This man just oozes nothing but tranquility & even more...class. Just a cool icon with a soothing intelligent voice to make one gravitate to. He's simply amazing
At nearly seventy, this man is still so lovely to look at and listen to.
Well yes!
I love this man in particular and the UK music scene in general
@ vestspet Totally agree and he has such energy with it.
Yes indeed! He said himself…”I’m older…and like a fine wine…” Ok, so I took it out of context, but it still applies! 😊
He is full of art ❤️
11:51 her face just said it ALL
Being a fan of The Police and Sting for nearly 40 years has been so educational for me. Because of Sting, I learned about the deforestation of the Amazon rainforest. I discovered Amnesty International and the political strife in Northern Ireland. He still amazes me that he can continue to rediscover himself .
Be your own man. Rediscover yourself. The info is out there. You don`t need anyone to push you in the right direction. Climate change has always been happening, from the beginning of time.
@@yuliawalker5622 thank you. Well said!
STING ,
THE ONE AND ONLY .
my grandad used to know him. they used to play guitar etc together when they were young with my grandads other brothers, one past away and things changed and my grandad decided to not go down the more successful route with music. but will always remember him as a good old friend.
i loved this interview. i love Sting & hearing him speak & sing & play an instrument is like Heaven to me. ty for this & i subbed 6-2-2020
Still cool after all these years.
His autobiography is awesome! Stop before you start..be still my beating heart 💓
Rushing off to get that autobiography NOW!
@@lakep7798 I don’t remember the name but I believe it is black and yellow and it has a picture of him as a boy.
@@justatexasgirl5583 Thanks, I appreciate that info because I got the wrong one, lol. Mine says “Upon Reflection.” I’ll look for the other one 😊.
HAPPY 68TH BIRTHDAY STING !!!
Love his work, good to see he has so much class, knew it, but a nice reminder
A truly AMAZING artist!
I always want to hear it 🤩❤️❤️❤️
Happy Bristhday on 2 October you are awesome man 🌹 Thank you for songs I love it all.
I love this man
Just saw Sting in Atlantic City unreal show still going strong at 70.
2022 and still a huge Sting fan.
🎼🎶🎶🎸
Sting is a legend!
The real existential issue in the UK is the economy and covid, of course. Quite right a large segment of the British population is not being listened to, hence Brexit. In particular, the elderly some of whom saw struggles no one there will now... World War II, food rationing until 1955, miners coughing their lungs out, shipbuilders with lung disease from welding, a poor health system , forced emigration to Canada and Australia in the 1950s, massive unemployment even in the 80s. Why take marching orders from Merkel and Brussels?
One of his best interviews
The interviewer looks truly misserable while she is being personally serinaded by Sting. What a waste
My goal for age 70 is to be as cool, grounded, knowledgable and worldly as this man is at 70.
I love Sting and so many of his .. .and their, the Police's songs, but never went wild over Roxanne.
Thats because you are christian and are afraid of the thematic of the song.
@@majortom4543
Tombo ... I am not a Christian. Thematic is an adjective by the way and you are trying to use it as a noun. Not really your day is it?
My love
My love❤
This guy was so cool as a villain in Dune.
He likes Cyrano de Bergerac! New found respect for this dude!
70 is the new 40
He actually looks better than many men aged 35!
This man can get it 😩😩😩
I'm with you when you're Right!😉😁
Yup...STILL!! A that beard is hot, too.
He's very right about his children. If they're smart and well-educated, then they should be able to make their own way without their parents help.
Sting inspired by Cyrano de Bergerac! How smart is this guy! A la fin de l'envoi, il touche!
Interestingly Martin , Neil Diamond on his
'Thank You Australia' concert in March '76 introduces one of his , then not long released , greatest song's , 'Longfellow Serenade' , cited his own fascination with the character of Cyrano de Bergerac
as a (very) young fellow and just how it assimilated with his own thought's and vision's . . .
He should know, he was a teacher ,after all.
year?
Brilliant
🙏🏼
Listening to a rock star who flies around in a jet and using a studio that burns up energy discussing climate change is humerous. I love his music with and after the police, and he has his rights to his opinions, but sorry Sting.
Colin Wolf one person can’t change an entire system by living in a cave. Everyone in the world has to create a carbon footprint to make a living. Advocating for a change to the entire system is what he’s after, since that would actually make a difference
Teaching is SO entertaining, Sting, that you left the job as soon as you could.
Entertainment vs gigging and making millions. So many bitter, jealous kids here
Don't stand so close to me figures in his experience as a teacher 😮
Well he entertained me and my classmates ...Neil wrightson or Michael Sancaster taking the register to the office...listening to him play guitar and being taken to Newcastle Uni on a trip...and him making Mark and Stephen Wade massive conical crowns for the Nativity play . So yerh he entertained and never forgot us through out the years. Buying Kev new trainers and taking him for tea and actually giving him a decent meal that his family couldnt afford.
Eve Jackson is a delight..
We love Sting xx we miss you too...Roxanne.....
Angie D
He’s not dead.
Rock Saint.
did bono tell him what to say!
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
So many of those early police songs aren’t police somgs at all but rather songs first written and recorded by Stings first band Last Exit
He needs no tattoos being cool.
He is not cool but sovereign.
What is the name of that little guitar that's too big to be a ukulele? I've never seen one anywhere else, including music stores.
It's called a lute
@@paulf2898 No, its not ...
Sitar ??
Yes it is called a lute and that's from the old days and his is made by Martin
Yes Sting, we know that the hotel is expensive....
Hahahaha I know that feeling... xD bulls**t
Sting is a bottle of well-aged yumminess, I would still have his baby.
@fooloof NEVER about the money when it comes to Sting.
Ugh of course. Such a beautiful man.
8:45 👀 🤣🤣
I think "Englishman in New York" was about Quentin Crisp if my memory serves me right.
Females don't seem to understand why boys/men love "love". Look at what they've accomplished loving "love". Music is love.
"All I have is my love of love, but love is not loving..."
Does this man even age
5:19 Englishman in New York
💫❤️💫🎶🙏🏼
6:34 Sting's sense of humour not quite finding its audience.
Totally 🤣🤣🤣🤣
She is a horrible interviewer... no personality.
Beautiful. And the bit about ‘our climate problem won’t change until policy changes among major governments like the US and China’, is so true! Thank you.
Merrily Gay Huff hello
He didn’t say China
Gosh...he is more handsome now 😍
Talented and confused, like most artists are
At what point do you think he is confused? He has more intelligence than 98 percent of the world's population.
Well, what Hotel are they in ??
It's a Premier Inn.
goin down down down!!!!
Lovely! British. Love Shaggy, and Sting. Lovely about the Englishman.
Shaggy in the same breath as Sting?
@@LeeGee Why not? Both great!
@@LeeGee Well they did do an album together. Not one of Sting’s shining moments though to be fair.
Shaggy shite 😂😂😂
@@johnmalone1713 No need to curse.
How strange how after having six kids Sting now finds it appropriate to be concerned with climate change.
😂😂😂
An indirect Lacan reference?
That ''the Office'' vibes...
Which Hotel is this in?
Some illuminati /luciferian palatial gaff.
@@thewomble1509 sarcasm was not exactly what I was looking for, please find another customer
@@rommelbhaskar That wasn't sarcasm. Go and research the music /entertainment industry you snarky get.
@@thewomble1509 if it wasn't, tell me the name of the hotel lol. I can research and do things all day long don't need your sweet talking 😂😂
lol
The interviewer lady is so boring.... no personality, poor Sting.
That's one problem of having so much money. You can't carry it with you, and you don't know where or who it should go to
Sure but better having too much is still better than too little and people have different views about passing it on.
@@mauricioamaro5698 not too much, not too little. Extremes feed one another.
I agree but what happens when you become very successful? It’s a natural consequence, Some people can’t deal with fame and money well and some can. The Clash did not, the Police did. Btw, I prefer the Clash as a rock n roll band...
@@mauricioamaro5698 Alright mate, fair enough
"Large states....the E.U."
And therin lies the truth...hence Brexit.
Citizen of the world. There’s the rub.
Silliest shoes EVER!
I like Sting, always have, but to talk about climate change and then go on a world tour seems a bit of a contradiction. Image the pollution caused , not just be his crew but the millions of people travelling to his shows.
WTF do you want him to do? Walk or swim around the world with just his bass strapped on?
Influence and the power to change things requires money.
Has he taken the "jab"?
I was going to go to one of his concerts until I found out he was requiring people to be jabbed. I was shocked since he professes to be such a health nut, and very disappointed. Needless to say, I didn’t go.
Noone noticed the dinghy shoes .....? ;)🤔🤗
¡Qué puto crack eres Sting 🙌🙌🙌🙌!
Sting is the real englishman i respect 100%. Unfortunately there are few right now,
What will they call sting when he dies?
stung.
Gordon Sumner
Stung. Past tense.
avoiding eye contact...
Tim Warner He, as you can see, can recall even the date and year he wrote his songs. He’s recalling that as he talks about his history.
عبر.
Yep. Great artist, but he's drinking the cool aide in order to stay cool, like most celebrities unfortunately. Just a fact.
Love sting music but for him to say we're leaving EU for no other reason than a colour of a passport
Is stupidity . He has no idea why or what reason people voted for britians exit from the EU
Yep, had a moment to myself then when he said that, and concluded that he has no idea about everyday British life
Musical genius, political imbecile.
Sting doesn't live in the real world like us
@@admiralackbar9307 no out of touch
And he has no idea what a pint of milk cost or cheapest place to buy it . When last time we seen sting in farmfoods lol 😂😂😂
He has more idea about life than the morons who voted leave to destroy their economy, their livelihoods and the Union all because through ignorance they were conned by people who only cared about avoiding tax on their offshore holdings. Sad and you still won’t admit it through your foolish pride.
Sting’s out of touch. He’s been too long caught up in the kind of dilemma that Steve Martin illustrated in “The Jerk.” Namely; ‘cat juggling.’
He doesn‘t know, that the climate has been changing since million years
10.30 he is so out of touch of the reality of people loosing their culture and more in UK and putting it down to a passport colour is just so sappy and snobby
So, Sting is ok with collectivism.
Not everyone is American
China and India.
Is she British ?
Climate Change hahahahahahaha. Pollution is just not sexy anymore.
I've been a fan, still like a lot of the work, but Sting check the real science out for God's sake! We need environmentalism, (the sane kind) but climate change? No. Bull shit. I guess the sad thing is, if you acknowledged that, you wouldn't have a following anymore. At least, it would be a lot smaller. But what do you really need these days?
oh that sting meh
Oh good if we pay more tax the weather will get better.
It's part of the solution, stop crying
What a very badly chosen interviewer... Is it just me, or do you understand a certain level of intelligence needs to be met a little closer than this?
Yes, I agree. Horrible choice, but there arent many English speaking journalists living in Paris.
Ahh nice, so it is possible to keep your sanity when you are rich and famous. Pity Sting belongs to a miority. Stay healthy, and protect yorself and your loved ones from Corona.
I want to state the terrible truth about that dress & those boots (cringe). I cannot be that Brutal, though 😈
These popstar celebrities and the climate change agenda. At least he wasn't smoking to promote the tobacco industry.
Climate change 'agenda'? And you are a scientist, Ferret?
What's up with the stupid serenading guitar. Jeez.
If anyone cared as much about the environment, as Sting claims he does, why oh why would you have SIX children? Ye gods. Love the man's talent, but please his views on anything are ridiculous.
@@williamtaylor5193 begone Satan!
It seems the same with all my favorite artists these days.
February 2021....I wonder if you are still as supportive of the EU after the whole world has witnessed their bullying tactics, protectionism and total lack of democracy. How can an institution so fundamentally prehistoric contribute to the end of global warming???
Arrogant
