In summary, the three areas that Musk suggested were:
    1. AI
    2. Genetic medicine
    3. Brain integration/enhancement products

The fact that he's not a good speaker doesn't say anything at all. Leo Messi can't say four words in a row without stuttering, however he's the greatest football player that ever lived. @mohmadismael9684 5 лет назад +164

@Lau taro I am not using the word "genius" in its academic meaning and certainly not referring to his IQ points
however, is Elon's success a matter of luck? I don't think so
you can't create the first online payment system and then run an electric cars company and actually make it successful while creating the first ever reusable rocket and cuting the expenses of space travel to 1/10 of its cost by luck.
      luck can't do that
      this is just not luck.
      it is obviously not luck.
the fact that some people are more capable of detecting patterns does not make them nearly as geniuses as Elon.

Neurogenic or acquired stuttering occurs after a definable brain damage, e.g., stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, or head trauma. It is a rare phenomenon that has been observed after lesions in a variety of brain areas (Grant et al. 1999; Ciabarra et al. 2000).
what elon is doing is not really stuttering tho. its more of him being a perfectionist regarding formulation so he rethinks his entry point on a lot of sentences and statements. real stuttering comes from damage to the language part of the brain, so the brain has to partially learn to talk with a different part ill suited for the task.

Gerrit Visser No some people just speak slowly. Their brain takes longer to process thoughts into speech or words. It’s called slow processing speed. So you might have to read over a question or problem multiple times before understanding what it means. These people get extra time during exams too. Doesn’t correlate to levels of intelligence though. Many very intelligent people have this. Elon though could just be a slow/poor speaker in general.

The more people who work on resolving this situation, the faster we will likely find a solution. What Elon talks about is equally important in the long run (and personally, I think I would have enjoyed working in those fields more), but we're not "running out of time" the same way we are with environmental challenges.

Notice how he talks about fighting Dementia and Alzheimer's 3 years ago ("If he was 22") and just recently suggested Neuralink could be used to send Electromagnetic pulses to fight those and other brain disorders as well. This man is on a great mission.

He's saying we're essentially superhuman with computers as an extension of ourselves but we still need the computers to be superhuman. I believe he means we should be working on merging our brains with computers and expanding our consciousness so we are superhuman all of the time. I probably didn't explain it well but I hope it helped.

More like, we are limited with computers due to the inputs and outputs between us and it. That is the bandwidth issue. Speed up that communication link by linking directly to the computer.
