Nice! Really like the Fusion RTR. Hope other companies are paying attention to that. That new slab will be great for scrubbing in new crawler tires, just like you were doing.😁
Kudos to Redcat, they did something that almost none of the major manufacturers does - listen to their customers! Price, performance, upgrades (carbon lcg frame, Fusion SE, brass, beadlocks, etc), Redcat nailed it, straight out of the box. I still think they should eliminate the internal springs but that's easy enough to remedy. And I'd like to see an angled skid, to improve breakover on technical climbs (doesn't have it from what I can see - maybe to adhere to Class 1 rules?). The gears in the gearbox are still plastic and I'd like to see them upgraded to metal (especially with brushless) but at least the portal gears are metal and the spools are machined. Overall, though, home run for Redcat. 👍
Man I was hoping other companies would answer the call once Vanquish put out the Stance. And Redcat was first one. 👏🏻 nice job on this one Redcat!!!!! Absolutely love the colors, half cab, Fusion SE, plastic bead locks, good servo, tires, and brass….ALL out of box bone stock! I’m telling you guys….RTRs like this is what the hobby needs in order to bring in those that want to try one out. Once them get this sucker and the addiction takes hold the sky and their budget is the limit 😆
They must've realized most people buy aftermarket from third parties anyway, so they aren't losing out by just making it awesome out the box. Hopefully the others catch on to this but so far the last three trucks I've looked at getting have all been Redcats. The fact they even include the different gears for overdrive is next level. Just sensational.
I really feel inserts are over hyped. This was crawling amazing on stock foams and had perfect conform. Jconcepts regular foams are working great here. Nice run exo and major props to Redcat! It was very cool hearing you say what's to do! That's good stuff
Nice upgrades, nice job from Redcat, but it looks like it’s still an Ascent…too much throttle needed on some obstacles, because performance wasn’t there. I’d still go for the Stance!
If you do a lot of trail walking with your rig between crawl spots, is it bad to run 25% overdrive in risk of overheating the drive train? Even if it's all dirt? I like to go hiking in the woods and drive my Capra along with me and if I see a good crawl area I'll stop to play. I just don't want to burn anything up. Any advice from anyone would be appreciated. 👍👍
I have 15% overdrive on my Gen8 and do trails beating on it on 4s, I’m talking about 3-4hrs of trails with tons of wide open throttle action and have never had any issue. I run a Mamba X with a 2850kv motor.
Nice you must have newer gen 8. Id have to upgrade the portals , I have beat heck out before but no overdrive , I have no challenging courses , I gave up 😂 I should do walks
There’s got to be a compromise somewhere. It’s tenth scale, it’s brushless and it’s rtr. No other companies are even close to offering that. Me personally find it ugly as sin 😂 tire foams are subjective to change for any given person
@@dillonbuckley5063399s a crazy value for the money! Even if you spend another 100 on a proper servo or a better radio youre still ontop. I remember when there was no fusion and we had to buy/cram the hobbywing axe lol spent close to a grand to get something this close a year or so back
Most people are going to change wheels, tires and inserts anyway. I’m ok with them adding stuff like the brass portal covers and not including inserts.
Redcat not messing around anymore, from the COE to the Xmaxx destroyer 🎉

Redcat is no joke! They're setting themselves up to be prime competitors in every category. It's surprising!
Great you review this awesome product I love redcat and Im happy they build this

Of their three new vehicles, this seems like the one they put the most pride and joy into.

Nice rig Exo. People are just so darn picky. There’s no such thing as the perfect rc rig people! That’s part of the love affair for the hobby
The truck is amazing. Definitely can’t wait to get mine and put it on the rocks. Great video
Mine on ordered can’t wait about 5 day fedex delivery
Just picked mine up!!!!🤘🤘🤘

REDCAT is going hard!
Propably best out of the box crawler ever looks and performs great!
Shame it's rubbing on the body a bit tho. It will need some trimming
Stance.
Amazing rig. Like you said redcat is changing
Im so glad redcat is going back to what made them 'hobby grade' instead of toy grade! Impaler.
I'm surprised you didn't try the incline ramp
The only bad thing is now I can't decide which new redcat to buy.
Awesome problem to have!
...I wish I had that problem !!! 😆👏✌️
I have the ultimate answer:
All!😁😊
Wait and get the furitek edition 1/18 😂
I would like to see a micro fusion for the minis@Imfocused247
AWESOMENESS, straight out of the box!!! 😎
Still modifying my redcat gen7 till this day, its a beast!

One bad ass cat!!! Great video 😊
My wife and I just ordered two 👍
Awesome! Did you use the link I put in there?
Looks like all it needs are some hi clearance rear links
Just bought this truck can’t beat it for the price
Thanks for the video its too bad there wasn't a comparison with another Redcat truck to see which one is best.
Love all my Redcats, well except that Landslide....
That is one nice looking truck
Ordered mine during the Live 🤣
Has any other RTR been able to make Crack of doom out of the box?
Didn’t vanguish sell comp rtr
i love ending 😅
Ugh…. Redcat is killing me. I picked up my first mini-crawler with the Ascent 18 and then they release this thing. My wife is going to kill me. 😅
Looks like my next purchase will be a Redcat.
I’ll add my Fusion Pro maybe
Put a winch on it is all and the mount is already built in
Very cool Crawler for only $400 WOW are you kidding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wonder how much of it will work on the og ascent ?
You can always change the color of the grommets and shock caps. Maybe trim the body.
Hopefully, they come up with different colors
Nice upgrades, nice job from Redcat, but it looks like it’s still an Ascent…too much throttle needed on some obstacles, because performance wasn’t there. I’d still go for the Stance!
Now this one im impress nice rtr😊
looks like a rig to buy the wife... if that ever happens again. 😆
🎉🎉🎉RedCat
I want one!!!!
Did you have to thread lock any of your screws before running it??
I like the wheels 🛞
Nice
Top speed out of the box running a 3s 1'400mah 50c = 6mph.
You heading back to Beat the Creek?
Are the wheels and tires 2.2’s?
There's a lot of tire lug noise
Have you tested for bump steer and the height of each axle at the diff and cvds between front and rear?
put a drone on it
test against a comp rig or two

I would say between spots is fine ,long as not geared low and having it wide open on long walks
Nice you must have newer gen 8. Id have to upgrade the portals , I have beat heck out before but no overdrive , I have no challenging courses , I gave up 😂 I should do walks
Itll run the trails all day fine. I've got some with over 30% and they've been fine for years
Try bigger tires and wheels on it.
Pin tires..
Redcat attacks driver
They had to cut costs by giving it half a body and not trimming the body they did give enough.
What is the wheelbase? It seems like it hangs up on everything on the belly
12.3 as it sits
It's a lcg belly dragger, dude
lol no its not@@philthyco1
@@philthyco1 I understand it’s a belly dragger, but it’s the only belly dragger that drags from front to back in between its legs dude
@@TheLilhulk1111 I understand that you're on every video hating..Lol
for the price point of these trucks, not having entry level inserts across the board is a negative for me with there RTR lines.

What do you mean there’s other comp trucks under 300 with 2 state incerts
@@RcPlayer-tt2vwwhat other brushless truck are you referring to? I'd rather buy inserts myself.
