I hope this video will give you some insights and practical ideas on how to improve your look no matter the body shape or size! Let’ celebrate everyBody! 💃🤗🤍
I would love a Part 2 to this video for SHORT curvy women. I’m 4’10” with short legs, broader shoulders and biggish chest (which excludes the ‘petite’ category, even when I was thinner) Everything is too long!
Thanks for the effort with the different body types. But I got the impression that you filmed the after - pictures abut further away. What would make an overall smaller picture ..
@@Palliativcare thanks! Just why should I imitate something? I’m filming and exploring as I find genuine interest in this topic and visual comparison and effects we can have on ourselves 💃
Great and helpful video! I think you are the first person who actually used plus sized models to show us before and after. Please continue to do so as it is very helpful!
So many of us are stuck on that "size" number and are wearing clothing that is too small. It doesn't matter what it says the size is, wear what fits your body. Cut the tag off if it makes you feel better. ☺
You are so right about not looking at the size listed on the outfit. In 1958, a Size 12 was a 25” waist; in 2024, a Size 12 is a 35” waist. You might be wearing the same size, but you sure aren’t the same size. 🙀
I wasn't aware of the effect of shiny fabrics on our appearance. Your example was impressive. Earlier I notice that my face looks better if I were something shiny, but in future I will use a scarf for that effect!
@@marinarehren7076 what a great observation from your side! That’s so true as shiny fabrics (especially white colored, sequins) they reflect more light and that helps to improve the look (reduce wrinkles, even out the skin tone etc.) so in order to have rhe similar effect you can add just a bit making sure it’s the closest layer to your face (a top, scarf, necklace, a lapel, embellishments, etc) 🌞🫶 thank you for bringing that up! 🤍
Beautiful apple lady (oh your mum! 😍 hi mum!) also needed to invest in a new bra. I couldn’t believe the difference a professionally fitted bra made to my apple shape. My bust looked like it was sagging onto my tummy and disappearing under my armpits. With a properly fitted bra my bust now sits on the front of my chest and ends above my tummy. It makes clothes look so much better.
Thank you SOOOOO much! Over 60 and plus size videos are not great, you did great! Please do more. Here are a couple of ideas to look at. Heals, most over 60 do not walk well in them, but the orthopedic options are terrible. Any ideas? Layers do look nice, but we are often hot…. What about bellies that hang down? Thanks!
Great ideas, thank you for catering to us not so tiny or young people. Not everyone is a size zero or in our 20s anymore. Your mom is just adorable, I’m so glad she let you use her as a model. What you picked for her was so flattering.
Love your videos.......kudos to you for using real looking people. Not size 2 models. Your Mom is great !! Can relate to all your suggestions, and just to let you know, I'm a woman in my middle seventies now and still love to look great in every outfit. Even if I just go to the grocery store. ❤
Another great video! Lately I’ve been seeing the benefits of wearing a vest like you’ve shown. I always stayed away from wearing them with a sleeveless tank because it exposes my arms, but the vertical benefit of that black vest was very noticeable! Have a wonderful day everyone. 💖
Thank you for addressing the concerns of a plus size woman. I appreciate the "real" models and think it was great that your mother agreed to be one of your models. This is the first video of yours that I have watched. I was very impressed and so decided to subscribe as well. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Have a happy day - Heidi😊
Great tips here. Your mum looked so much better afterwards. But, to really elevate her, a properly fitting bra to lift her figure and therefore give her more length in the waist as well would have looked even better again.
Great video, dear Giedre! I've been a little absent lately, but I wanted to update. Great advice. I like the idea of using colors smartly without bringing so much attention to oneself. I especially like the blue outfit (tip #3); it's so beautiful. I'm also planning to wear my gilet more in the fall, but I find it a little complicated because the design is too straight. In tip #5, yes the outfit makes your mother shine. And the long top tip; how impactful is it. I still struggle with it, but I've been actively changing that. Thanks for sharing!
6:29 I agree with adding the third long piece. But, even sleeveless, it is not possible in warmer climates. I really warm at 40 C. I discovered tho, that achieve the same effect by adding a 72cm long cotton scarf with indian prints without tying it, just draped around the neck.
That’s a great suggestion… thanx I’m in Australia and the heat here is un bearable in one layer often, so I’d struggle trying to wear more than that too, so I’ll try draping a cotton scarf and see how that goes. Great video & I love seeing normal plus size real women - it’s great ! Thanks
I came across this video by accident. I’ve never seen your channel before but I was absolutely fascinated watching your video. The changes to the clothes made so much difference. I’m 67yrs old but have never felt that I know what I’m doing with clothes. My clothes size has gone up and down over the years but has settled at a UK size 12 but I am literally straight up and down. I have a small bust, no waist, boyish hips and no bottom. Very much a rectangle. Would love to see a video on how to dress. Your models looked stunning 😊
These are helpful points, thank you as I clean out my closset! Your Mother looks stunning in the (4:45) skirt outfit. Thank you so much for these ideas as I havent worn a dress/shirt outfit in years as I didnt know how to style my plus 20 size body. More videos please.

@@108ladylena what a great question, thank you! It really depends a lot on your personal style and your everyday lifestyle. If I nees to name 3 things- I would say a third piece for layering, a nice fit good quality straight-leg pants and a v-neckline top 🤗
You didn’t mention the bust. Keeping the girls on the chest is youthful and making them stick out further than the belly in profile provides a lot of slimming balance.
The red pants and white top were much cuter , showed confidence over that awful tan pants with layered white tops. I also preferred the before outfits over those with the long sweaters ...the after looked frumpy and too much "trying to cover up." The simple pants and top were sleek and didn't need to hide. Maybe richer colors, scarves or jewelry would be a better approach than covering up with layers.
