This quick release plate is convenient! The camera is attached to the tripod quickly and is very good! I also have four because it is convenient. The video was very interesting! I will come to play again. With love from Japan :)
So true! I did this with all my gear. 4 tripods of different brands, monopod, motorized slider, glidecam, all use same quick connect manfrotto system. I keep the small plates on my cameras and can swap out to different supports quickly. And its very stable!! Do it. You'll be glad you did.
good explanation! Many people oversee aspects like compact setup for travel or big lenses. For the monitor there are smaller quick release plates (which also save some weight) from smallrig. You may check it out.
Great video an explanation - moving forward we purchased these base plates for our Manfrotto Monopods and other gear. Just wondering how you attach quick release base plate to Manfrotto base plate? What screw size and how did you do this. Thankyou kindly.
Hi Jo, my tripod does not have Manfrotto, it uses the Pergear TH3 Pro DSLR Camera Tripod Ball Head. Can you please recommend me a plate I could use with this head and the Zhiyun Crane 2? I appreciate your help.
the 323 as seen in this video is not compatible with manfrotto fluid video tripod heads. I'm sitting here and there is no solution. the locking pin that sticks down prevents the plate from sliding in, there is not enough room underneath the locking pin and the fluid head for the pin to be in the "unlocked" position
The adapter you are showing is very limited. If the base is too wide, the adapter will not fit. Part of the adapter under the safety lock is lower and will get caught on the base and the adapter will be uneven on the base. I see you have the lower part dangling on the back of the base. Now you can’t move it forward to balance your camera and it will be back heavy. You should have mentioned that. That is a deal breaker.
Can you tell me what is the distance in mm between the screw in the center for mounting and the lever's nut that makes the bottom of this adapter non flat (outer edges of both)? it's a really stupid design I don't know how they couldn't see that they needed to make it flat. knowing the distance would help a lot thanks.
I have the same issue. I just read about this Oben QRA-R2 which looks like it fixes that issue that is on the original Manfrotto design. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/822445-REG/Oben_QRA_R2_QRA_R2_Quick_Release_Assembly.html/reviews
My guy pulled out an entire arsenal for this video.

Very useful thanks - but I'm wondering how to connect the adapter on to the camera body when it's in a cage?
Connect the plate to the cage.
Thanks for the tip I really needed that!

Hi, thank you for the video! Do you know if there is a solution using this system that would allow the attachment of your gear to the backpack strap?
Very informative and well made video. Thank you.

323 does not fit the 502ah tripod plate. It’s a bad fit and balance is off!! Don’t try it
