Perhaps I'm just showing my bias having grown up in Victoria in the 70's but the Cs never looked better than they did in their original VR livery in my opinion.
at 3:53 i notice a couple of 86 class locos with their pantographs down. are they just getting a free ride to somewhere or are they plugged in to the c and the traction motors are helping climb the grade. i'd imagine it's just a free ride. can they be combined with diesel-electric locos if need be?
Question, are DPU’s controlled by radio and if so, do you know what band/frequency and what type? ie: FM or digital? I assume analogue would be out of the question. Great videos. I am such a railroader fan & have been all my life. Please keep it coming.
Australian National Productions AOK, appreciate connection with query & your response. Great videos. Probably the best I have seen from around the globe! Keep it up. You are very much appreciated.

Great to see C501 still in VR livery, brings back good memories.
Love the yellow/black SSR livery on the C class. Looks so good!
Powering up Warrenheip bank with 2 of these monsters, for the first time, Scorcher at the throttle, was an experience never forgotten.
What’s the VR livery c class doing in new south?
Great video

Did C501 ever venture into Sydney with its VR Livery?
Thomas Bulic I’m not sure but it will be in March this year

Depending on where and when, DPU can be controlled by a driver/engineer or by a Digital radio
Thanks for that. Can you tell me any more about the radio, frequency, modulation?
@@DeansHome1 hi sorry, I don't know the answer to that
