If I had been a better kid, they would still be together.
Maybe if I ever sent in some myths for them to bust, they would still be making episodes
If I was more powerful and listened to them, they'd still be alive today!
It's not your fault.
@@ladymercy5275 You're just trying to make me feel better.
I swear to the almighty I spit cherry coke out of my nose about 50 yards. This comment just tickled me pink.
Two adults who do not care for each other but act professional to get the job done. Nothing wrong with that.
Steve Pounder Anyone who has ever had a boss can probably relate (AKA all of us).
Steve Pounder well said
And still managed to express himself with class and respect for Jamie. Couple of good dudes.
where did he say they didn't care for each other? Some people's personalities sometimes don't click 100%
+McBiggie1I dunno... Maybe somewhere along the 0:15 minute mark where he says "they don't get along with each other" is where he got that _crazy_ idea
I wish most people could be this mature about their emotions.
true
Relationships of all kinds would be so much easier.
Entire wars could be avoided if people were this honest about their emotions 😂
Most people can only work with someone if they like them on every level. It's why our society is so broken today. It used to be that nobody cared whether you liked your co-workers or not, so long as work got done. Today if you don't like someone, you get them immediately fired. So every workplace has people that are all identical in every respect, that think exactly the same way on every issue, and those companies flounder because they can't work with any client or customer they meet because it's an instant clash.
lt is similarly obnoxious when you're the person who is mature and someone calls you "fake" for having basic human respect and decency and the ability to put aside personal feelings in a professional setting. Just because I'd rather run you over with my car on the off hours doesn't mean I'm not going to be able to treat you with dignity on the job.

Adam and Jamie are like those parents that sacrifice their own happiness and stay together for the child’s welfare. The child is Mythbusters.
so true!
thats a thing of the past though..divorce rates are up like crazy
What? I'm dreaming? A video that actually fits with the tittle? Like... No intro/outro? No "bla bla bla"? No 10min long video explaining why they broke up? This is what i call a premium service, 10/10, like and sub
Why do you like videos so short? What is it about 10 minute videos you don’t like? Have you ever seen a 10 minute video that you do like? Tell us in the comments below.………..[EDIT]………..My initial comment wasn’t a genuine question I was expecting answers for. I was making mockery of all the RUclipsrs that blast out a pile of questions at the end of their videos in orders to get more entries in the comment section….And yes I’m aware I’m feeding that beast by doing that exact thing here.
Toori Baba *backs away as fast as humanly possible*
Dee Michaels The problem with most 10 minutes videos is that they’re stretched to 10 minutes and usually just seconds over the 10 minute mark.
Dee Michaels yes its like a disney movie 90% is filler
Agreed. The "Why *insert well known thing here*" videos that last 20 minutes are a new cancer on RUclips
I remember Adam saying how he doesn't get along with Jamie but will trust his life/safety to him.
Old comment but I thought that was a given on a show like myth busters where they could be in harms way.
@@generalharness8266 yes but even outside of the show he maintains that trust in him
He said it himself in the clip, he respects Jamie, and I'm sure has the utmost respect for his skill as an engineer and professionalism.
Remember the episode where they wrapped Adam up in bubble wrap and dropped him off a building? I think he got knocked out for a second and Jamie sounded legitimately terrified for him. Id probably trust him too even if i didnt like him lol
They have completely opposite personalities so they clashed. But because of the dynamics of the show it worked for them and they were able to get stuff done. You can see on certain episodes where they really clashed, but at the end of the day myths needed to be tested bravo for lasting 14 years.
THIS is a perfect example of how human beings should act towards each other. They don't have to like each other to get along, but they do "get along" and do so professionally.
Yeah in my science class we were doing a project and the teacher assigned our partners and one didnt want to work with his partner because they didn't "get along" and was ranting on about it while the other one was just being quiet and the teacher instantly gave the kid that was being quiet a %100
Emotional maturity being varied and how we perceive it is far more interesting than some perfect utopia.
Welcome to the real world. Most people, at times, work with people they don't like.
well they also don't exactly hate eachother
@@adamraz6377 anyone know why they don't get along? is one a slob? does one not bathe? does one make lewd comments all the time? is one a sexist pig? is one a conspiracy lunatic? why exactly don't they get along? from a sociological perspective, this question is more interesting than just find out they annoy each other... which is kinda like burying the narrative lead.
He sounds like divorced parent after 30 years of bad marriage that resulted in a couple of wonderful kids.
So which one was cheating and building things behind the others back? And with whom?
Adam, with Vsause
That's just a Myth.

What the hell do you know, chris hansen? You chase pedophiles. You dont know math, silly.
He knows just enough math to tell you what numbers are smaller than 18.
Hey. Can I take your kid out for dinner?
Too many parents teach their kids the idea they have to like everyone. Kids need to be taught that they don't have to like everyone but they need to show respect, especially to people they don't "get along" with.
doublestrokeroll respect is earned bitch
This is true, though the insult is unnecessary however I suspect you were joking and no offence was intended.

You should give every human being a certain default amount of respect and trust when you first meet them. It can go up or down from there based on their words and actions.

I agree completely.
Good response honestly. Didn’t throw him under the bus. Class act.
Because Jamie would lift that bus off the ground and beat him with it. One does nit trifle lightly with the last Walrus of Krypton
@@TheKyrix82 huh
@@AGNDAHOUSE If you watch Mythbusters, there are constant jokes and references to Jamie being alternatively, a walrus, a secret agent, or some other super being. THis was just me turning him into walrus superman to go along with that long running joke. Make sense now?
It is also nothing to throw either under the bus for. To not mesh in behaviour does not mean that you do not care for and respect the other person.

I actually think it's a great thing. I think the difference between their personalities, and that underlying tension is part of what made the show so interesting.
there goes mi childhood👋
I have missed it but I still watch old episodes and just like to think what could have been
That was perfectly honest, truthful, and straightforward. I have immense respect for that. After all, we don't have to like everyone and admitting that you don't like someone without blame or hate is a very mature, intelligent thing to do.
It's downright sad that Adam's being praised for his maturity. Not because of Adam, but because so many other people in the public eye lack even the most basic of human decencies to the point where maturity is out the window. Is being a big boy really so rare that it's a blessing when somebody acts professional? I am proud of Adam's straight-forward, non-dramatic, professional maturity expressed in this video, but I am appalled that this trait is a rarity among famous people. Hollywood folk and politicians need to sit down and take notes on this video, maybe if they still have a positive braincell count they'll learn something. We need more mature people
@@MarioTheLiopleurodon I agree. I respect Adam a lot for being straightforward about his relationship with Jamie and respectful to him, but this shouldn't feel like an anomaly. The way every public breakup, personal or professional, has been treated like it has to be for scandalous reasons or because people genuinely hate each other has somehow made the simple act of being mature and professional a rare trait. I get it, flaring emotions and scandals get more clicks and views, but its exhausting and ridiculous.
@@MarioTheLiopleurodon Yes its amazing how far common decency has fallen, I'm always shocked at how people think changing your mind is a bad thing, like people think that if you change your ideas publicly you are a weak flip flopper, when really any intelligent person would constantly challenge their own ideas and change them if their current understanding points them in another way.
@@Jake-ln6zk Men aren't men anymore. Just a bunch of angry teenage boys talking smack to each other. Back when I was active duty, if two marines had an issue with each other they would talk to each other. If they really had serious beef, we'd give them boxing gloves and have them fight each other to blow off the aggression, then make them talk. Conflicts were solved and nobody really held any grudges. Granted the boxing isn't professional, but stomping out issues and dealing with them so that nobody has any lasting grudges is. People always want a story and always want that "hey remember when you and ____ did ____?" even though you two have been cool for years.
@@saltiney8578 I would rather be wrong, get corrected, and then learn the right way instead of be wrong and not admit it. If my math work is wrong, I take it to the professor and say "I know it's wrong but idk how to fix it" instead of just being like "it's right even though it doesn't look it". Granted part of that is my desire to know, but still. People don't want to learn, they want somebody else to do it for them.
Still, managing to go 14 seasons hosting a show with someone you don't really get along with is pretty impressive.
It's about "work" not 'making friends"!
They did get along... when building stuff, which is like 75% of their show. It's probably why they managed 14 seasons together.

@@bob494949 We know that guy 🤦🏾♂️Duhh we don’t know them but a person can still feel a way after watching them for years that’s what YOU would do but you obviously care somewhat your on this video under this specific comment to say nothing
@@bob494949 I feel like this response ignores the fact that a huge part of the success of Mythbusters was the audience's connection to the people on the show. It was presented in such a way that kids watching would connect with Adam and Jamie, and the show shaped a lot of people's childhoods. So it's normal to have an emotional reaction to hearing that they don't get along and won't work together in the future.
@@HimanXK I know dude. But it Hurts??? Come on, care about real things, not that entertainers are bickering.
@@bob494949 you clearly watched a different video than I did. There was no “bickering” between Adam and Jamie, which is what makes this extra sad. There’s an old adage about how the opposite of love isn’t hate - it is apathy. Adam seemed pretty apathetic about Jamie in this clip, and it sounds like the feeling is mutual, which, for those of us who were fans of the show, is very sad. Let people have their feelings. It absolutely doesn’t mean that we don’t care about actually tragedies, too.
Dislike doesn't mean hostility. It takes a lot of respect and intelligence to make something so great despite human nature. I'm gonna miss these guys.
+13gondolla37 I hope they are able to set aside personal feelings enough to do a reunion show sometime in the future. If they were willing, I could totally see them doing one show per year, something that would probably run during sweeps week. It doesn't sound like it could be that regular, but I do hope they do something, say on the 5 year anniversary of the show's cancellation.
+13gondolla37 Absolutely, so many people seem to have lost this, you don't have to like or get along with someone to work well with them. There have been plenty of people that I have had to work with and have worked with well, that I didn't get along with outside of work. Professionalism, Jamie and Adam have it!
Professionalism. Thank you that was the word I was looking for! Something about the ability to recognize and support genius ideas despite the annoying fleshy meat around them.
+13gondolla37 Not only a lot of respect and intelligence, but also a lot and a *lot* of money. Let's not forget that small detail.
Yes well whatever form profit may take and all that
who else thought they were best friends?
Valkarez I always pictured them off camera thinking up myths to bust together as friends. I'm kinda sad that's not the truth lol
Valkarez Nope, I could always tell there was a certain personality tension between them. But they've always been consummate professionals so it was never obvious. I don't think they dislike eachother, they simply annoy eachother in different ways.
I came for the homophobia...I stayed for the anti-Semitism!

I mean, you're the discarded husk of a human being either way, so I guess the question is moot. Still, I'm curious if it's explicit bigotry that motivates you or you're simply a feeble-minded rube.
What Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman are doing is actually a mark of maturity. That you can disagree with someone or find them disagreeable and still not only still manage to function together, but do remarkable things together. The world can learn a lot from this relationship.

'Go play with the other kiddies' you know by flinging these dumb insults and just randomly throwing in vulgar language, you're not actually arguing over the original subject, he said it might not necessarily be clickbait, you said you up voted your stuff. What does that have to with anything, whether or not he liked his own comment adds nothing to the argument and it is just pointless.
I was in a myth (airplane boarding) and I witnessed their dynamic in person. Jamie was out of the way, never interacted and was barely seen. Adam was around talking to us and being the extrovert he is. There is absolutely professional respect, but i think they dont get along on a personal level. Its ok not to like everyone you work with ,even if you work with them well.
If I recall correctly, Jamie got Adam on MB. Jamie said he didn't have the personality to carry the show, and it needed someone who could be more outgoing. Jamie was just being who he is.
There’s a lot of different personalities out there. Both are good decent people but just don’t mesh well.
@@nicholasmuro1742
Jamie definitely knew he didn't have the charisma to be the main star, hence Adam. Jamie has plenty of good moments too, but it would be a very dry show if it were just him. We be able to respect when people just do not want to be interacting in an environment where they do not want to be, especially since he did everything he needed to do.
@alexanderrobins7497
Exactly. Jamie was stoic. MB was a tv show, not a science class. It needed to be entertaining as well as informative. No way Jamie could pull it off and he knew it. That's why he recommended Adam. Good move
@@alexanderrobins7497 The show crew did a really good job of accommodating Jamie well. The scripted bits help to make their dynamic feel equal, the narrator does a good job of expressing Jamie's feelings when he doesn't say a lot, Adam makes jokes that inherently make you like Jamie and the Build Team also really helped carry the screentime in later seasons. The fact that an introvert/extrovert pair spent a decade with equal popularity on a TV show is super praiseworthy.
Even more sad, the reason Adam Savage signed on for the show was because Jamie Hyneman asked him to co-host with him because Jamie felt he’d make the show too boring if he did it by himself.
+LEDN42 Well, credit to Jamie's intelligence; he wasn't wrong.
Lol, well said
+LEDN42 He was right though. Adam has been working on t.v. and movies since the 80s I believe. And has ran a company for a long while. So he knows how to make a show work. Jamie needed him for sure.
Don't forget when Jamie made Adam shock himself on the tesla coil thingy.
edit: or asked Adam to juggle the bownling balls. Jamie did have some fun on Adam, but not as much as the opposite.
"The idea that Adam never had to respect the shop that Jamie owned is so silly that it's not even funny. I don't come into your shop or home and make a mess without cleaning up after myself."
Who ever claimed Adam didn't clean up?
For one at the start of the series Adam worked FOR Jamie and would therefore have been hesitant to anger the boss and for seconds Adam owns a workshop himself and keeps it pretty neat if you've followed Tested...
Also: you should not interprete too much into what has been seen on screen. They did pretty early on start to dramatize the whole series with overemphasizing the friction and troubles and later on outright milked it for every bit of comedic potential. Sure, both could drive the other one nuts, that is absolute fact from a lot of interviews and panels both have sat on, but that does not mean they did this every second of their collaboration to the utmost extent either.
I do not really understand the problem... they have spent almost 15 years with work on the same and very time consuming project. It's not like they're married or whatever so wanting to do their own thing for some time without constantly carrying this partnership around like an anchor around your neck sounds not too far fetched.

Two smart gentlemen that understand you don't need to be friends to work amicably together and once the cameras stop rolling you can leave it all on the set.
Matt Pearce it definitely wasn't all edited out. The last few seasons, it was getting very noticeable that Jamie was kind of over it. I actually remember when the series finale was announced, specifically saying to my husband, "makes sense, it was starting to feel like they weren't getting along very well and Jamie wasn't enjoying it nearly as much anymore." You have to remember, Jamie didn't expect the show to survive beyond 1 season, let alone 14
The point is they didn't let the tension and arguments detract from the work. They both showed up and shot 14 seasons of the show even though they didn't get along and would often annoy one another. It didn't effect the work in a negative way. It's what being a professional is all about. Personal gripes are put aside and the job always comes first.

It made me really sad because like most fans I wanted to imagine them as super best buds. However, now that I’m a bit older/wiser I realize just how many work hours they spent together and how they absolutely needed that time away from one another. I mean after 14 years that’s to be expected. I respect the shit out of the honesty. Cool stuff insider
Kevin actually now that I think of it, isn't it about 14 years old when kids reach that "I hate everything and everyone" phase?

One of the ways we handle people we don't like. Context is key here, after all I wouldn't say that about Hitler 😂
Did you just pull the Reductio ad Hitlerum card?
Obviously we aren't talking about Hitler we're talking about other people in modern society, I'd be surprised if I or anyone else come into work tomorrow and sees Hitler working there.
“I hate Jamie”
“Now, let test that myth!”
He’s a dick.
Alone Jamie couldn’t even get a show on a public access channel.
The only reason anyone likes the Walrus is because Adam’s affability makes him palatable.
I rather like these sorts of honest, professional relationships with clear boundaries. Where people are like "We don't really get along, but we're a good team."
I thought this had already happened. Why did RUclips recommend it to me four year late?

From what Adam has said over the years, it's simply that they don't think the same. This resulted in a lot of friction between them on projects (Hence he said, "won't work together on other projects), which over the course of many years lead to some distaste for each other. However he's also said that them having completely different approaches to problems likely lead to much better outcomes on a lot of their projects and brought different ideas to the table. Ultimately they both respect each other but they needed some time apart. Adam has said that he does still talk to Jamie a few times a year, and he seems to mention him more frequently lately, so I think after some time apart they may be more friendly these days. However they still likely won't work together as that was what caused the problems in the first place.
Both of these men are a class act. Adam for his honesty and Jamie for his patience, should be shown as an example of how to get along.
So they're not friends, but they don't hate each other either. They just felt it was time to move on to other projects. They have neither love nor hate for each other. In a word their feeling for each other is a "meh" with respect.
Kevin Gomolchak He just said they get on eachother's nerves.
Kevin Gomolchak ummm you missed the drove each other batty part.
+Hans Hrothgar Working well with someone does not make you friends. They have never socialized outside work. They are good co-workers, but not friends.
+Hans Hrothgar Adam has stated this in other interviews. They have never had dinner together, never see each other outside of work, and never visited each other's house. Both are very professional, but they really don't like each other and are not friends, Jamie has stated this as well.
I hate the breaking up of Mythbusters but I can respect the fact that they are acting like adults about this whole thing
So I guess the myth of their deep and loving friendship was *puts on sunglasses* BUSTEEEEED
That was funny.

Lord Caelvanir It is too late for you.
That is the absolute problem with media and all this "stars"-bullshit, people see people for some minutes, seconds or even on single pictures smiling and think they are happy and all good humans, happy because they are rich and famous, but in the rest of 24 hour day they have no idea of who they are, what they are doing, how much cocaine is in their brain, how many children they rape, how often they sit there crying with a shotgun in the mouth etc. It's all fake, it was made to distract, to deceive, to manipulate and so on, but still this is for the most more real than reality.
This is almost like telling kids Santa isn’t real
The way 2020 is going all the kids probably found out this year.
really? This has been known for as long as they were publicly interviewed probably.
I had no idea... I've seen them live. You would never know it.
Yep. Glad we can agree on that.
There has been friction between them on the show since it started, you must not be watching well
xXSHAWNXx420, I've seen several episodes. Guess I missed that!
Ricky Potts well I'm with you, Ricky Potts. I didn't notice it. I thought it was part of the bit. But then again, it isn't a requirement to like your coworker.😜
season 1 was honestly my favorite. Felt the most genuine
It's the pain of realizing that mommy and daddy never loved each other
I honestly never even noticed...they seemed like they were good friends.
+iXulu That is because you only see them build stuff and put it to the test, everyone would get excited/happy doing that. I guess what goes on behind the scenes (planing, paperwork etc) is not as much fun as what we see on the screen, therefore the there might be a whole other tension between them
+T0BBi94 We've all seen parts of the MB show where they were frustrated with each other. Jamie is neat and careful and plans in more detail ... and he likes his shop all neat and tidy. Adam is fast and loose and shoots from the hip, leaving a trail of bodies in his wake. Just different approaches. This speaks to basic personality and that is not something that can be changed or "tolerated" for very long. I respect and appreciate what they produced over the years. For the sake of both of their sanity, it is good that they bring it to a close. Cheers to both of them.
+iXulu - because they're intelligent, mature and composed.
I think the ''Jamie is neat and careful and plans in more detail" and "Adam is fast and loose and shoots from the hip, leaving a trail of bodies in his wake" Can be seen almost in the way they attack zombies in the zombie special (I don't remember which season) Jamie is very restrained and precise, where as Adam goes in all gun blazing. I know this sounds odd but it's just what came to mind.
+Fabian lister adam is actually very organized. watch him on tested
“I trust my coworker not to kill me,” is the only thing you really need in a skilled coworker.
That's true but it's a nice bonus to also like the person you spend 40 hours a week with.
But not the only think you *want*. And since both Adam and Jamie are now well-off and very nerd-famous, they can work with the people they want to work with.
Yeah this has been known. It's not that they dislike each other, they just don't have personalities that go well together.

Its pretty insane though, I may be more indifferent than I realize but I was surprised with the statements Adam has revealed.
Yep at least its mutual, bit i saw them work on that one really cool glass commercial
I feel like my parents just got re-divorced :(

Who cares? What does it matter if they are friends or not they still had a great show I had a bunch of people that I worked with for 10 years that I never hung out with
Absolute respect for each of them for admitting they don't get along and not forcing it to make more money. I could have never told from their performance in the show that they were anything but friends, which speaks to their professionalism.
Really? I always got the vibe they were professional and respectful but had a ton of friction. You see them buttheads and when it’s a TV show they can easily edit it out and pretend like they’re best friends. But they didn’t, which told me there was plenty of behind the scenes friction that didn’t make the cut
lets not twist this, they absolutely did the TV gig for money, nothing else.
Adam worked for Jamie prior to Mythbusters, then stopped doing that because they didn't get along. 5 years later, the TV gig came along...so, they did it for money.
thats absolutely fine, but mythbusters was absolutely a "money gig".
Adam is artsy fartsy, Jamie is forged from starch. I thoroughly enjoyed both of these brilliant, entertaining guys on Mythbusters.
Once the zombies attack, they'll get back together, lol
That is a difficult concept for a great many people to grasp. They don't get along, get on each others nerves but can still respect one another.
InformationIsTheEdge no it isnt

Clearly you and I do not associate with the same caliber of people. In my experience the idea of, I don't have to like you to respect you, is quite foreign to the majority of people. Better for you that that is not what you experience.
InformationIsTheEdge That concept is even tougher to understand in this day and age. Mellinales don't respect anyone they don't agree with.

That doesn't even necessarily mean they *dislike* eachother. There are lots of people I like that I'd never want to work with. 👍
It most definitely means that.
They worked well together just didnt like each other much otherwise
it might not mean that, but I'm pretty dam sure Adam dislikes Jamie. From what I've heard him say and how he worded it...
I can't speak for Jamie, but seeing how he Adam acted on the show, and Jamie's personality, I'll bet he dislikes him as a person as well.
I remember Adam using Jamie's lathe (or something) and completely trashing the thing, leaving a mess, and not really cleaning it up or anything. Jamie seems to be a guy that loves order and cleanliness.
It always surprises me that they weren't friends off set
Penn and Teller aren’t friends either. They’ve both stated that beyond their touring/professional roles, they keep the rest of their lives apart.

They do like each other, but Teller basically taught Penn a huge amount from what I've seen.
It was always colleagues that performed well together then went home rather then best buddies touring America.
You'd be surprised to know how tense things can be off set with all kinds of different TV shows and movies throughout the years. In the Andy Griffith show, Andy Griffith and Frances Bavier (Aunt Bea) had an extremely negative relationship (it was mostly Frances Bavier who didn't like Andy, for reasons he never understood; she apologized to him many years later). In the "I Love Lucy" show, Lucille and her real-life husband, Desi Arnaz (who starred as Ricky Ricardo), had a very tense relationship off set. William Frawley and Vivian Vance, who starred as Fred and Ethel Marz, also failed to get along off set. You'll find this type of thing quite frequently throughout the entertainment industry ("Regis and Kelly" being another example), and it should come as no surprise since these people are actors and are very good at pretending to be anything other than who they really are (yes, even in shows like Mythbusters).
You also have to remember that Jaime is/was Adam's boss at MI6 (he worked for him ling before they started the show). Jaime actually went to Adam and asked if he wanted to help out with the show becasue he knew Adam had a good sense of humor and Jamie had a sense of humor that makes the Mojave look like a flood zone.
M5-Industries. MI6 is the UK's Secret Service. James Bond "works" there.

@@mursuka80that’s a very surface level take. Jamie was probably just aware that he on his own couldn’t carry the show, and in order to make a successful show he would have to work with a personality different to his own, even if it was unpleasant.
I thought this video was gonna be some reporter shoving a camera in his face just to get a one word answer he actually explained very well
This is just two professionals that work well together but don't need to hang out or be friends outside of work.

Watching TV or any other entertainment, it's easy to forget that these people are all simply "going to work" each day. Yes, it might be glamorous and full of "celebrity status", but the reality is, they are doing the job that they are getting paid to do. And just like any one of us, you grit your teeth, do what's necessary, then go home again. Who here hasn't had a bit of trouble getting along with a co-worker but force your way through the work day anyhow?
Kauwhaka Exactly. Famous band members split for the same reason families, close friends and acquaintances do.

There is a saying that goes: "Forcing yourself to feel indiscriminate love is very unnatural. If you try to love everyone you only lessen your feelings for those who deserve your love." By that it should be obvious, that what Adam says is the most honest way to describe his relationship with Jamie. And there is nothing wrong with that. Thats just how things are in the real world :)
People imagine them as buddies rather than coworkers. Almost all of my coworkers I enjoy being around, enjoy the work I did but if they were ever fired, or quit, or got a new job, that would be the last I saw of them. I can't see myself going out to a bar, or hanging out with them outside of work because like Adam said "We get along when we are building something."
That's the natural order of things sometimes and not too unreasonable, but it's not an obvious thing to a lot of people. In my early days of working, I didn't get that. Once I learned to tell a friendly coworker apart from an actual friend, things got a *lot* better for me overall.
@@InfernosReaper a lesson i learned the Hard way.
many people go through the same thing. Thinking friendly coworkers are the same as friends. The trick is to not let it turn you too bitter, or get too involved with them. Just appreciate it for what it is and was.
The vast majority of people I have worked with I never saw again. They mean nothing, yet at the time, they seem to mean everything. Trick is realising they mean nothing AT THE TIME. It's hard, but do-able.
I remember a picture that Adam posted on his Instagram about a year ago showing a selfie of him and Jamie after bumping into Jamie at the airport. Jamie looked like he was thinking 'Christ, I can't get away from this asshole!'

I wanna see a clip where Jamie says Adam is one his closest friends and loved working with him on Myth Busters. Then off camera someone tells him what Adam said. An awkward silence.. followed by a closeup of a single tear running down Jamie’s face.
That's horrible haha
@@PauperoftheFishies I know right? But awesome at the same time.
Then Adam coming in, with a pipette, taking that tear, and busting several tear myths with it, as Jamie rocks in the corner.
Everyone thinks Adam is this great happy go lucky guy but he's not, he can be a real asshole sometimes. True mythbuster fans who have watched a lot of behind the scenes will know this. He isn't terrible, in fact he's a an all around good guy but he can be a dick sometimes. And Jamie is a know it all who is wrong more often than not. I remember watching some behind the scenes episodes where Adam basically made Kari fart on camera and you could tell she REALLY didn't want to, going as far to say that she absolutely had to or she would be fired.
They wouldn't have fired their eye candy. That's originally they hired her for. All the extra she brought to the table was a bonus.
+Mister Hat The first season she worked there, she was almost exclusively backstage helping with aspects of the builds. Do you have a source, or do you just take for granted that others are as misogynistic as you seem to be?
+Johannes Wiberg In that same first season, who's ass did you use to make a mold of when they needed one?
+Mister Hat Firstly, as I wasn't working on the show but merely watching it, it wasn't ME who used an ass to make a mold. Secondly, have you seen the episode? She's not in it much, because they just needed a butt, and they picked a pretty one. After that, she isn't in many episodes, certainly not as a main cast member, for quite a while. Weird use of someone who was hired just as eye candy. This actually DISproves your point. Was that all you had as a basis for your assumption?
Johannes Wiberg You asked for evidence, and I gave it to you. No need to do the old strawman troll.
