Wow! I really like the blue! You are correct about the “S’s” and adding character! I think you should put a year on your stamp! That way when people find your pieces at antique shops or even in their family members’ house in 50 years, they’ll know which year to look at to find the video!
This was a neat project to watch you make! I agree that leaving the word Souls as is looks good and adds character. Also like the blue for the letters!
This be a great sign for a shoe store! Lol 😂 what’s the best way to dispose of unused resin and hardener? It’s gotten really yellow and froze then thawed cuz we had a frozen pipe and it was next to it?
I have already some epoxy in stock, does the filler resin needs to be something special or can be normal transparent epoxy? Do you think a lacker spray finishing would work?
I liked that project - especially your color mix of resin, looks amazing. :) In my opinion would it be great, if you could make your voice louder / music more quiet. Greetings
Hey Ben, I hope you're well. Any advice for learning how to taper a piece on the lathe? My Wands till now have been hand carved, but the Sith inspired one I am doing will be my first turn of a Wand Blade on a lathe and I want to get it right.
I am researching to do exactly these types of things/signs in resin and I love the glitter it was perfect choice. The souls word being kinda see through is meant to be when you think about how souls are interpreted in real life😉👌🏼. How much resin do you think you used on this sign in total?..
@@BensWorx awesome, I think I'm going to make one. I've got a 5 gallon pressure pot, but it takes so long to fill it with air, not to mention the noise. It's a lot for a small batch of resin. You're the best, thanks for all your videos!!
I like it all except the spacing on the words. If you had me do it I would put them a a more even distance to one another, because as a graphic designer the spacing on things matters for ledgability and looks. otherwise I liked the idea a lot. Type is hard I'm sure. I would have loved a varied colour or duotone glitter in there too!

Thanks Rachel, good idea 👍

It's beautiful and the glitter and gloss makes it stand out. Lovely
Thankyou :)
The blue glitter was a nice touch! Looks like blue opal or mother of pearl, and it complements the color of the wood very well. Excellent job!
Thankyou :)
Great video, especially love how you demonstrate how to carve writing without a CNC machine
Nice job and the clear coats brought out the lettering. I love the products from solar color dust and glitter hippo. You can't go wrong with them!
Thanks Ellis
Beautifully made sign Ben!! Love the color glitter you chose!
Thanks Susan
It looks great!
Had a old gumtree cut down today and now I know what to do with the pieces
Thanks! Yeah keep those slices 👍
You really inspires me, ben!
you dont know how much, you and jedrek.
Thanks Mate 👍
Love the effect of the blue glitter!
Thankyou
Very nice!! I like the blue in contrast to the wood.
Thanks Jim
Great piece after the 3 layers of resin you can't hardly tell what happened
Thanks Mark 👍
Gorgeous shine on that project very well Done
Thanks Mate
I love the blue glitter. It’s always weird to see you work with a wood that’s not burl!
My friend it’s absolutely stunning great job
Thanks Donald
So cool, I need one of those hand saw tools. I want to make one of these 😁😁😁
Thanks 👍
@@BensWorx 😁😁😁
Covering it in that resin almost makes it look like the wood is deep under a thick window, really nice effect.
Thanks Eric
I like it ya no one has a perfect soul.
Thanks Mate
This is amazing and what I've been looking for my project idea. I'm glad I came across this video, thank-you!
That came out great!
Thankyou
I like the blue glitter--really looks nice. I think I'd skip the planer step for another reason. The epoxy resin probably wreck havoc on the cutters.
👍

Lol that would be cool! I would mix it together and once hard dispose of it with your waste or maybe use it as a weight in your shop
I aspire to route so precisely. Perhaps when I have more than a dremel attachment to work with.
Great ideal of a sign
Thanks Mate
Nice work Ben, a CNC would be great for this job.
Thanks Mate
It’s beautiful. I want one
Thanks Lorissa
Very nice work !
Thankyou
May I ask what you used for a router? I liked the size.
Beautiful...its just pure art. Amazing work buddy 😉🙃 greets 🇩🇪
Thankyou
Absolutely love this, gonna have to try and do a house number sign 🤞 Really cool Ben
Thanks Mate
You didn't use hardener? I've never used resin before and would like to try it on my laser engravings. How long did it take to dry?
Nice, what type of wood did you use
I have already some epoxy in stock, does the filler resin needs to be something special or can be normal transparent epoxy? Do you think a lacker spray finishing would work?
Came out great
Thanks Mate
What is the machine called? The one that you used to cut the letters?
With more detailed letters its a good idea to trace them with a blade so the paper doesn't peel away your design.
Very Awesome!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Melissa
We tried using a router once, LOT of mess and no where near as easy as it looks. Nice one! :)
Thanks guys
Ben, have you used Mica Powder for adding color to your resin? Plus where do you purchase your material; resin, colors, epoxy?
I like that sign. 😊
Thanks Mate

I’m good thanks, I would recommend using a skew chisel, I’m currently working on a wand and will have a video out soon
Random question but is that piano song from the original Sims?
Nice one Ben! 👌Love the Ss they do add character 👍 I like the blue but would like to see it in a red also 🙂
Thanks Sas 👍
This is fantastic 👌🎉❤
Man you could do beginner's resin workshops, where you supply the materials and do a small project.
If I had more time I would definitely love to teach people
@@BensWorx if you ever do, even as a one-off, give me plenty of warning!

Thanks Mate, about 100ml
Can I ask what’s router bit you used
3mm straight flute
Nice!
Hey Ben, how is your pressure pot you made out of PVC holding up? Do you still use it?
Yeah I don’t use it often but it still works great

Cool! Very cool! Love the glittery blue! Was this your housewarming gift? Love it!
Thanks Ellen, yes it was 👍
Very nice
Thanks Shaunna
Beautiful sign, Ben. The art resin sort of made the problems with the "souls" disappear. Is this your new shop sign?
Thanks William, nah it was a house warming gift
Fantastic ben, absolutely fantastic 👍🏴
what brand is your hand held router?
Ryobi
Hope your doing ok with the wild fires Ben.
Thanks Mark, we’re doing good, we have just had a few days rain which has helped a lot
Awesome as always Mate. Quick one today (that's what she said) 🤣🤣🤣
Lol Thanks Mate
One small question, can I use art Resin for casting?
It is slightly thicker than ArtCast so I’m not sure, it’s best to run a test first
@@BensWorx cool, thanks

@@BensWorx 😉 yes 👍👍👍
Cause its end grain try running through a drum sander instead
Yeah I need to buy one of those
If you'd thickened it first it would have been better, still good sign though.
Thanks Mark
Maybe you have a soul with my name on it?
Maybe
What red head friend are u giving that to lol..
It turned out nice!
Thanks Jeffery
