      @@gochagory great to hear that and thank you for sharing!🎈It is so wise to buy premium quality things at a smaller price👍 I usually recommend doing the same with coats, classic shoes, bags, etc. 🙌

    You hit it all! I have learned so much from watching your channel. Being petite, curvy, and broad shouldered - proportion, simple cuts, good fabric and nice comfortable shoes make all the difference.

    Thank you for these wonderful tips! I will definitely use them. Especially thinking about wearing the monochromatic look more. Your examples are so inspiring!
    I do have a request. .. please leave up the side by side outfits a little longer on screen when editing. It goes by a little too fast for me. I know I can freeze frame, but just wanted to let you know it's okay to leave those outfits up for a bit longer so we can compare the before and after. 😊❤

    I ❤❤❤ trailored clothes, but most retailers forgot how to do trailoring... Oversize is my nemesis: hard to make it proportionate

    • @giedre
      @giedre  7 месяцев назад

      It’s true,, the same goes for quality, therefore I own some older pieces or even pieces I have from my mom’s or grandma’s wardrobes that I cherish a lot 🤍 However, proportion is key in making the look work and sit the right way and happily a lot can be done by adding shoulder pads, tucking, rolling, etc. 🎈

    Just found your channel, amazing tips! I have inverted triangle body shape and it’s so difficult to pick the right clothes, your video on that helped a lot. I love it how you’re going straight to the point on what to wear and what not to wear. Please don’t stop doing that! In fact, the more outfit comparisons you show the better. Most of the content I've seen here are talking more than they’re showing, I wanna see more side by side comparisons!

    I love what you’ve shared here today, although I tend to be more of a maximalist and love some drama and oomph in my outfits from time to time. Your solutions are always simple and make such good sense and I love the way you present them in your videos.
    Thank you for sharing all of your hard work, Giedre, you’re a very talented stylist and a pleasure to watch.

    I love satin skirts, but i can't see them on me, because the shiny thin fabric shows every lump and bump under it, with the result that it enhances the volume of my belly/bottom/hips. Same for leather/fake leather. Any suggestions?

    • @giedre
      @giedre  7 месяцев назад +2

      Great question! There are several things to pay attention to: 1. Fabric. Choose a satin skirt which is thick enough to drape and skim over your body rather than clinging. It can be one thicker layer or even lined satin skirt. 2. Cut and length. In my opinion a skirt cut on a bias usually has a nice drape and the volume on the bottom helos to balance off the proportions. Make sure the skirt is long enough to give a contemporary vibe but is also flaterring on your proportions. 3. Outfits. I like matching my satin skirt with blazers or shirts. It provides more structure and camouflages the belly area. However if I want to match it with a knit, I opt for the same color knit to create one colum color effect which is slimming 👯🙃 in case you want to see practical examples I made a styling video: 11 Outfits with Satin skirt Casual Fall Outfits with Maxi Skirt | 11 Outfits
