As others have stated, probably a spring nearby feeding the clear water. The water is probably colder from the spring, making it more dense. That is what is causing the separation between the clear and muddy water.

A separation like this happens because of a spring, which pushes cold (more dense) water against warmer water. Usually an effect which doesn’t get much attention, as it’s rather invisible. The bigger the temperature difference though and the smoother the spring flows, the cleaner the separation in between the waters. Here the swamp water is A) muddy and B) warm enough and the spring water cold, slow and clean enough to make this division so beautifully sharp. It really is amazing and rare because of all these factors. Thanks for sharing!

It creates some really interesting ribbons in the bay near Homer.

Several places in the north Carolina mountains have salt deposits reaching ground surface area's. It is possible that is why the water is separated. Dont have to be connected to the ocean. Took a second and looked at salt deposits in Alabama and there is quite a few inland county's there that have salt deposits. Look up salt deposits inland in Alabama and about 7 8 county's have them. There’s places in the arctic waters where freshwater mains freeze into stalagmite type formations because of their higher freezing point.
I would speculate that maybe there’s a different makeup of water between the sides. But where they merge there appeared to be enter mixing, so I’m guessing there’s a source adding the muddy water and a minuet current in there thus allowing it to slowly move across as a unified front.

Where the Sacramento and American rivers come together in Sacramento ca. there is a clear line of division just like this and the temperature difference is huge like 10-20 degrees atleast. One river comes from the mountains and is primarily snow melt so it’s freezing cold while the other is bathtub temperature nature is impressive in certain areas throughout our beautiful planet thank you earth.

@@NOCON7ROLL Upon further research, I have come to know that there is not, in fact, a division like this in the ocean. It is actually a phenomenon that happens near certain rivers merging into the ocean or from fresh glacier water merging with salty ocean water. Many people mistakenly believe that the famous pictures and videos and two oceans meeting while in fact they are not two oceans. By the way, I didn't say the Quran was the first time mention it, I just said it mentions it, which is still true, just not quite in the way that we thought 😅. I will post the verse shortly.

      20. Between them is a barrier so that none of them can transgress. (Chapter 55)

Im not an expert so i say this is probably rare that this spotted happen not in the sea. But yes, there is this "density boundaries"(quora gave me this name, tough i cant search density boundaries with result that i wanted) where 2 kind of water doesnt mixed up because density differential.

  • @luisharrington5538

Convergence my friend somehow the density of one to the other was enough to keep the churned water separate. My guess is whatever is in the silt of the churned muddy water has changed it to a heavy PH. 🤷🏽‍♂️ just a thought.
