Nice one Derrick, gettin some good Gurnard and Tarakihi down here lately but the weather gods have been conspiring against me of late.
Looking forward to the warmer weather to chase some Kingi's at Kapiti, will keep you posted.
Loving my F16 bro, best thing I ever did.
    Cheers, Ian.

Nice one Derrick. I do like those carrots but you need to target them some more! 50cm is definitely good I I have seen (and caught) them a little bigger. Try the Manukau one day as well its got a few in there :) and often target them on softbaits. I must also have a go at the Kaipara again one day myself so thanks for sowing the seed...

+Doubie26 It's a great place, the Kaipara - I've been really successful on the carrots there - def bigger on average than the Manukau.

+manaku_fishing _nz - Yeah, not bad but I'd def stick to 'flesh' baits. Pilchard, skippy, mullet (Skinned) and fresh yellowtail (skinned too). And, I cannot recommend Burley mate's 'Black stuff' bait enhancer - it's dangerous on grunters
