TALKING MYSELF INTO DECLUTTERING A PALETTE - didn’t go as i expected

- I genuinely wanted to declutter my morphe m 35, one of the oldest eyeshadow palettes that i have, but what started as a simple declutter turned into a new project!
Hi guys, looks like my audio at the end got mixed or doubled down? i have no idea idea why it happened, but I am looking into that! Meanwhile, the gist what i was saying: i was reluctant to repress my eyeshadows with alcohol because of i slightly ruined my blendbunny eyeshadow, and Morphe shadow was not exception - it got hard panned immediately after drying out. so Instead i came out with the new project : palette story in 100 looks - As the name suggests i will declutter in after 100 looks , I will update you after each 25 looks, and count 1 look only if i useat least 3 colors from a palette!Thanks for your patience!
I don't know where this souping with alcohol comes from... Just spread the eyeshadow out and spray one (1) spritz of makeup disinfectant over it. That's enough, it will add the tiniest hint of stickiness to make repressing easier and not alter the formula.
@@StrangeQuack which makeup disinfectant you would recommend? Because the alcohol I used failed me 😭
@@the-Artup I just got a big bottle from Isoclean (Antibacterial Makeup Spray), you can use it on anything to disinfect, it even kills candida albicans on lipstick and creams.

Omg I have this palette too but I absolutely hated mine! I was so intrigued and loved how the Boss Mood palette looked. I got it in 2019 when I was still learning how to apply shadow and at first I thought it was just my skill level, but I tried it a few years later when I was better at makeup and it’s still just as chalky and patchy. The mattes wouldn’t blend on me, the shimmers didn’t pick up on a brush or my finger! I loved the color story so it was disappointing. Truly the worst palette I have and it totally turned me off from Morphe, I never bought anything from them again! But I’m so glad yours got some love!!! Mine is going to eventually be in a video where I try on all my worst makeup at once and see if I can make it look okay 😂😂😂
wow, I got mine at the end of 2018 and also was captured by a color story, It also was my 1st "serious" makeup palette, so I'll tru to get some use of it.Truth be told, i haven't used it at least for 1,5 years, so maybe eventually i'll just declutter it as it is.

The eyeshadow look is tropical and fun ♡ Loved that you decided to step away from your comfort zone and got more confident with colour! Suits you so well. I will be depotting some of my palettes and I am scared because my shadows most of the time break while taking them off the palette... Wish you could tell me some advices please ❤

@@the-Artup I have cardboard palrttes but I'd like to know your advices for both! Your eyeshadow pans look untouchable and fit so perfectly back in the eyeshadow palette. That is such a good job becaude you can pull them out so easily
@@stormofapril the following method will work if there is a little bit of gap between the eyeshadow pan and place they are in, if they sit super tightly to the cupboard or plastic packaging, it will be really hard to get them out . But that luckily happens rarely. What you'll need is steardy thread or flat floss, small plastic piece 1 cm * 1cm, thin edged spatula/crochet hook/ dental hook cleaning tool smth like that and rubbing alcohol . Insert plastic piece in the gap between packaging and eyeshadow , bent it over the shadow to protect from alcohol spillage, and pour alcohol in the gap to loosen the glue.Usually i do it several times, then push the tread between plastic and gap, with the tool wrap i around the bottom of eyeshadow, and by slightly pulling the ends of the threads in opposite direction close the loop at the bottom as if you are cutting through the glue.Do it slowly an it should work. to get the hang of it, maybe try on the shadows that you don't like ....if you still have questions, let me know!

Hey, I think you have an issue in your video at the end. Then you speak like 3 or 2 times at the same time and kinda reapy after the "other". Sth like a cannon
So sorry for that, the actual video doesn't have this issue, i will look into that!
