Great tutorial! I've decided its time to start making my own losing the pre mades becomes pretty expensive. Has anyone used this rig with the trident tackle roto clip implace of the imp clip? Is it worth spending a little more if the roto clip performs better? Cheers, from THE NAKI NZ.
No worries man it’s my go to rig for surf fishing I love how in control you are of your cast with this rig and obviously that extra bit of distance it gives me. Glad you found use in this video and thanks for taking the time to comment that really helps me out a lot. Cheers mate. 🎣
Once you’ve used this rig it would be hard to use anything else. You’ll immediately feel the difference when casting. So much more control of your cast and gaining that extra distance is definitely an advantage.
Perfect that’s the goal. Fishing is expensive enough every bit of savings can help. Glad you found it useful and please let me know how you found it working for you. Tight lines. 🎣
I have caught a whole verity of NZ fish on this rig from snapper, kingfish, cod, gurnard ( also known as sea robin ) " kahawai " or known as Australian sea salmon so species ranging from bottom feeders to top water fish have all fallen to this rig.
@@FishingAdventuresHB I am from Australia but are many Australian salmon around at the moment so seems like a good rig for me, thx for the tutorial on tying it
@@gaming-grouper2459 awesome mate yeah they are just starting to come back in, feeding on the white bait at the moment so the whole food chain is kicking in again. cant wait to get out there very soon. Thanks for the comment
You got the sinker line made from same line as the main line! You can lose the hooks and the sinker!I use a weaker line for the sinker and hooks for shock leader sinker.
Usually yes but for this rig no I won’t because when your playing a fish the pulley slides up to the sinker so if the sinker line breaks you say bye bye to your fish as well. its designed to pull the sinker up and away from any snags when fighting a fish so should not get stuck on rocks etc.
Groot plesier boeta. Geniet hom. ( big pleasure bro enjoy ) thanks for the comment and please let me know how you found this rig worked for you. Tight lines 🎣
Hi Mustafa Mahmoud. Once you Cast and the IMP clip or impact sinker hits the water it releases the hook automatically. The sand grabber sinker that I’m using in this video grabs onto the sand allowing you to keep your line tight and also ensures it stays in one place and does not get swept away by strong current. Once you get a strike on your bait the grapples on the sinker folds back and releases. This sinker is for areas with sandy bottoms and not recommended when fishing over rocks. Impact Clip can be used either way.
apropo: make some fishing vid if you can. i love those videos, especially when you run on your boat. ( i hope you still have it. (send me some PM and tell me the story Bro. you were missing so much)
Hi Brother. i thought you are lost somewhere. ... :) great to see you man. Nice tips, great vid. just doit more often pls (how are you? where have you been? etc... :)
Lol. I had a feeling that I would hear from you when I was making this video. I’ve been a bit slack on making new vids but slowly getting back into it again. I’ve started a new business selling bait now and trying to get that on its feet so has taken up a lot of my spare time. Otherwise it’s been going really well. How is things with you. Have you finished your boat yet?
@@FishingAdventuresHB the 7th sense, :) Sorry bro i forgot it. we were already talking about your new business. Thats a good news anyway. I hope you can slice a couple of mins/week . just about "i am alive etc" My project is stucked. the transom and the deck are ready, the engine is working well, ( have been bought all stuff , gauges ,seats, sterring system, e-system cables, etc but i cannot put it together. The summer just started but the weather is not my friend. i cannot paint under 15 celsius,Just too coold. Next 2 -3 weeks out. i am gonna be in Spain. I dont know how i can finish it in this summer.
@@zasti78 Very good to hear all is well with you. Hoping you find the time to finish your boat and go fishing in the summer. I will make some more fishing videos on my boat just for you. it does not get as many views on youtube as my other videos but it is something I enjoy doing so I will keep making them. We are just coming out of winter now so will be out there fishing like it's a job again in a few weeks. all the best and i will chat to you soon again.

The best pulley rig explanation
Genius!

Brilliant video. Can the smaller hook just be a slider - or is the rig with the ball-point pen tube a critical part?
Killer video finally I see how it works thanks a lot
Excellent. No bullshit no waffle, straight forward brilliant.
Cheers bro glad you found it useful.
Awesome rig presentation thnx buddy

Hi, thanks !!
Only thing I cannot work out, how does the hook clip onto the IMP when there is bait on the hook ?
When your baiting up you should always have the tip of the hook protruding out of the bait. That clip only needs that tiny bit to hold on to.
I love that Kiwi accent; long live the All Blacks!
His accent sounds more South African!
Awesome 👏 I can’t wait to try this!!

This is a really good video mate.I'm finished with buying ready mades.
Brilliant mate. Yeah bro they get quite costly and it’s so easy to do yourself. Thanks for the comment.

What is the diameter of those ball floats?
These once I used was about 3cm diameter.
Thanks for the info what fish do you target with this rig?

Great rig bro. Like like like
Handy Man Lets Go thanks bro.
Could not have been explained better.
I think the sinker is great but a real world casting test comparison would be great. Unless it's 25 metres superior why bother.
