Make sure to attach the hose when the pump is off and once it’s on and plugged in to twist the top black piece to let air out and prime the pump. Once water starts spraying out you can close it.

How do you VACCUM using the small circle port instead of the skimmer?

Hi!!! I just got a new house and I’m going to open my pool for the first time this week!! I mistakenly didn’t schedule an opening, and everywhere around here is booked until late June!! :(. So I guess I will have to open my pool myself!! I am trying to learn everything from youtube!! But super nervous!!
Thanks for the video!! It helped me a lot!! One question…do u need to shut off the pump before u can move it to skimmer (instead of main drain). I saw in another video, they said u should only turn any handles only when pump is off? Thanks!!!!
Also, If u can do a video on starting ur filtration system (like how to initially prime ur pump), that would be Super helpful!! Haha

Hello, nope, no need to shut off this pump. I adjust it all the time depending on where I want more suction to be at. I only shut it off to clean the filters . Thanks for the video idea!

one way to avoid not being able to use your pool because everyone is booked, is to not close your pool.

Why have a basket in the skimmer if when you vacuum there is no basket. So all the big stuff goes right into the system and could potentially clog the pipe?

Well if you stay on top of cleaning your pool then you are only sucking up a few leaves and dirt, hardly something that could clog the pipes. If your pool is that dirty where that is a concern, hire a professional. Thanks for commenting!

Hi, my skimmer valve looks like yours but is not marked. How do I know which side is full skimmer?

Hello, All the ones I’ve seen look like mine. It doesn’t mean that it can’t be different, but all have looked like mine. Thanks for watching!

maybe try turning off one side, and see if the skimmer stops sucking water. if it does stop, you know that pipe goes to the skimmer. then take your hand, and grab a marker, and label the pipes accordingly

Why don’t you show us how to turn on the pump to vacuum. Not just installing the vacuum and the hoses. We need to know how to turn on.
