already on medication for hypertension and other chronic diseases. Many of them believe that as long as they have medication, nothing will go wrong. I have been promoting WFPB and fitness on my social media and I have probably annoyed so many, but that's okay. My goal is to help those who are curios and are willing to try this way of eating.

    It’s also interesting regarding WWII how you see a reverberation of all of the trauma, militant attitudes, killing, slaughter, chemicals, machines, etc. seeping into culture and how we treat our bodies and animals. It’s like a spillover of war mentality - the very concept of war is archaic and violent, so why wouldn’t we continue to mistreat ourselves and other animals?

    It was a brilliant eye opening talk. In the UK most of the animal farming is done on land that is too hilly and mountainous to farm any crops on. I am not saying it's right to farm animals but just saying the animals are farmed on land which can't be used for anything else.

    • @michaelcarter8620
      @michaelcarter8620 Год назад

      It’s like that in many places. The animals are part of a healthy agricultural ecosystem. Without them turning over the soil and pooping we wouldn’t have the amazing organic crops that we eat. It’s all connected.

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  Год назад

      @@michaelcarter8620 There is no requirement to eat the animals for their poop or even use their poop. Veganic farming, no till, crop rotations with nitrogen fixing plants, etc.

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  Год назад

      Considering that animal agriculture requires 17 times more land, there is no need for those hills or for unsuitable landscapes. But even still you can find plenty of examples where they grow all kinds of crops like large vine fruits and vegetables such as melons, squash, cucumbers, sweet corn, okra, rice, etc.

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  Год назад

      I don't really know what you mean when you say a good plant based diet. If you're having difficulties then consult with a lifestyle medicine practitioner. I don't know what you mean by your body is falling apart or if that's even related to your diet. I can only assume that you were not raised on a whole plant exclusive diet and maybe you need to to get some guidance on how to implement this in the most simple way. A lifestyle medicine practitioner will look at the 6 pillars of lifestyle medicine and meet you where you're at and help you take it to the next level. ❤

    What a greedy amount of ads you put in this video 😡

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  4 года назад +16

      The only ads I set are default. I actually did this video for free. I flew out from NC to NYC, got a room for several nights, hiked through New York miles each day each way to video this all with my own money. Then I spent weeks editing the videos I captured at this event. The computer, the gear, the monthly subscription to adobe, the traveling, etc... cost me a LOT. So, yep, I run ads in hopes to get at least a few dollars back. But, I'll never get a fraction back for what I spent. Plus, this was time away from making money, time away from my family, etc... I even setup a page on my site to help cover the cost but not one person is yet. I haven't really shared this or made this public really, but if you don't want to see ads then help me produce the content with a significant ongoing contribution and I'll turn ads off and keep producing more content: veganlinked.com/fundme/ otherwise, you get what you pay for, you didn't pay for anything, you get an ad. Sorry, but at some point, I have to at least cover a little of my gas or something!
