Your skills when it comes to cars and car electronics are amazing. When you talk I listen. Love the show guys and the humor. I've been binge watching now for 3 days.
There is a better trick for Barry than higher line pressure, you cut the wire to the S3 and S4 solenoid and put a dummy resistor in place to stop the ECU throwing a fit. I believe these solenoids are on pin A17 and A18 of the ECU. These solenoids are used to dampen/prolong the shift. With those solenoids bypassed it will bang straight into each gear instantly, there is no need to up the line pressure. I did this on my Turbo AU, I know people running 10s on a stock auto who only use this trick and a trans cooler. It works, best bang for buck mod I ever did.
trick i been told for the btr auto is swap out solenoid 5 for 1 out a vp commodoor box, opens up the line pressure to full , no good for daily driving but good for burnouts and drags, info from dominator motorsport, or if you know someone who has full pcm tec to play with it , keep up the great work lads
You guys should raffle off , a passenger seat ride in Barry for us plebs that love cars and always wanted to get to the drag strip but never made it , to raise funds for the valve body!
Manualise that BTR. Dummy resistors on ecu so it dosent have a melt down, or flash to manual. Disconnect all other solenoids and it will run full line pressure. Control S1, and S2 in combination of On and Off and it will manualise the auto. S1 & S2 both on is first S1 off & S2 on is second S1 & S2 off 3rd or limp home S1 on & S2 off is 4th Best thing i did to my turbo falcon with a BTR with a $5 microcontroller to read the factory inhibitor position and select gearing to suit. Can build boost on the stall in second gear and then hit 1st and launch.
Looking the goods mate. So much work has gone into this thing after sussing it out for a few hours while you worked your tuning wand over my car last week 🤣🤣
Good stuff guys, long term maybe reducing the fleet and focus on finding the limits on the remaining ones may mean more funds/time but do whatever makes you happy at the end of the day!
Does anyone know if the oil feed and drain on a low / rear mount setup needs to be completely vertical to the ground? Obviously the oil is drained by gravity on a regular setup, but since with a low / rear mount you need a scavenge pump and both sides are pressurized, would it being not clocked exactly straight up and down or even being clocked parallel to the ground be an issue?
Thought it was pushing high, 20-30 psi is fine, ran a remote setup using a 044 but pump was constant with a regulator, had to do it this way to circulate enough oil through the cooler. There's a whole lot of flux capacitor going on here which I love for the challenge of integration but don't recommend on anything unless it's necessary. Race cars log data but use relay and switch methods to control the pumps and fans. You may as well fit a kers and hybrid mgku you've gone this far. Where's the bowls hat going to fit?
I think you can unplug the shift pressure solenoid on barry and replace it with a 10ohm 10watt resistor for harder shifts (if you just unplug it it will throw a code and go into limp), that would be a pretty cheap mod to try with barry. I still reckon you should stick the cheapest gumtree intercooler on barry that you can find, probably less than $100 for a stock falcon one. Thats a bummer about kevos box, $1000 is a lot of money to bolt on the back of a piece of shit ecotec, surely theres another way... Looking forward to see what wendy does with that ute, fingers crossed it gets a shitty rattle can flames paintjob
So much good work on the electrical, The you open up an AC system that’s in a vacuum!?!?!?!? Clearly a sparky that’s done a 2 day course... 🤦🏻♂️😂 #YouveBuiltAnACBomb
You have to put the AC system on a vacuum pump to drain it of all the air and moisture, then you fill from a tank of refrigerant. He's just proved his custom AC hoses don't leak, and you've just proved you don't have a clue... AC bombs are when you're a tight ass and use LPG as your refrigerant :P
The smart money would spend the coin on Barry, baz has way more potential than Kevin which ever way you look at it. Once barry meets Rodney, drop in a green top lpg bottom end, they have much stronger rods,
You can manualise the 4l60e yourself: jd.offroadtb.com/trans-docs/4l60e-manual-shift-conversion.pdf I've done a couple myself, put a pro-ratchet on there & it works a treat... (& doesn't cost $700!)
Why dont you fellas use it to test ways to keep it from NOT ever blowing up? Maybe you even succeed hahahaah or it just blows up! win win really hahahaha

Ah, the joys of finding and running long lengths of shielded sensor cables. Pump control seems to work well, nice one 👍
Absolutely loving all the outside the box ideas and away from the norm things you guys have put in this.

You don’t see many people consider rf and noise in wiring circuits. Good stuff!

Yeah, works great coz you have disabled s3 and S4, makes a huge difference with a BTR
Good work guys! I really can’t wait to see what the supra produces, it’s the best against the grain build going around 🤘🏼
Looking forward to see red beast roasting tires.Good work boys 👌
That is so sick how u can control that pump like that love haltech
great comradery....selling nugget garage shirts while showing off Jenny's custom works shirt..i love that you all help each other
Sounds like you’ve basically got closed loop for the oil pump, just nugget style, chunky and proportional only.
Can’t wait to see this making noise 🔥💪
Shift up then down. Doesn’t wanna come to the party. 🤣👌👍

Just put a Hall effect sensor on the driveshaft , a pushbikes wheel Speedo will work . That gps will not allow for acceleration .
What coils are you using pls? Need advice. Thanks.
Excellent work guys.
any bigger cam, porting as well
Awesome. Loving these builds. Great work

I love these vids keep em coming boys, also i may have an idea thatll help ya out
Interested in a couple of those oil pumps myself, you guys have a link to them by chance?
Hey guys, I the IO expander outputs are definitely PWM capable.
Weird, they dont for some reason. Will give haltech a call.
I'll be your friend Scott😁
Looking Awesome 😎
Good luck boys
Fukn hell Hoff is a electronic whizz kid looks 👌
Please add "BURNOUT WAREHOUSE" t-shirts to the store
very impressive
I'll take Barry!! Great work boys..
Been waiting 🍿🍿🍿🥃

Great work as usual fellas, glad you could find the time to make the content for us to enjoy

They will for money 😉 I've got mine 👌
@@mazcatii yes, we can !
I have no friends either 🙈
Yeah!!
Doesn’t matter what mods it’s got...if it ain’t got AC it ain’t worth driving.😂

Fit a full manual controller to the BTR. they shift 400x better shiftkits.com.au

Haha nah just a random number on the new laptop. I seen the vid before chris uploaded it figured someone would figure out even though it was blurry.
