I initially got this with the intention of using it as a big crash, as I tend to not like thin ride cymbals. But, I ended up using it as my ride when I joined a classic rock cover band since I was trying to minimize my setup. It works so well in that genre, and as a crash that it's become my favorite cymbal that I own. You made a great decision here. I wish they made this in 24" too though 😫
