BBC footage of Westminster Hall showed Beckham, who met the Queen several times during her 70-year reign, looking tearful as he waited to file past her coffin. Stopping to pay his respects at around 3.25pm, Beckham bowed his head and closed his eyes momentarily

People saying he did this for publicity, well maybe he did. However David Beckham does not need to stand in a queue for 12 hours to get attention, he could get that attention anywhere, he is one of the most recognised people in the world, and if you have travelled you would know this.
Maybe, just maybe he was showing his respect for the Queen.
He was a really average footballer but he has a world class agent. Agent told him to do this. Beckham is truly thick.

He is not a man of honor because he sold his soul to Qatari sheiks for quick buck

The man was born and raised pretty much the same as most of us in this country
The difference is he had an exceptionally talent as a footballer
It Doesn’t mean he doesn’t think or feel the same as the rest of us when we lose somebody or something close to us
The guy is probably more passionate about his queen and country than most of the people in this country could imagine
Always respected the guy and always will

The security themselves asked if he wanted a "short-cut" in the cue. Yet he still insisted he waited 12 hours since 15 minutes past 2 in the morning - and people call it a publicity stunt. I'm not the biggest fan of Beckham but this is certainly upping my respect for him, simply mourning like the rest of the nation and paying his respects.

What an inflated ego.The way you show respect to the queen is by allowing the queen and the queen only to be centre of discussion in the media during this mourning time. There was absolutely no need for that man to queue for 12 hours. Self serving.
Such a mediatic individual should have kept a low profile instead. And to hear that security guards offered him to jump the queue is frankly disguisting. What a world we live in.....

For all those who are saying empty coffin, I don’t think the queen would ever jeapordise her reign of so many years and her credibility by wanting to fool everyone by laying in a empty coffin, remember she arranged her funeral before she passed, so it’s not difficult to believe that she is in it., it’d never be kept a secret, somewhere someone would talk and expose and that would disgrace the whole of the monarchy.
I'm not sure how an empty coffin might "jeopardise her reign" . That finished the second she passed away.... and I don't see how she could "fool everyone by laying in an empty coffin" because it wouldn't be empty if she was laying in it.
Just leave him and anybody else alone. He's human and deserves to pay respects to the Queen liked everyone else.
The man deserves as much respect for himself as he also shows, yet again, how much he shows respect.
No-one actually knew he was in the queue until many hours later as he covered his tattoos and wore a mask. The people around him exposed him on social media.

He is obviously not in need of publicity. He did this out of respect and honour for her Majesty. His beloved Queen.
