    This video was more helpful that the instructions from Propex. Mine wasn't working because I had the power cable plugged into the wrong port, information that is not in the Propex instructions.

    Thank you so much. I have been following a number of Van Life type videos and looking for good advise on heating. It seems that Mr Buddy is the heater of choice, which actually frightens me, as I have camped, RV'd, lived in remote camps, cabins and lean 2's enough to respect the warnings on such heating devices. My ex used a portable propane heater in our shop for a number of years, which adversely affect his health. I am not ready yet to build out a van but when I do, I will know how to source good information. Thank you again.

    I am now at the end of third month using HS2800.. it's works great and is very cost effective with propane compared to other heaters I've used.. it is fairly loud when it runs but not intolerable.. yes it does wake me sometimes at night but over all I sleep through the night more often than not.. I've installed it temporarily in a trailer, it's fully open so I do hear the 'mechanical' parts as well as the fan blowing but in a few months I will be ready to install it in my RV (which I bought it for) and it will be totally inclosed in a cabinet with sound insulation around it so a good portion of the noise I hear now will be much lower.. (I have experimented by covering it with a sound insulated wood box so I know how much different it will be when I install in RV)

    Is there a problem with running it at high altitude (3000 meters- 9000-11,000 feet)? And if so can the fuel mixture be adjusted?

    What thread is the gas inlet? The piece that my hs2000 came with doesn't seem to fit. I doubt I just have to use lots of sealant!

    Hi, could you tell me please how much smoke is going outside from exhaust pipe? Will it be seen in the winter time or summertime that is something's going on in the van? I am asking as I am planning a kind of stealth camping, and sometimes I might be parked on public roads. And another question, how far the gas bottle could be from the heater in term of pressurewise? Thanks.

    A quick question......can you run only the fan on the Propex heater? I was planning to install two vent fans in my RV, so that I could get good circulation, without having a window or door open. So my question is can the Propex heater run in fan mode only to draw fresh air into the cabin and separate fan, roof mounted fan be used to exhaust air out of the rv?

    • @rvworldstore
      @rvworldstore  6 лет назад +2

      Hi Heather. Yes you can run the heater on fan mode only. It will just re-circulate the inside air unless you have the cool 'cabin air' feed coming from outside. I don't recommend drawing your cabin air from outside because then you will pressurise the inside cabin air and heat will be forced out the roof vents (if it has passive ventilation holes).

      He asked how many watts. Not how many volts. We would need to know the amp draw to figure out the watt consumption.

    I'm looking at making a sauna..
    How HOT do you think heat from a ProPex HS2800 (6500 BTU/hr) into a 64 cu. ft space would get? Do you think it would reach 180F?

    • @2cyclebikeraricstreet195

    • @TheHumanSoundSystem
      @TheHumanSoundSystem 3 года назад +2

      if you can wire up your diesel heater to the diesel tank then you are laughing. no need to refil or move big gas tanks!! but to each their own. my van came with this heater so thats what i go with

    Can you install the propex on top of a wheel well ?

    • @rvworldstore
      @rvworldstore  6 лет назад +1

      Hi Dugg. I expect probably not. The heater is mounted to the floor. Under the heater there are 2 hosetails that you connect your inlet & exhaust pipes onto. I don't expect there will be enough space between the wheel and the wheel-well.

    What would be your propane usage rate pounds per hour

    • @rvworldstore
      @rvworldstore  6 лет назад

      Hiya. The HS2000 uses 142 g/hour. I'm sure Google has a search engine conversion tools to convert grams to pounds.

    • @Scrambler85
      @Scrambler85 6 лет назад

      .313 lbs. Per hour is not bad if it doesn't run for the entire hour

    Here in England you would soon be broke with a propane heater . 13 kg ,$40 US ! I must be honest, it is much cheaper in Germany and Morocco . Here we use Diesel heaters. the Best Known is the Epersbacher. Also Webasto and Alden. Cheap to run, Almost Silent ,( Click from the pump) , SAFE ( No gasses or condensation) . New Chinese Copies. They are Cheap & Good !

    • @marcass100
      @marcass100 9 месяцев назад

      condensation???🤨do you think its the same principle as a bloody hob burner? 😂 its the same principle as you diesel heater and has a separate combustion chamber from air circulation so not sure where would you get a condensation from?..

    • @skapunkoialternativeliving6522
      @skapunkoialternativeliving6522 5 лет назад +1

      @Richard Ensey that's why I watch the videos but I'll never ever by those things this cheaper ways to have more for you or power so never spent money like that that is stupid...

    • @skapunkoialternativeliving6522
      @skapunkoialternativeliving6522 5 лет назад +1

      @Richard Ensey it's nice because the good thing about it is they won't have no must but if you get to Wave 3 heater you won't get moisture either just keep your window cracked open you'll be okay but stay away from the the Buddy Heater the heat is too hot too fast in the van that creates a lot of moisture..

    Piece of shit. $900 wasted. No thank you. Once it's UNINSTALLED for the cheap diesel heater I should have bought in the first place. 11 years as a trucker the diesel heater kept me warm. I could buy 6 for what I paid for a Propex. Total garbage and terrible support.

      @@healingjourneys4241 propex. I don't remember what model. Dealer in AZ had just dropped the line because they had terrible service from the factory.
      I bought a Chinese diesel heater from Amazon for $130 and 2 winters later I'm still happy. Not with my propex experience though.
