One of my favorite videos! The BBC One Show’s interview was unique to say the least. Great to see Sting comfortable interacting with the hosts. The classroom piece was absolutely a fantastic segment! Great to see Dom, too.
Sting is a legend,he has written so much amazing music and for people who think he is arrogant or full of himself well he has every right to be.There is nothing wrong with self belief when you have achieved all the things that Sting has managed to.And it sounds like he was an excellent teacher as well and very kind.I really can't understand the negativity towards him,he has achieved so much and managed to keep on writing so much good music which is no mean achievement.
Ana Martins. sting actually does seem quite lovely if i’m honest. all stars are held on a unattainable pedal stool to be perfect constantly. It is rather unfair i think.
the song is about a "practical" arrangement, but it is one of the most, most romantic songs I have ever heard in my life....I just turned 50 and I listen to tons of songs....Sting's God's gift to us...
Sting was genuinely touched to see his former pupils, what a beautiful moment, he was such a caring, thoughtful teacher who never forget about those kids
Sorry to hear about the loss of Kevin. Sting gave such a wonderful tribute to him didn't he and how wonderful to have this footage and for him to have been singled out by Sting as being very special 💓
@@andrearadford8280 Thanks for your kind words..he had it tough as a kid but even that didn’t stop him from trying to make us all laugh..that’s how he got his nickname Rigsby. Always smiling n laughing and was a great Goal Keeper and later he became an urban legend as a bus driver…gonna miss him.
Grandissimo Sting!!! Sting once said "music is a journey". It's great to make this journey with him and I look forward to listening to the new album....
Wow! Some beautiful chords... fantastic arrangement (OOPS) and beautiful words that really ring true in todays world............. will look forward to your Album Sting. thanks so much for this..... just the song I needed. love from Australia
wow! ok...............i did not expect that.............brilliant...Sting............I have fallen in love all over again....cross your fingers that I get to interview him on March 12, 2014.
Truly touching song and interview. It was a great idea to go to Cramlington, but some former pupils don't get a chance to speak or be seen clearly. Sting shows many subtle sides here, but his face during the song is amazing: it feels like we are seeing a weathered legend, of the Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash or Cesaria Evora type. Good luck, Mr Sumner.
and the song has been cut from the actual stage show? the duet takes it to another level. Get the super de luxe CD, great songs throughout. the show is in preview in New York , now , official launch 26th Oct #14. Its going to be the best , possibly ever show in Theatre land , The Last Ship.
I love this whole idea - and love sting for all he has done. I actually hope a movie, an English movie, will come out of this! Think Billy Elliot + the Full Mounty

I love Sting's albums: from Outlandos d'Amour all the way to Ten Summoner's Tales (he started to lose me after that). Why do so many musicians get so safe and dull as they get older? His passion and fire appears to have faded long ago. By the sound of this song, instead of looking forward to the new album, I'm slightly dreading it. Just saying.
Sting and Noel Gallagher come across in the same way in interviews, similar backgrounds which they advertise especially the "we didn't have a pot to piss in" aspect of their early lives, but they both also display a self congratulatory smugness of"Look at me I'm great".
ralph34570 Yes your 100% correct. When sting was in the police he tried to hide where he was from and even changed his accent. Now as his career is on the slide he suddenly is all proud of where he is from !! Very strange
His name is Chris Evans and for some unfathomable reason, he is a very busy presenter on various BBC platforms. Can't stay in the same room as his klaxon voice.
Greatest musician for the last 50 years.
One of the best interviews I have seen him do ❤ he can come across very shy .
Such a lovely song..❤

Dude, sting. I cried my eyes out. There's never been a song more fitting for me. And I know that means it's songwriting at its finest.
yes, it probably is. At least, for me. As I think about it, he incredibly depicted - and accompanied me - through my youth, till today.
Sting was genuinely touched to see his former pupils, what a beautiful moment, he was such a caring, thoughtful teacher who never forget about those kids
As much as we were to see him again...
Sting's best song in 12 years!
RIP Kev ...Rigsby my brother..you helped make my childhood as wonderful as it was...

Truly put tears in my heart
A song that applies to some of us..
It goes really in depth once u think of a self dedication...
Thx Sting
Peace
Grandissimo Sting!!! Sting once said "music is a journey". It's great to make this journey with him and I look forward to listening to the new album....
A wonderful interview showing Sting's different and less known side. Great song too !

....Sting´s God´s gift to us ...... you say what my heart feels !
Hauntingly beautiful song...bravo.
Watching now in 2016. Fantastic.
Awesome show, thank you for uploading! How heart warming to see Sting's former little pupils and how nice ist must have been to see them again :)
It was ...We had a great time :)
I love how Sting’s accent changes to ‘Geordie’ after speaking with them so cool.
So awesome, Sting! Your voice IS beautiful. Namaste

WOW. Moving performance...
Love this song, I love sting.!!!!!
Yes, what a song!!!
Sting is great!
Thanks, that was gr8.
Too Late because I already love you. Once upon a time there was you! ❤️☔️❤️
Thank you for sharing! Can't wait for the new album

We all couldnt as there wasnt the time...but hey we all got to see each other...pity our old school is being demolished for houses.
@@XXLaffinGravyXX sorry to hear that. Happened to my school too. Did your school get demolished? What subjects did Mr Sumner teach? ty
Sting looking younger than his pupils, that’s the yoga folks
Plus a near billion in the bank. Keeps ya fresh!
never get tired on him...
Love this song ❤😊
Amazing...as usual.

Magic.
Am I asking for the moon?
*Sniff*
Is it really so implausible?
*Sniff*
That you and I could soon
*Sniff*
Come to some kind of arrangement?
I'm not asking for the moon
*Sniff*
I've always been a realist
*Sniff*
When it's really nothing more
*Sniff*
Than a simple rearrangement
With one roof above our heads
*Sniff*
A warm house to return to
*Sniff*
We could start with separate beds
*Sniff*
I could sleep alone or learn to
*Sniff*
I'm not suggesting that we'd find
*Sniff*
Some earthly paradise forever
*Sniff*
I mean how often does that happen now
*Sniff*
The answer's probably never
*Sniff*
But we could come to an arrangement
*Sniff*
A practical arrangement
*Sniff*
And you could learn to love me
*Sniff*
Given time
I'm not promising the moon
*Sniff*
I'm not promising a rainbow
*Sniff*
Just a practical solution
*Sniff*
To a solitary life
I'd be a father to your boy
*Sniff*
A shoulder you could lean on
*Sniff*
How bad could it be
*Sniff*
To be my wife?
With one roof above our heads
*Sniff*
A warm house to return to
*Sniff*
You wouldn't have to cook for me
*Sniff*
You wouldn't have to learn to
*Sniff*
I'm not suggesting that this proposition here
*Sniff*
Could last forever
*Sniff*
I've no intention of deceiving you
*Sniff*
You're far too clever
*Sniff*
But we could come to an arrangement
*Sniff*
A practical arrangement
*Sniff*
And perhaps you'd learn to love me
*Sniff*
Given time
It may not be the romance
*Sniff*
That you had in mind
*Sniff*
But you could learn to love me
*Sniff*
Given time
HAHAHAHAAAA!
Cocaine blues.
really great interview
Very beautiful.
Sting has the sexiest voice!
I deeply love him
bellissimo
wjat a song simply brilliant song
That was actually a very good song, Very moving. I'm surprised, I thought a slow song to piano wouldn't be good but it is and he sings it well too
He's gone so mellow . great to see
Rest easy Kevin.
I knew him for 51 years and will miss him for the rest of my days...but i will always have his laugh n smile in my head.
waooo thank u for this videooooooo
On the one hand I respect his honesty "I'm too vain."
On the other he has the money where he can afford not to care what others think.
que lindo es saber que tus ex alumnos te recuerdan con admiracion y cariño
Great to see Sting so humble cause he's normally so far up his own arse.
Cool sting
What a beautifull guy !
That man is like Lagavulin...the older, the better.. WOOWW
Sting saying stotty cake with a proper Geordie accent made me laugh 😂
You can take the lad outta Newcastle, but you cannit take the Newcastle out the lad.
If your asking for the Moon, make sure it's on a night you catch it hanging low.
My Guru, my Love....
Как же красиво он стареет...
Strange that Sting looks better than his former students.
❤

except for dead mans boots and the last ship lyrics
No one has the voice, talking or singing, that Sting was born with.....so recognizable!

Christ it must have be very noisy living at the end of that street shown in the clip can you imagine? it must have been hell on earth.
Can't that host just let Sting speak???
His name is Chris Evans and for some unfathomable reason, he is a very busy presenter on various BBC platforms. Can't stay in the same room as his klaxon voice.

The Police ❤️
Does anyone know if that is Andy Summers playing guitar on that song in the video??
It wasn't.
looks like red hook Brooklyn.
Awesome show. But the song was really not up to the mark. But then again as a musical this might work. Loved the 'Pupils' part.
yep we enjoyed it.. :)
I knew you like ginger:)
ok
Alternate title: Sting ,a douche bag arrangement.
who is sting he certainly can't SING.
Who is Sting? Don't embarrass yourself with ignorance and do some research.
