My classics teacher played this in our class and it made people chuckle and laugh and the best part is she forgot to watch the full thing before playing it and assumed it was going to be an innocent video about the Aneid, proved her wrong.
So we have an essay in a couple of weeks about the differences between the Iliad and the Aeneid, and I had no idea. This video really helped and I can't wait to refer back to it for my essay. I really can't thank you enough for making this!
Thank you for making this. I kept zoning out when I was reading the book, because it was boring and didn't make sense. Now I'll be able to go to class tomorrow and understand what happened!
This is awesome! Thanks for the great summary! This really helps someone like me who procrastinates until the very last day that she's supposed to turn in her essay lol. Idk if people call it by different names but the Isles of the Blest is where Aeneas found his father. I think you were thinking of the Fields of Asphodel? That's where all of the people who didn't do anything heroic or noteworthy go where they wander around mindlessly for all of eternity.
Alright Rebecca, you're clearly a teacher or Professor and you're shit talking this student for making revision helpful to them self and others? Okay, that seems counter productive. The content isn't even inaccurate, she sticks really well to the plot of book 6 it's just worded informally which is actually kinda helpful to young people, this is the way me and my friends revised the Odyssey (got an A, 89% in that) and how we revise the Aeneid. Simplifying is useful and this video is going to help people remember the basic plot of book 6 because of the way it's memorable and humorous.
