I listened to the cast recording and I fell in love with the music. Deeply underrated show. I also love how thicker Sting’s Geordie accent becomes when he starts singing the song, intentionally.
STING is amazing!! So much talent in varied areas of entertainment! And a fine actor also!! Such a great accomplishment... with Trudie at his side the whole way and all his very talented (and self accomplished) children wish their dad well, I'm sure. Good show you lucky sod!!
I LOVE this video sooooo much!! Not only because Sting's performance is so amazing, but because the cast members are watching him with such reverence.....I especially love the guy videoing it all in the back middle ~ and my favorite it the mustached guy in the back row behind the priest and lady in red dress....LOVE This ~ and hope to see it live in NYC one day maybe.
if this ever tours and comes to Calgary I will be first in line. I get teary eyed just hearing the Geordie accent. My Mam is from Wallsend so this hits close to home.
I saw the pre broadway production in Chicago and it was amazing. Was thinking of seeing it again in New York but just learned that it has unfortunately closed. Thank you to Sting for a great show and a wonderful score. Bravo sir!
I hate that this didn't make it... when the album The Last Ship became available (The Sting album not the musical soundtrack) I was ecstatic to learn that he would be making a musical out of at least bits of the album... It seems to have been quite wonderful... maybe after a couple of years it will revive
The music there and the music in the show is a lot different, there were dramatic changes. As someone who fell in love with the music he released before the show, I was jarred by it.
Wouldnt you? why would you want to give your hard earned money to a _fucking_ family that did nothing to live in incredible wealth and be mantained by the working class. Thats why George Harrison created *TAXMAN*
Proud to be a Geordie, I've heard the entire crew put on a fantastic performance.
Got to love Sting and Jimmy Nail.. Ho'way the lads!

Shame the play didn't make it. I would've certainly bought a ticket if it would've been nearby.

Saw the show last weekend. It truly was fantastic. Just beautiful. I don't know why it didn't make it. Poor marketing? Either way, bravo, Sting.
If it's not American, or Disney, it's not going to make it...
I really wanted to see this play but sadly it was pulled before I could. Why was it pulled. It should be touring the world.
Without her I wouldn't be here lol...
Cause he's running away from taxes

I'd pay half my salary for a month to see this live. Why did they not make a DVD of it 🙁
My love❤
